Dude, its 2am now. I lost my job last month, and finally start a new one tomorrow. My power went out at 11:30pm, another yank on the n00se getting tighter so to speak. Power came back at 12am-ish, and I've been messing with my furnace trying to figure out why its messed up after getting the open limit switch code. Your video literally gave me the knowledge and location to find the switch and press the manual thingy on it after almost 2 hours of searching. I now at 2am have heat and my house is warming back up from 50 something Fahrenheit. God bless you and your family, past, present, and future. May Jesus bless your works and your health and life. Thank you for making this video. Know that you helped someone in desperate need tonight through your knowledge, expertise, and willingness to share it online. You saved me having to sleep in freezing cold after almost giving up on the furnace and giving in to despair. Thanks to you I get to sleep warm tonight and start my new job tomorrow with one less worry on the plate. For that no words can really express my gratitude. But this I figure is the closest I can get. Thank you.
Hey bud have you done work on MGHA-075AAFC-01 furnace?
Good afternoon Sir, I was wondering if most of this info the same for a MGHA-075AAFC-05 mobile home furnace with a pilot light.
thank you 4 video
Sent you a message per your YT link for ‘91 mfg HVAC DIY parts and servicing in S. California…will call you asap !
Where do you get parts for mobile homes? I've got some things I'd like to fix in mine, but its hard to find bits and bobs.
hello, it does of course depend on what you"re looking for. Bigger items like tubs cost a fortune to ship but faucets and fitting dont. What are you looking for and where are you located?
I just watched your tub replacement video and replaced the sub floor and tub in one bathroom. What do you recommend to use for flooring in a bathroom? This trailer came with... ready for it? CARPET in the bathrooms. I want to buy a new screen door and front door, but I don't know how to measure it correctly. Can you buy popcorn ceiling tiles? I had the skylights replaced and the new ones were bigger, which required cutting some ceiling panels out, so we've just been living with holes.
What does code 12 mean on that furnace,I know it's a inducer relay error but what fixes it
Hello, so on this furnace there's only six codes. And by codes i mean the flashing red light, and then a flame sensor code the yellow light when the flame is on. Are we talking about the same thing?
@randythemobilehomeguy3715 I got it figured out,the relay for the inducer was stuck, had to replace the computer board.
Where do you get the push fittings you mention in this video?
They can be purchased at any big box hardware stores. PushFit, Aqua Lock or Sharkbite are what they are called.
@@randythemobilehomeguy3715 Sounds good, is that a 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch fitting? Will be working on a mobile home bathtub faucet myself this month and figured it would be good to have some of those on hand as a backup plan.
I have that same system , is there a ajustment for the burner ? i think mine may need a tweeking .
hello, no there is no flame adjust. On these units it's the size, or number, of the orifice on the back side of the valve that controls the flame. Have you checked to make sure the orifice is clear? sometimes a spider or whatnot gets in there.
Thats just like my furnace, witch i am having a issue with eather the inducer motor or the pressure switch . Work's on and off i think the inducer motor is sticking or is so dusty that its not pusching enough air to trip the pressure switch.
Hello, it being dusty and slowing the motor makes sense as well as sometimes a little debris like leaves gets in there. If you take the motor off and clean it and the fan blades and check the tube and the intake on the roof for blockage that's the best you can do without using a magnahelic tester . Then it may be time for a new motor. However, if the flame is looking real good it may not be the motor but the switch is going bad. The switch is the cheaper try.
@randythemobilehomeguy3715 bought a new inducer motor did the install, cleaned the air box out ,checked everthing , air box was full of dead wasps , vacuumed everything else out, wiped off all the dust inside and out, put it all together and it fired up like new, first time its ever been serviced since new , thanks for your video and input.
How I know the gas line is open ?
You would smell gas when you push down on the pilot button. It would let out gas into the chamber.
Going to try using this video for reference to replace my thermocoupler. I have something similar, will need to check model number, but the set up looks the same. However I don’t have an on and off switch. What do you suggest I do? Should I cut all power off from circuit breaker panel?
All furnaces should have an on/off switch. It may be located up closer to the blower wheel if it is an older model.
When I was a child & had to light the gas oven, I turned on gas & placed the match inside. I had my face too close as when it lit, a flash came out & I lost my eyelashes & eyebrow hair. To this day, I have a fear of the same thing happening.
That sounds like a scary experience, I’m glad you're okay! It’s amazing the things that stay with us.
This is excellent! Very informative and detailed explanation. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching.
Thank you so very much. Not even with factory instructions was as easy as this. So appreciate it!!
Glad it helped!
hi, I have a question, my furnance is stop working after I replace the air vent cap on the roof. I just buy a regular air vent cap in home depot. I'm not sure if this kind of furnance require a special air vent cap or not.
You should be able to use any kind of cap,did you put the cap on to tight or drop something in the pipe.
Hello, like on the end of the video, roof caps are very unique for mobile home furnaces. There is a two part cap outside, one with a gap to draw in oxygen and a second to exhaust the spent gas. You can’t just replace it with a single cap from the hardware store. The model number if the furnace will tell you which one you need. Use your model number and look up ‘Roof Jack’ and you can shop online.
Been under my mobile home almost weekly to repair the old grey pipe. I have bought a ton of shark bite fittings over the last 4 years. It would have been cheaper to replace it all I think. I have to get under there today too.
Hello, sorry to hear that. I know what you mean. worked under there for years pulling that insulation. Good luck but sounds like you got a handle on it!
Thanks for the help Randy!!
hello, I appreciate the comment
What brand heat tape you like the best?
Hello, I like the Easyheat brand. It’s the braided type which you can feel the heat when it’s plugged. You have to buy it by the foot and also a plug you have to attach like on the video.
@@randythemobilehomeguy3715 Thanks
Thanks. Appreciate the follow up.
Mine is a rapid flash and says internal control fault
Just fyi, I was quoted $2,000 for this….
You were quoted for just the faucet replacement? That would really suck, especially seeing how easy it is. There is a few different options for replacement only if your wall is thick enough. Of course they make the interior walls thin hence the elbows but if your wall is thick enough you can put a regular faucet, you just have to change the end of the pipe to go straight into the bottom. thanks for the comment.
Any other type of fixtures you can replace this with?
You're supposed to put your screws in the slotted holes to allow for expansion, and not tighten them for the same reason. Your work will self destruct if you are where temperatures have a lot of differential, which is almost everywhere. You'll be okay in a climate like southern California.
Hello and thanks for the feedback. I’ve had lots of trouble here in Colorado with just putting the screws in the holes lightly. I understand the reason you explain and have heard it many times but long ago, 15 years or so, I started putting the screws exactly like I did on the video and have yet to have a problem. This house done a few years ago is still going strong, proof to the method shown. Thanks for the reply
If you can turn the shaft that blowers coming right off
Thanks you saved me. I had undone the 3 screws including the awkward one but it wouldn't come off. I didn't want to force it just in case I needed to slide it in some direction to unlock it. Your description gave me the confidence to just pull it off. It was glued with silicone. Fantastic job. Thank you so much!
So, say you are replacing that 14" fiberglass seal. How do you get it to stay where it needs to without the seal being broken/tore?
I was always told not to use emory cloth for cleaning the flame sensor but to use something similar in texture to a dollar bill.
Make sure you re lubricate the draft inducer motor as it tends to run noisy when dry. It’s a little ac motor w two fans at each end of it. It’s contained in the black plastic tube you see on this video! 3 and 1 oil works best. Lubricate the bearings at each end of the motor. It’s located behind the small fans. It’s a little tricky but doable. Your ears will thank you. 🙏 😅
It looks like it could be easy. I'm just afraid of it blowing up in my face and night-night!
Thank you man. 🙏🏻 I’m attempting this my first time on a 2017 model, smh. They don’t make them well at all anymore lol!
I replaced flame sensor igniter and the chamber ignites but runs but my blower won’t come on. The red light slowly flashes continuously.
Thank you! I was having the hardest time figuring out where the piolet actually was in there!
I'm looking to revamp my kitchen sink area, water and the drains. Need to up grade every thing and insulate.
Omg thank you so much it was a spider nest just like you said in your video
Hi Randy, I have checked for blockages , checked igniter and checked the venting for blockage all 3 are fine. What else could it be for lockout due to failed ignition? Thank you for the videos
Same here. I replaced the igniter although mine looks slightly different from the 1 in the video the black ignition part is more flat and square than cylinder shaped like the video. Also my replacement was just slightly shorter than the 1 I removed but it said it would replace ignitor for m1m series...anyway it glows and then kicks on and I get flame then after a couple seconds the flame goes out. It does this until it locks out due to failed ignition. I've cleaned the burner and have no spiders or debris in mine. I'm not getting a green light tho on my control board and the blower is not starting after the flame comes on before it goes out again.
@@jamesharris4984 I'm going to try the gas valve next. Not cheap but not sure what else to try.
@jamesharris4984 I'm having same issue. Still getting "lockout due to failed ignition", even though there is ignition for a few seconds
Thank you! This video was most helpful. You saved me $75 to have a furnace guy come and take two mins to do. I am subscribed!
Thank you for this video. I just finished replacing my inducer motor and everything works great now. I'll keep the old one as a spare and see if I can do some maintenance on it.
I was trying to help troubleshoot a friends furnace last night. Had flame, blower on, but no heat, solid red light on control board. I do remember not having continuity on igniter(other video called this flame sensor), but wasn't sure if closed when it warmed or something. I think this is the fix though. Going to buy one and swap it. Thanks for the video! *Edited to say I got it fixed! Lol, it wasn't the ignitor. It was actually a spider web in the orifice, exactly like in your other video. I wouldn't have known to check that if I hadn't been looking through your videos. Thanks again man.
Heck ya, I actually didn't know shark bites were the same as quick connect for air lines. I've done this for air lines that didn't want to release, but thought shark bites were more permanent somehow, lol. Thanks!
looks fairly lightweight.
Where do i buy the parts? Web page?
Do i have to close the gas valve for doin this ?
Great vid.
please help...are there window screens for these windows?
You can have screens made. If at all possible, if you have any old ones with the framing, you can take it into a window or glass company and they can make you new ones. There are two sizes of the framing material out there. It's best to bring an old one in with you. If you don't have one, then take really good measurements of how wide the track for where the screen fits into. Use your phone and snap a picture with your tape measure on it when you go to the window company, they will want to see it.
Thank you for the video! Laminate flooring for the window trim is a great idea! I am searching for how I do the outside of the window. We will be replacing siding after we replace windows. Should I need to cut back any of the old siding? I don't even know where to start. lol
I cleaned my still won't light

Thank you so much, very easy instructions man! Also love the fact you gave us those 2 options on the different type of levers/furnaces...I saved this video just incase I ever have trouble lighting my pilot, thanks again!
How do I start this type of furnace for the first time?
