Thank you so much this video was extremely informative. As a younger renter it is nice to know how to properly use appliances and in proper order for the next tenant.

Thank you so much! I looked for this information all over TH-cam and people mainly talk about switching out the soak pads. This was exactly what I needed! 🎉

Thank you for this video. Just moved to a house that has this switch and the AC controller next to it. I had no idea what it was or how to use it. So thanks for clarifying it for me.

Thanks, today it was 111F with 35% humidity, it was blowing around 92F air in, my house is 96F. I think it was a tad too hot for the cooler today.

My swamp cooler is on top of the house. Where would I find these settings for the swamp cooler. The management company uses the swamp cooler as the central air conditioner. I hope that makes sense, the best I can describe it. Thanks in advance!

Do I have to drain the water pan each time after daily use?
Do I leave the water ON after use or do I have to turn the water OFF after use?

Thank you for watching my video. No, you don't want to drain it after each use. You only drain it at the end of the season when you are ready to turn it off. You can leave the water on. The pan fills to a certain point and automatically stops filling, it will add water when it is needed. Great questions to ask! :)

My a/c was set up with only 3 of those options. Pump only, high cool and low cool. However, the pump only option blows air. Could this configuration create any problems? Should I ask for the pump only to be truly pump only or to be given a vent only option?

Can I run my unit 24/7 in summer? My in laws across the street run there’s for only a few hours a day on and off but I can’t roll like that

Thanks for watching. Yes you can run it 24/7 however, this will put stress on your motor as well as the belt. You may need to replace them more often. Running your swamp cooler 24/7 will also increase your electric bill.

Why do I have professionals every year hooking up my swamp cooler and it won’t keep it more than 5° less than the outside temp then telling me nothing is wrong with it and that’s just how it is? My wife and kids stay home all day and I’m starting to get kissed off that it won’t get below 90° in the house I’ve rented for 4 years.

Thank you for watching my video. I am wondering do you live in an area that has high humdity? If you do, that could be the cause for not cooling down the home. If you don't live in an area like that, then I would suggest making sure the water is running through the lines onto the pads and also that the pads are clear of debris. I hope that helps.
