This channel celebrates landscapes; capturing them with my beloved camera in some pretty epic places.
Whether a quintessential UK scene or an epic vista further afield, I aim to pass on my passion for landscape photography so that you too can experience the buzz of capturing 'that' shot or the learn from some of my crashing mistakes.
Join me, let's explore and learn together and have a few laughs on the way.

When did you last try something really different? 📷
Finally I got to have my day learning something really different with an inspirational tutor... but how do I ensure that my lesson had impact? After several failed attempts I found the solution and it wasn't what I expected.
Also I wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU 🙏 for the likes and comments and constructive advice you have given me this year. Your support is HUGELY appreciated and so I'll crack on with developing the channel as long as it is wanted.

Prior to a recent visit to the splendid Dingle Peninsula, Ireland, I became obsessed with one area in particular and made it my mission to capture the focus of my affection as often as I could. ICM is on my bucket list. Thanks for this Louise. There is something special about being a novice. That thing of jumping on a new learning curve. BTW, D J Spoonley's recommendation is well deserved Louise. Wishing you a peaceful and happy holiday season with family and friends.🙏 Cheers from across the big pond. New project starting in January. Well outside my comfort zone.🤪
@@DanaPushie Hey Dana, I really hope you are feeling better after your trip to Blighty. So sorry we gave you our germs. I hope you have a smashing Christmas Dana, thanks for making me smile a lot this year man. See you on the other side 🎄👍❄️

Happy Christmas Louise. I've enjoyed your videos this year. Might have to try some ICM again this week whilst whistling Sussex by the sea ;)
Ohhhh happy Christmas to you and your lovely family. Hopefully Ben and I will be out tomorrow 🤞… have a smashing one Mike. 👍
Awesome photos, Louise! I was in Ireland two years ago on a tour (not photo). I did have a little time, and I took a wonderful photo on the Inishowen Peninsula of Buncrana. The photo has the north side of Inch Island in it. Your video brought back many memories. Would love to return someday. Always love your videos and thank you much for sharing. A recent video by Darren Spoonley recommended that your channel was worth a watch. I have since watched a few of your videos and really like your style and content. Yours ICM pictures became minimalist and beautiful. About 7-8 years ago, I worked on a project called “Nature’s Figures,” where I spun and shook the camera, often focusing on big stones as the subject. It resulted in all sorts of shapes, ranging from mysterious figures to large birds. It was exciting, allowing the imagination to take over. Wishing you a Merry Christmas.

very enjoyable 🙂 next time you're over this way, it's worthwhile checking out the cascades that, well, cascade down the mountainside in the upper Swansea Valley. They can be accessed from the A4067 just north of Craig y Nos by turning off on to the unclassified Trecastle road. After a mile or so there are parking spaces. Then, after crossing the river Tawe, the cascades lead to its source and an escarpment high above the valley, and eventually to Llyn y Fan Fach and Llyn y Fan Fawr. There is also a lovely ancient standing stone, Maen Mawr, there too, but the cascades are rarely photographed so can make for some unique images.

@@MrCaliber30 thank you 🙏… I’ve just getting that one printed for my wall. It just makes me smile. Thanks for the comment 👍
@@louisewelcomephotography I have also started printing more pictures. Sad when they just sit on the hard drive and never get printed. Maybe you should start selling calendars like many other "youtubers"?
Well done. Enjoyable.
@@dennispenton2052 thank you Dennis 👍
I am an old photographer and I have never really been been inspired by other peoples pictures, I have always found my own places and subjects to take pictures of, but after saying that I do watch TH-camrs going about their picture taking and they are very good at it, their results are second to none and the gear that they use I can only dream of, some even have camper vans better than some of the Hotels I have stayed in when traveling yes some of them are good entertainers too. I liked your waterfall pictures they looked great on the TV and far better than the weather they were taken in. I have yet to take a picture of a waterfall but hopefully one day I will. Thank you for sharing your day with us. Take care...
Hey Des, I really enjoyed reading that. I know what you mean re the campers. I do have one but it just has a king size bed in it with an electric blanket (guess my priority 😉) any cooking is out the back in the rain. I do get swept along by the loveless of others’ work and that can be as much a negative as a positive (ish). Thanks for the comment and if you are uk based, I hope the storm has not affected you too much. 🙏

Nice one Louise, I always shot for yourself and Nuts to anyone else, well unless they are paying you !
@@paultrunfull3324 an important distinction there Paul 😉😂. That made me laugh, thank you 👍
Very nice. I'm quite the fan of the image @ 2:50!
Thank you Brian. I do like it and it would come a close second. 😊. Have a good week and cheers for the feedback 👍
Absolutely excellent video, just subscribed! Always love a good waterfall video! 🤪
Ohhhh so do I… Joe, moving water is so addictive to capture. I’m already planning a return. Welcome to the channel and thank you 🙏
I love watching videos from other photographers, and take inspiration from them, but when I'm out in the field I just do my own thing. My brain forgets everything I've watched so I naturally seek an image that pleases me. This tends to present itself as a view from a third person pov. I want to create an image that I want to be in, that relaxes me. What I'm trying to get at, create photos that please you! :)
@@Rick--A-F I agree Rick. I didn’t realise that I sometimes did this… now I am aware, I can be more purposeful and hopefully train my brain to forget! Thanks for the feedback and have a good week 👍
It might look like a tripod but I bet your other half is carrying a cricket bat and a tin of linseed oil. Haha....
lol… he would if he could. That made me chuckle, and him too. Thank you 😉😂
