There were some definite keepers in this video Louise, I am a sucker for seascapes with a lighthouse or a rock-arch. Great video, thanks for taking us to Ireland!
Love Fanad lighthouse always find a different composition when I go there. There is a really interesting beach beside the tourist shop at low tide there are some really amazing faces in the stones really worth a visit.
Some great places to photograph, lucky you. Lucky me. I am in Northern California, moving soon to a small town in a coastal redwood forest that puts me 25 minutes from the Pacific coast. Can't wait to explore once I'm settled in. You'd love our coastline.
Lovely place, lovely shots! When we were in the West of Ireland my father in law dragged us to Knock instead of the coast... Absolutley fantastic if you want self service holy water from a tap but not the water I was looking for!
@@terrysankey3982 oh Terry that made me roar. I’m currently living the rock and roll life playing scrabble with my mother and I’ve just put Knock down… thank you for the inspiration. So sorry for your disappointment though 👍
Louise Gorgeous pictures what a great lighthouse and pictures . Reminds me of Northern California rock formations off the coast similar to these. Crescent City has a lighthouse on a rock formation overlooking the city. I spent a week touring the Northern California Coast with a hiking group. We hiked the Redwood forest each day in the morning and spent the afternoon at the coast . The trees were so large I used my Rokinon 14mm2.8 astrophotography lens to photograph the trees
Oh wow... I've only ever seen them that size on the telly box. Maybe one or two in NZ a decade or so ago. The more you tell me about California, the more I think 'one day'. As ever, thank you of your feedback.
So many great locations in one video, really liked the images you managed to capture as well. Think this is the reality of most landscape photographers , we dont get the opportunity to keep revisiting locations until we get the conditions we are after, you just have to make the best of the location as you find it, and you certainly did that . Really liked that !

enjoyed seeing your take on Donegal especially the lighthouse location Louise as that's one I have on a map pin and would love to capture and process in black and white.
Fanad light house is quite nice, been there in past ant took some Fotos from approx Position 4. Hope while being in Donegal, you went to the Slieve League and Muckross Head. The county has so much to offer.

There are some images in there I'd be very happy to come home with! I wonder if there was a vertical image to be had with the long narrow band of stairs at the first lighthouse going from the top of the cliff down to the crashing waves? I've been taking more verticals lately, and very happy with some of the results. Safe travels!
Hi Louise. I reckon you've done the area proud. Your shots from there are worthy of anybody wall. Just one question , to get those long exposure shots, which filter are you using? Thanks Mark
@@Room6photography hi Mark. Nisi CPL and then Lee Little/Big stoppers. They tint blue do will probably consider replacing at some stage. I just don’t want the expense at the moment. Thanks btw 👍
You need to do the Wild Atlantic Way. Rest of Donegal coast is spectacular. Next counties south of Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim, are full of mountains, beaches, lakes, forests, waterfalls etc. Mayo has similarly dramatic cliffs etc. Galway has desolate mountains and vast boglands. Clare has another craggy coastline and cliffs. Limerick……..exists (sorry Limerick). Kerry is like the Isle of Skye, Cornwall and the Lake District rolled into one. West Cork is more spectacular coastline and mountains and the last bit towards Kinsale is like the coast of Brittany.
Well that’s sorted my next few years 😉. Thank you 🙏. I am going to dingle in October as I have my eyes on a few rugged coastal locations. But I’ll check out a few more of your suggestions for the next few years. Thank you hugely for the feedback. Really helpful. 👍
I and I think many others would be happy with what you didn’t like. 😊. The “soft” image because of the wind looked absolutely fine on my 55” OLED TV. I think we try too hard to get every shot pin sharp at 100% zoom and we really don’t need to. The images are lovely the locations stunning and the video enjoyable. I think and I emphasise the “I think”, the problem we all have is seeing fabulous dramatic or moody shots from places and then expecting to get the same on one or two visits. The chances are the fabulous images are by photographers that go there on a regular basis. That stay close enough to get great shots in stormy conditions or even in glorious sunshine depending on the location. I think we put too much pressure on ourselves to get the great shots. I went to Glen Affric in 2021 and stayed locally for a week. I visited the view point daily until eventually everything fell into place. One of the few times if not the only time I’ve done something like that and it paid off.
@@AccessiblePhotography ahhh Alistair, do you know, that soft shot looked better on my big screen than it did in my editing suite. I think a bit of distance from looking at an image can be helpful.
