The Fear of Life & Unrealized Potential | what is the Puer complex?
Welcome♡ I hope you guys enjoy this video, I was debating posting it for a while because it’s a bit of a sensitive topic, however, I strongly believe that self-awareness is the key to all change, so I hope this might help!
The Puer, or eternal child complex, is a common manifestation of the shadow. It shows up as a perpetual hesitation to act because of fear, you may struggle to commit to anything in life, and always have one foot in, one foot out. And unfortunately, this is exactly what holds you back from giving your all to any one dream or goal you have… always stuck in this fantasy as an escape from the troubles of reality, the result: a half-lived life.
If the concept of shadow work is new to you, you can check out my video on it here:

I hope this all makes sense, but if not, feel free to ask or let me know in the comments😊

Interesting perspective. Survival should be on your own means. You Should Learn To NOT rely on others to survive. This is not a healthy mentality to require others in your life to get by.

Great content. THANK YOU. I pushed down my anger for many years, which was not a good thing for my mental health. Now, my young daughter screams and yells when she is upset and we tell her "that is inappropriate," and other admonishments like that. Instead, I am trying a different approach recently (not admonishing her, trying to remain calm myself, and just letting her work through it and self soothe).

I resonated with this state of mind currently but putting people into boxes by constantly saying "they do this they do that" and not identifying yourself with all humanity through not identifying with that part in you is very much the problem in the first place with psychology. We all share the same issues just reflected in different degrees or your compensating on the other side. This "complex" is generated from alienation from the people around you and then you in relationship to your own self "the shadow". The thing goldless people in psychology will never come to know is that the ego takes the place of God if the real God is not trusted or known. It is generated from false identities. It doesnt need to exist AT ALL but it can only be replaced by God himself. The ego says "if this is true then I must do this to compensate". It is generated soley from fear of rejection. Decideding to place more in the persona box then the shadow box doesn't make anyone more enlightened or even close to it. Quite the opposite. It actually just validates the matrix of constant comparison and lies that caused all this mess to begin with. This is an extremely hightened persona society we live in. More so than any previouse genation. Do you honestly think cave men had this problem? The persona arrogantly believes its actually achieving "success" based on cultural and society it lives in. Its success is determined only by its own arogant beliefs about itself also known as self righteousness. The best a godless psychologist can come up with is how to be a proper "God" to itself. You were not created to be your own judge and God. You will never be a perfectly "good" God to yourself. Spending your life trying to achieve that is an avoidance of taking responsibility for your sins against God and trying to acheive "independence". Your not made to be independent from God. Its not ever gonna work. Anyone who genuinly believes they can be independent from everything is laughable to me. A thousand psychology books aint gonna fix you or your self judgment. All of this mess of disorders complexes yada yada is created from a society that validates itself as God and compares itself constantly. Depression and everything else fights in opposition to it by no longer wanting to play along in the illusion of fakness and personas. It reflects in "inmaturity" until the truth of who they actually are is absorbed from the source of love. GOD. Not your opinion of yourself and your current standing based your own works and achievements. It will never leave you satified. The heros journey is a journey to God.

this is so weird, i felt so angry and scared watching this, it even made me tear up by the idea that i am not ready to accept myself, i avoid my emotions sooo much that even bringing the idea of observing my reactions or emotions made me mad. Right now in my head i hear just no you cant do it. When you said to aks myself why 100 times. THAT PART. My thoughts were how dare you, what do you think i am going to find out?what do you see and i dont? it made me very scared, but not because YOU see something, because i am not ready to accept the answer, something in me that is fundamentally unacceptable. But i am glad i felt this, this actually shows me i need to work on my shadow even if its uncomfortable. For a bit of context in my childhood i was deeply criticized, mostly for negative emotions like sadness, anger, fear.

may i ask if you have a place to find resources of finding book similar to those you cover? or if you have a list for those pursuing careers related to what you talk about. i'm someone pursuing counseling, yet i don't read too much literature related to it as most bookstores near me seem pretty lackluster and repetitive with the same information in their psych and neuro sections. i'd love to read more in this area, but have struggled finding books that aren't surface level summaries. i'd really appreciate your advice here :)
