Hey guys, welcome to another writing vlog! ˙✧˖°📷 ⋆。˚꩜ Have you ever dealt with writer's block? What are your thoughts & advice for overcoming it? (I'm sorry for my voice in this, I've had a bit of a cold the past week but better now!)
Writers block is so hard to get through! One way I’ve found helps is to plan out what your next writing session will look like (at a conceptual level). This will allow you some time to ruminate on that idea from one session to the next and hopefully avoid second guessing yourself! Great video! 😊
I'm glad you're slowly getting out of your writer's block! I've often heard that taking a break from current projects and doing something new helps to get the juices flowing. And I think it's great that you write summaries of what you plan on writing! Great way to stay on track! I've also heard that engaging in other activities can help too. If you have a favorite hobby (or one that you've wanting to try), you can do that whenever you're faced with writer's block. Or you can exercise to clear your head. Just last night, I exercised after a hiatus. At first, I wasn't going to because I didn't exercise all week (like I previously planned to...but unexpected things happened). But I was feeling pretty stressed and anxious...and I'm glad I did. My body felt more relaxed and I slept good! I can relate to dealing with writer's block. I had that issue a while ago, and it lasted for years. I was in school at the time, so class assignments, tests, projects, and everything else was draining my brain dry! I couldn't think of ANY new ideas...not due to fear, but simple because creativity was in a VERY DEEP SLEEP. When I graduated college, I slowly got back into reading short books, watched writing videos online, and even tried to watch new movies. Eventually, that helped me to slowly get out of that place. I've been feeling unmotivated to write lately (which is ANNOYING!). But it's because life has been getting in the way. Hopefully, I can get back into the swing of things soon. I really want to continue my projects. Thanks for your transparency and I hope you enjoy the upcoming week ahead! P.S.: Another tip that I've heard has been helpful for writers is to share updates regularly on social media or on TH-cam. By letting others know about current writing projects, struggles, and even sharing what your project is about has helped writers to hold themselves accountable (especially when they see how excited followers are to see their finished book)!
This was so helpful! I've been going through a pretty bad block in my writing as well recently so this video was exactly what I needed to feel motivated again. Thanks so much for the helpful tips! I love your Scrivener theme by the way! How are you liking the program so far? :) I personally cannot bring myself to use any other writing program now after using Scrivener 😂 It's way too good!
Aww I’m glad I’m not alone! Thank you for the kind words, I’m happy to hear this resonates, it’s been maybe a week since I’ve filmed this and surprisingly I’ve got back into a good writing flow (after getting stuck for a month!) so it seems it really did help💪🏻 And thank you!! I’m so happy with scrivener and it was entirely your influence! I refuse to write on google docs after experiencing how easy (and aesthetic) it is in comparison✨ It made my day seeing your comment, thank you! Also, I haven’t forgotten about the writing group and I’m looking forward to being able to chat & share resources there😊 All the best💗
Yay! I'm happy my comment made your day! And I'm really glad to hear you were able to get back into the writing groove! It's such a rewarding feeling once you finally find your flow again ✨️ Haha! I'm happy to hear my recommendation worked for you! I love to recommend Scrivener to every writer I know 😂 I used to write on Google Docs too a few years ago and I remember how finicky it was! I was always so paranoid about losing my work 😅 I'm also a huge sucker for customization and the ability to make an aesthetic workspace, so that was a huge plus for me 😁 I'm excited for the writing group! Don't feel like you have to rush though! I'm looking forward to joining when it's ready 😊 I'll keep an eye out for your updates!
Congratulations on your presentation There super pro There's a few cures for writer block One is write anything that comes to your head no matter how senseless it seems This helps out sometimes Another technique is start writing when you first get out bed when you are mentally strongest Hope this may help Thanks for your work and download Again your videos are really really good
