Step 1- watch previous video on how to check your TPS and set it to stock .4000v found here. I use Belray H1R on my RMX250 and never have problems. Just did both top and bottom ends and lower end crank was clean.

I’ve heard some people having issues with bike getting lean due to back pressure and the ecu thinking it’s getting more air when the piston rings start to wear from new… Have you ever had this problem?
Yes. Once the rings start to wear out, the CCPS senses a drop in pressure and attempts to lean it out bc the worn top end parts will make it want to run rich. So it attempts to compensate the fueling and IG timing. This bike really needs a EGT's sensors to monitor pre and post combustion, like and US DS O2 sensors on your car. But the sensors will get destroyed from high heat out the exh pipe and also contaminated fast due to the premix all over it.
@ is there a way to reset the system to prevent it running lean and keep it running sweet as the rings do start to slowly wear down before a piston is due? Thank you for your reply and help 😁

Yes, but it needs the 300sx tuned map file so you can tweak it via the wifi app..
Hey thanks for the video. I have a 2024 250sx. I am new to KTM and was wanting to get a service manual cannot find one. Also my bike did not come with wake up dongle to program power valve. How can I get these items. Thanks

Great video but I am wondering if you can help me with a problem, I noticed other people in the comments also have. I have backed the idle screw completely off along with the cold start screw. Set the TPS to 0.40V and am attempting to do the TPS value reset procedure by twisting the throttle 3 times exactly like you have outlined but no matter what I cannot get the fuel pump to cycle and confirm that the reset happened. The bike is a 2024 TE300, I am wondering if the actual TPS is bad and the ECU isn't measuring correct values for throttle opening to trigger the reset. When fully open throttle I am getting a reading of 3.92v do you know if this seems like it is correct voltage for WOT?
Wide ope voltage is usually around 4.5v, not sure whats up with that, email me and I have a document that may be a little easier to follow..support@wulfmx.com

I remove the stocker cast pistons right away and do Wossner or VHM forged pistons at 15 hrs max to avoid excessive wear.

If your red idle is backed out, the yellow idle backed (out and pulled out), set your tps to .4000v and lock it in. Do the reset, then put the idles back to where they were..it should work.

I mostly do single track slow stuff here in az desert, 2012 300xc lots of lugging, everyone I ride with runs klotz, but I just got 927 and some dominator for free, stock with the klotz and save the others for my x2 jet ski?

@@kabruning89 I would stick with the Klotz if it is working well...the 927 has a high flashpoint and can gum up the pv for slower single track stuff.

The manual says to only do half throttle position and not a full throttle reset. Is there a reason for your process? I’m really curious about how you came up with this process. Fantastic video and well explained. Just got a 23 250xc and am learning the ropes here.
@@blarpieman The 1/2 throttle is for the pv resets, for sure do them on both maps. I didnt think I said to do a full throttle in the video?

Not on the 450! Just one large washer that is cupped.
Castor oil has its advantages and has its place but for most real world applications i would choose synthetic over castor, low performance trail bikes or low power 2 strokes like chainsaws and other various small engines i would definitely avoid using castor oil. Overtime it has a nasty habit of building up varnish that can plug exhaust ports, gum up powervalves and stick rings. However in extreme high performance racing applications where the engines will receive constant rebuilds and high maintenance and be ran in extremely harsh conditions then the castor is a very good choice, also castor oil is one of the only oils that will blend with methanol and nitromethane so in those applications castor is almost the only option(only a small handful of synthetics that will blend with methanol).
A little acetone will help the oils and fuel to mix with ethanol also.
so what did you find ? more performance over stock? more performance over the vforce?
it feels like it helped bottom end a little bit, but I ended up breaking my wrist at the end of the day testing so it was only one day on the track.

@@jakesubi the reeds are a good mod, the Vforce4x is good too..the best bang for the buck is the reflash, then a Doma Pipeset, or a JSV cone pipe. Check out my website for more info on these! Thx! 🙏 www.wulfmx.com

@@jozeluixjozeluix perfect oil for it, keep in mind, it can't be mixed with other premixes and it can become unsuspended in colder temps..Motul710 is a great synthetic injector safe alternative.

Where did you get the open airbox cover?
your dealer can order it, they are sold new with two covers and some other parts like the air pump for the forks, etc
My son is going with his -24 sx125 and with Hgs system and ktm racing map andit works nice. Will any day now get the new top kit with akra system from Ktm and then their new map for that and see how it will do. (should do big difference i hear) But 125 is more for my son that is 15, for me 250 and up works solid. :)
I did this on my 24’ 250XC following the instructions to the letter and now I’m flashing 6 short Fi codes (TPS error) that I’m going to have to take to the dealer to get cleared/reset… Is there something I’m missing? The bike started up and ran fine.
Did the reset work and you heard the fuel pump cycle? If so, I wouldn't worry about it. These codes come and go on these bikes and unless the bike exhibits poor running conditions, I would ignore it. I did see a guy disconnect the battery overnight and the light went away for a diff code. This is the first report of there being an issue with the TPS light..when I did mine, I got a light for the fuel pump and it went away a day later and the bike never had any running issues and the light never came back.
@@themotocrossmodchannelWulfMXI heard the fuel pump cycle and did the battery disconnect as well to no avail. I suppose I will wait it out and see if it goes away. Thanks for the reply.

Just an update for anyone with a ‘24, the code did not go away after riding and it started dying at idle. I took it to the dealer and they could not remove the code. The XC2 read as “TPS ground fault”. They uploaded an ECU update (already had 104 map so not sure what this one was) and it cleared the code and runs very crisp now. They said that the new TBIs are extremely sensitive to any adjustments by the owner and that when using the XC2 they can adjust for live values while running that differ slightly bike to bike. KTM is allegedly locking these ECUs more and more to deter tuning, so proceed with caution.
@@robertlynch3553 That is crazy, I haven't encountered anyone in 2 yrs that had the same issue as described. I hope it all runs fine..please post back long term results..not sure why the ECU would not clear any codes, that is strange.
Does turning the yellow screw only affect the cold start idle and nothing else
once it is pushed in, yes.

Any chance that castor oil will gum up injectors? I briefly ran it in my 250 SX tbi and had no issues. Just got a new 300sx tbi and I wonder if castor oil could cause issues with the injectors if it’s used long term

Gizmo mods billet reed cage rips on my 23 ktm 125
I did all this and my bike still keeps getting random bog down till shutting off. It can even be on idle and itll just die. Ive taken it to the dealer 7 times now today june 17 2024 was my 8th time there and not even they know.
Umm ya... The rubber dampers can go 50hrs!! 15hrs is rediculous.... Same as changing oil every 5. Oil can go 20 hrs. Dampers 50hrs.
I haven't met a single person who has had these last more than 15 hrs. Maybe with the way you ride, they could last 50 hrs but no one I know has had them last. Whatever lol!

So quick question… did this on both white and green maps after my 2023 300xc came back from shop. Then checked each map again using same procedure. No noises the second time through. Normal? One and done? I’m thinking the KTM tech never did this reset procedure because I heard the noises first time through.
