Just checking, how would you adjust your squish if it was out? I’m Picking not by changing the base gasket as that would effect the deck height?? Cut the head maybe??
Yes, if for some reason you had "zero" deck where the piston is dead even with the top of the bore when it's at TDC, and you do a squish test and discover you have excessive squish, you can machine the head gasket surface sealing area in a lathe and get the desired clearance. Keep in mind that the more material that is removed, the "less" volume you will have in the head so your compression ratio will go up. Your octane must follow and go up with the cuts. The larger the bore size the larger the squish gap is needed..rule of thumb for the 125's is about 1mm. Great question!!
I’ve heard some people having issues with bike getting lean due to back pressure and the ecu thinking it’s getting more air when the piston rings start to wear from new… Have you ever had this problem?
Yes. Once the rings start to wear out, the CCPS senses a drop in pressure and attempts to lean it out bc the worn top end parts will make it want to run rich. So it attempts to compensate the fueling and IG timing. This bike really needs a EGT's sensors to monitor pre and post combustion, like and US DS O2 sensors on your car. But the sensors will get destroyed from high heat out the exh pipe and also contaminated fast due to the premix all over it.
@ is there a way to reset the system to prevent it running lean and keep it running sweet as the rings do start to slowly wear down before a piston is due? Thank you for your reply and help 😁
Just curois I have a few 23 husky 125s we have some stuff done to them and a stock bike but I was curois of advancing timing on them and I haven’t dug into them yet but do u know if there ecu drivin or will the stator advance the timing ??
I have a 2023 ktm 125 TBI and i just did the top end. I did the power vale reset and i noticed that on deceleration/coming off the throttle the FI light will blink. But when I ride it normally/on the gas it does not. Suggestions
@@themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX I can’t find a top end kit for the 23-24 and if I do the weisco one only has 1 ring instead of 2 I’m wondering if that’s ok?

Was there anything wrong with this bike or just doing it as preventative?

Been pulling timing off the top and it makes more power
Deck height should be set after the cylinder is torqued
yep, all good here.

Did u take off the servo
We’re did you get the kit from for the top end
Im a Wossner dealer..

@@beckhambailey9348 If Wossner is out of them, get a Wiseco Pro-Lite 2 ring..call them for a part number.
@@themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX what size? 53.50 or 54? Or whatever one?
They only make one size for the pro-lite series.@@beckhambailey9348
