    Nice! Congratulations on 500 subs!

    They make the coolant tubes for the fc fc 4strokes . They don’t have the thermostat in them and they fit .

      The do, they are also prone to leaking at the o-ring, and cracking, (this has happened to a few bikes).

    Good info! Just purchased a 2024 KTM300SX. Did not know my bike had a thermostat? Just got back from the garage. Yep! It has one!

      @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yep...the biggest thing with the 300sx is the stocker piston skirts are too long on some of them, they used old parts and if you have one, the piston skirt hits the crank in the back and it's a grenade fest..have you followed any of my posts on Vitalmx?

    • @peteregger7928

      @@themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX Hopefully because mine is a 2024 it doesn't have the piston skirt issue? Saw a video on a channel called Pinit Racing where he felt that was an issue with some of the new bikes although his motor had not grenaded itself yet. He also increased the horsepower by about five because KTM had sized the wrong cylinder base gasket. I'll check out Vital Mx.

    Are there any negative side effects for deleting the thermostat? Just wondering why KTM puts them on the bike if it's not necessary.

      I wouldn’t delete it. My TX300 runs like garbage when it’s not hot. The thermostat does 2 things: 1) helps the engine warm up and 2) if the coolant gets too cold then the thermostat will close to keep the engine at operating temperature.
      “People are complaining that the thermostat sticks” should then replace the malfunctioning thermostat, not delete it.
      I just found kits that add thermostats to older (2020) bikes so they run better. Why are we going in the opposite direction now?

    • @SpeedDemonExpress
      @SpeedDemonExpress 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Because people can't leave things alone. People have been doing this with cars for decades, losing power, and sometimes it screws the engine up because the parts never expand to operating temp/size and start to wear aggressively.

    wouldn't that make the programing by the ecu to change? if it's running cooler that it supposed to it may change fuel and timing?

    • @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX
      @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, it will change it, I believe for the better due to thermo not being there, it will allow the temperature to rise equally and not all of the sudden when the thermo opens at 131 deg.
      Once it’s wide open anyway, the thermo is not in play anymore anyway.
      The issue is that line in the sand where the fueling table is relying on the water temperature to richen up the circuit.
      These are prone to cracking and sticking shut, and I believe will give a more balanced reading in favor of a better running engine.
      I will just let it warm up real good before going wide open.
      I have been studying these for the last 9 months and feel strongly about this change.
      We will see!

      The ECU will adjust mapping as needed. If you delete the thermostat then the bike may not operate (conditions permitting) at operating temperature when it should be. The ECU will adjust for this but performance may degrade and engine longevity may as well. Don’t delete it, someone needs to come up with this same mod but include a thermostat. There is a reason KTM put a thermostat on the bike and there is a reason that older bikes had a mod the added a thermostat. Just my opinion

    I wonder if this mod would help with my 23 250xc issue. 2.5 hours run time, fouled 2 plugs before I could get back to double track. The bike is still miles deep in the forrest hiding under branches until I can hike back with more plugs to ride it out. Hopefully a bear doesn't make it his chew toy.

      It also could be the way your warming it up these ktms have a certain way they need to be warmed up and there are videos on how to do it I would recomend trying it.

      @@tyler_knight38 Could be, I rolled it outside from my heated cabin (9,000ft) the other morning. Started it with the high idle knob pushed in, 1-2 min I started riding through the park at less than 20mph, 2-3rd gear. The single-track was about 10 min away, on the way the bike felt "muddy" down low, lots of sputtering but it had always felt this way, just not as bad.
      Anyway, about an hour into difficult terrain I used full throttle at med rpm, lost rpm on during a steep climb much quicker than anticipated, backfired loudly with flame, bogged even with the clutch in then died.
      Quickly realized I couldn't push it back.. Careful mixed 60:1, stock plug br8es, my 22 te150i felt crisp in comparison since the 1st ride

    Hey man i got a question. I wanne buy a sx 125 2023 but i heard theres a lot of problema with it. And i dont know the difference between a tbi and a efi can you explain? And is it worth to buy 1 now without having issues?

    • @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX
      @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX  ปีที่แล้ว

      The TBI is basically EFI, the TBI part is just the method of how the fuel is delivered..through Throttle Body Injection.

    Do we remove the temperature sensor completely? Unplug and remove?

    • @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX
      @themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, this is the thermo stat in the frame tube. The sensor and coupling stay intact, I just moved it out of the way for the install.
