Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun brewing and I did a short for Ashling the Pilgrim and finding ways to put counters on in red 😅 that’s what helped make this one.

It’s surprisingly consistent, you just lean really hard on the green to enable the rest of the deck.

When Joe suggested this it made me realize I need to be playing slaughter the strong much more 😅 such a great budget card especially in todays commander games

Definitely an option! I was looking at things like torpor orb but I thought you would have to structure your deck around no ETBs to make it work and effects like it. 😁 thank you for commenting

WOTC have tried to move away from that towards words like kindred and typal to just saying it’s a dragon deck or elf deck etc. out of respect for native Americans. Plus it costs us nothing to respect that so that’s the wording we use. 😁 Thank you for commenting

That’s why you have all kinds of ways to remove the counters so you can continue to use the effects over and over again 😁

True, I really should revisit the deck. I love Garna too and thought she should have much more love than she gets. These are all great additions and since I built the deck I’m sure they’ve all gone down so they should be included. Having other combos outside of Garna is a fantastic suggestion 😁 thank you for the suggestions and comments

Your going off on turn 6, turn 5 just before you start your turn 6 your going to cast ad Nauseum and get the combo together then go off on turn 6 😁

While not ideal, the deck can recoup can still finish strong it just depends on what the rest of the group is playing. If you build the deck and find the CMC is to high and Malcolm is constantly getting removed cut some of the bigger spells for more blink or counter spells solely for protection. That way Malcolm becomes hard to remove. But if that’s still not enough I would lean heavier on the clone aspect and just copy what other people are playing that way you only seem like a threat if someone else is already ahead in that way. Pulls the target off your back. Hope this helps and thank you for commenting 😁

Currently no but that’s not to say they will release more things in the future and at I really hope to update the decks as new things that can help them come out. 😁

Yes! That was one of my first thoughts since it shares 2 colors with Nekusar but I still think it’s unique enough not to mention that it has Ward and is cheaper than Nekusar 😅

I still am! I just haven’t been mentioning it in the videos because I’ve been pushing to get these Duskmourn commanders done. I already have some requests but I’d be happy to throw any commander in the Que to get them out at some point! I’m always eager to listen to the viewer 😁

I might try and toss a suggestion or two your way then, wouldn't want to give you too much workload and it's only fair that like 1 person only requests about 1 commander or something unless nobody else is requesting. i've always thought it's a interesting idea to have a little more of an expensive commander to splurge a bit on and then build the rest of the deck super cheaply around them, definitely less than 10 dollars still but - Izzet has this problem of where it's blue (lots of expensive but fun cards there) and red (lot of big sorceries that are expensive there). so you see people building lots of really expensive izzet commander decks, especially where there's a value ability. Would you maybe have a take on [Neera,Wild mage] for example? already a sorta difficult commander to build, I'm super lost on how to go about it. Neera seems super fun to me, you never know exactly what you'll get and it can be pretty similar to a cascade based commander, so you can go any number of ways with it. Maybe you'll have some cool ideas for it? Ill keep the bell on and my eyes glued to your channel! Hope everything goes well for you Gemini!

I'm a newer player and my friends elf deck you made is incredibly synergistic. I'm really excited. If If you had to choose another deck or two for me to try of yours, what would you recommend?! I have an aggro aragorn pre-con that I've upgraded and Eowyn, which makes tokens so looking for some different mechanics I can learn that aren't too annoying to resolve and play.

That was one of the things I had to get away from as well. So you’ve already taken a good first step. Personally I try to piece out the deck with what I want it to do or what I already know synergizes with the deck. Then I move to cuts where I try to cut away any card over $1 then I move to replacements which is where I find most budget options as well as long lost cards. I do this by googling similar card to what I cut or by effects I’m looking for. Sometimes it takes a lot of combing through but that’s how you find gems sometimes 😅 thank you for commenting 😁

The cards that really give you the most damage and what I consider to be the “Game Enders” Angraths Marauders + any damage dealer, Unquenchable Fury can deal big damage as well as Viseling. Unfortunately the deck has no huge 1 card finishers but Dragon Mage plus any draw damage or discard damage card is gonna go really far. Your mostly looking to punish other decks card draw as well as the card draw you give them. I hope that helps 😁

Is there a reason you are opting for more creature mana dorks rather than sorcery? I find often a boardwipe sets you back alot, and the price is probably similar for three visits/rampang growth. They are boring tho

Rampant growth probably would have been a better include as it’s one of the only budget ramp cards. Also as a brewer I find I’m including it in a lot of decks and just wanted a chance to break the mold a little. Sure it’s more susceptible to board wipes but that’s what the recursion is for. But like I always say tune the deck to your meta and liking this is just meant to be a starting point 😁

It’s why I wanted to share my brews, budget is something I’m very aware of and I was tired of most budget brewers making the entry 50 - 100$ for a deck. Thank you for commenting
