I really appreciate you putting in the cards you would cut in the video. 99% of MTG deck builder's on youtube never do that but recommend upgrades and its hard for trying to get all the cards you want at once. Awesome deck! Thanks for the cool tech!
It was suggested to me and ever since I’ve tried my best to include where to start. After a few reps with the decks though I feel most people should have a better understanding and adapt things to their own metas 😁 thank you so much for commenting
This is a great format for deck techs. I have been piling wizard cards for months for my first commander deck but haven’t settled on a list, this is a big help.
This channel is so underrated i cant believe you dont have more subscribers. Love your budget brews and the editing is on point. Have you thought about making a budget Rowan, Scion of War deck? Her effect seems so broken i have been trying myself to fit her into a "under 25£" list. Again, amazing content keep it up!
I’ve definitely had an eye on her since Rakdos is one of my favorite color pairings and her effect is like an even more broken Rakdos, Lord of Riots. I’d love to work up a brew 😁 also thank you so much for the compliment it’s comments like these that keep me going.
This is a very efficiently made deck for how cheap it is. While you would lose some combo potential, have you considered using wizard-tribal commanders work, like Naban or Naru Meha?
I thought about including them but I couldn’t really find a spot where they meshed in well, plus I figured it would be better to steer into more of a combo deck than wizards. However I could see that being a fun alternative 😁 thank you for commenting
I would love to do that but unfortunately that would add a lot of time to my turn around with videos currently, one day I will definitely start including it though once I settle back into a normal upload routine 😁 thank you for commenting
I'm pretty new to magic, and when I first saw Azami I thought she sucked but I was dead wrong lol. I am a bit confused by the combo section at the end, are you able to explain why it works?
So by “blinking” Archeomancer and Peregrine Drake you are able to get the untap 5 lands from the drakes effect then with Archeomancer’s effect you return the spell you used to blink both of them. You cast it again and do the same thing until you feel like stopping then you can either blink something else or return a different spell. The Scholar Combo uses a singular blink spell to return the spell you use to blink and an extra turn spell to cast the extra turn spell, pass the turn to yourself, blink and do it again. This combo does require you to have quite a bit of mana I believe at minimum 7 or 8 but you can essentially take infinite turns. If there’s anything else I can help with let me know, I hope that explains it a little better 😅 thank you for commenting
A guy at my LGS built Azami and did not realize that he could just win the game with triskadekaphile. He went to just draw a bunch of cards on the end phase before his turn until it was mentioned he could just draw specifically to 13.
Exactly it’s sometimes an easy thing to miss if your just focused on drawing cards 😂 some people just go in with blinders and can’t see the win right in front of them. That was nice of you to mention it to him and hopefully he remembers in the future. Thank you so much for commenting 😁
With no upgrades it’s probably a 6 or 7. There’s a reason it used to be a cEDH deck and this deck consistently gets what it needs to answer situations or go for the win. With just a couple upgrades, some that recently got reprinted so they are cheaper, it could easily be a 7 or even an 8.
Old school precons I think it would be too powerful (like early precons maybe up until 2018) but new precons I think it should be pretty on par with what’s out there. 😁 thank you for commenting
Thank you for such a nice guide. The only card that would be problematic is maybe the 1 card combo that wins the Game with 13 cards, what do you think? Most of my friends precons are modified btw@@TypicalGeminiMTG
Then I think it would be appropriate to play it against them. I would still keep the wincon though, just as way to end games sometimes but if it becomes to problematic then cut it. 😁
Just as a quick note, in the video you mention that Azami’s ability will work on wizards that have summoning sickness. This is correct, however, the reason you gave for this is that “it is from an ability of Azami, not from the creature that entered”. This implies that you can’t use Azami’s ability on herself the turn she comes out, but you actually can. The reason that you can use it on other creatures is not because the ability comes from a different creature, but because the ability doesn’t have a tap/untap symbol in the cost. Seems so pedantic but just wanted to point it out in case another viewer was potentially confused and misses that free card from their first table rotation having Azami out ;)
That is an unfortunate side effect but I think it’s just from playing blue with so much card draw. Thank you for the clarification, it’s important to be able to get that draw off of her after she enters. Also I didn’t know it was a tap symbol that would change it so that’s interesting to me 😁 thank you for commenting

No problem, that’s what it’s there for 😁
The edit is neat, the humor is great and the ideas are cool
Thank you 😊

Nice deck tech! Azami is the 3rd deck I built, definitely rebuilding her. Echoing the other comment, very underrated channel! Keep up the good work.
Such a great commander and with the recent art from commander masters it’s even better! She was a lot of fun to pilot 😁
I would love to see a budget take on an Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter mono green artifact
I’ll look into it! I was actually eyeing her not to long ago so this is perfect 👍

Naru Meha goes infinite with Ghostly Flicker
Thank you for another great deck! Ordering this one for sure!
Thank you so much! This one did become a personal favorite over the course of building it 😁
Lithoform Engine is a good upgrade since it too combos with Dramatic Reversal, infinitely if you have enough Mana rocks.
Ooooo definitely a great inclusion and I didn’t realize how cheap it is. Thank you for commenting 😁
You should do spelltable playthroughs with the decks!
I would love to do that but unfortunately that would add a lot of time to my turn around with videos currently, one day I will definitely start including it though once I settle back into a normal upload routine 😁 thank you for commenting
I cant wait to play this deck
It is a ton of fun! Card draw and smacking people with huge wizards is awesome 😎

Very cool vídeo. Tks
Thank you!
Great video! Do Fblthp, The Lost :)
I’ll take a look 👁️
What power level would you give to this deck? I’m planning on brewing this

Would this be suitsble to play against precon decks or is too powerful?
Old school precons I think it would be too powerful (like early precons maybe up until 2018) but new precons I think it should be pretty on par with what’s out there. 😁 thank you for commenting

Wizard gang
We love casting spells! 😂
Absolutely love Azami, she’s one of my favorite cards in the game. Too bad playing her will make everyone hate you haha

Deck is already over 100 dollars now
Where are you buying it from? I do know that prices can vary wildly depending on where you buy from but that still seems excessive 😅
@TypicalGeminiMTG I went to the decklist and checked tcg player and card kingdom and it looks like prices sky rocketed
Thanks for the shout out. Now I must buy the decklist.
It was a fun deck to brew I hope you enjoy it as well 😁
