Spring is exhilarating. Summer goes by quickly and far too soon becomes a reminder of the colder months to come. Yet, winter is special once it sets in because it is so peaceful. Winter is also beautiful with the contrast of snow, the color in the woods, and the promise of spring still to come. I also relish the very warm days in summer so long as the humidity isn't through the roof. But spring takes the cake as the most satisfying of all seasons.

Omg Nigel 😂 Love these Series of part 1, part 2, hope you keep carrying on with Season 3 after weekend, make for good binge watching 😂. I was sat here, with the Reduced candles I was gonna buy on Wednesday but I put them back coz of your video 😂 I decided its Friday two big candles for £1.25 😂. This video was great, I felt like January was Summer instantly, and started thinking oh no, I've no Summery shoes, and how can I carry on my Winter Gothic velvet in Summer 😂. Feel like I've been zoomed through 2025 in one video, was good because now I can think, wow what do I want from the next 3 Seasons? Came home at 5.15pm the light had just gone, but the Birds, maybe crows, magpie, blackbirds was singing, Oh joy in my heart! And brought the Bins in 😂. I can feel 2025 is gonna be a great year for me! ❤ I hope you and Molly have the best time ever the next 3 seasons ahead ❤❤❤

Autumn …I Try to like it but can’t…it’s the feeling of going down into the dark dreary winter.

Sorry to say our crisp mornings are -12C! Right now! 😂 I think of Spring to come! Long way off! Yes wrapped up in scarves, mitts, hats, boots, heavy coats, to ward off the cold! And snow 2 feet deep! Welcome to Canada's 🧥🧦🧤🧣 weather! 🎉 spring, summer, fall! I love 4 seasons! Bless your mother! May she enjoy more springs and summers to come! ✌️❤️

It’s not hard to understand why our ancestors worshipped the sun and moon, they knew that if the sun didn’t come up every morning they couldn’t survive. Mother Earth is truly remarkable and I quite agree that we don’t appreciate it enough and take it for granted xx

Here in Ireland we have a brand of crisps called "Tayto" and Irish people love Tayto crisps on white bread and butter....cheese and onion is the most preferred flavour. I can't eat them as i need GF crisps but they're crap. Peanut butter and banana for me or GF fish fingers and bread and butter 🙂

Nigel, I’ve just seen this and I used to hear skylarks on Reigate Heath but tragically, I believe (from what I was told by a gardener there), the bushes and shrubs where the skylights nest have been cut back “to improve the golfer’s view” so for the last two years….NO skylarks to see or hear there. Heartbreaking. You are so lucky also to hear a loud dawn chorus..here in Dorking Surrey, it’s getting softer and softer each year . Very heart breaking. People, many people don’t value these wonderful messages and miracles from nature. Thank you again Nigel…I don’t know where I will go this year to hear these lovely creatures.

Every season has its own magic. The dance of nature

Not everyone gets seasonal affective disorder. But after managing a shop for a decade and seeing the same customers in all different seasons I believe 3 out of 4 people are sadder in the winter and many even when it’s just cloudy. I’m lucky, I was allowed outside to play in all weather so I have many wonderful memories of freezing gray days and torrential rains.

Such a amazingly beautiful place to be. Thanks for the talk and the scenery.

Thanks again Nigel. I miss so much the seasons. In Florida now and i wish so much to live the winter, spring, summer and autumn again. Listening to you, my roots are calling me back home. My heart is in England. Look forward to part 2. Love to you and hugs for Molly.

Best sandwich of all is hot buttered toast and sliced banana. When I was younger we had hot fried onion sandwiches which were delicious. Rather than fish finger butties we had fishcake ones, slightly mashed onto the bread and plenty of vinegar. We didn't have sugar butties but I do remember having a stick of raw rhubarb and having a little bag of sugar to dip it in.

Spring is my favorite season. I like to watch my plants and Apple trees wake up. Toward the end of February, we start to have the first occasional warmer day, and the Red Winged Blackbirds show up at our feeders. In the evening, right before the sun sets, about 200 will fly down and cover our yard, feeding on the seeds blown out of the feeders, and there is furious activity for ten minutes. Then, as one, they ascend into the large Fir tree for the night. That sound of their call is my signal that spring is here, even if we still have a month to go on the Calendar.

I'm spring-phobic!

I try and buy from farm shops or for dried goods buywholefoods online.They do organic stuff.
