Hi, On the Dicom tag : (0018, 115E ) it stores the DAP value eg 1.149 with no units. It is known that DAP is expressed in Gy.cm2 but under dicom standards its given as dGy.cm2. I know they just differ by prefix and contextually they the same. How would I know what units my DAP value actually is ? My X ray was captured with a Siemens machine, and the image was complemented with a Dicom info. Since it follows Dicom standards can I assume it'll use dGy.cm2 as its units or could there be an exception to this ? Basically I'm asking if a system is following dicom protocols then they must have the the same units stipulated by Dicom standards or can they differ i.e instead of dGy.cm2, they present the value stored in this tag in Gy.cm2 ? Yet another layer of people sucking money through "healthcare" . Guess who ends up paying for all this? Sick people. It all ends up on their bill in the end, though all cleverly disguised as a "service" they are doing for everyone. This is the most effed up health system in the world.

When we consider epic systems and beyond… the needs of rights of individuals and groups. And… community connections… interoperability and translational medicine and infrastructures… flows through better understandings of historical contexts of work and what led to that work and what those time blocks created and influenced. It’s true in Florida and every geography. The work translation medicine and interoperability… eco systems. Infrasturcre larger eco systems overlays… over the varieties od 16 sectors and actual sectors and layers of confluence. The time and space to work through and better with learning and growing historical contexts rather than denying reality…. It is also feedback loops of better systems which organizations use as part of internal process and stake holder economics. Rights matter… a lot… it’s not easy. And the agency work and the work of locks and local And larger contexts of counties, cities, states, federal and state departments. It helps sans over control impulses. It’s hard to believe… but it’s workable.

I am kinda scared because radiation is dangerous... but if they are doing x rays then this should be okay.... right?

Loved the video! I started as a front desk patient registration rep. Then, after a few year's I became a MRI Tech assistant. Did that for 5 years. Learn a whole lot. Then a opening became available in my IS department. Spent 3 years there and now I'm a PACS Administrator. Starting my jouto get my CIIP cert.

I’m a Medical technologist and I wish EPIC would add an API for those of us that like logic and would like implement code to automate certain mindless tasks (will never happen). Also, I’m not happy with recent updates making EPIC visually noisier and navigation requiring more mouse clicks, I miss hotkeys, I miss tabbing 😒

Can you further explain this part in a timeline “Choose a date when you would complete your training Recommended timeline is 6 months Choose a date to become certified if you’re eligible Recommended timeline is 6 months” Is it you train for 6 months then directly after take your certification exam? Or is, do 6 months of training then do 6 months of studying for certification exam? Just would like a better explanation.

As a PACS system operator, I often struggle with clinical questions by doctors when some DICOM parameter of values found in doubt and face hardship to scrutinize them correct or not since I don't have enough clinical knowledge even working in this industry almost 10 years.
