I'd say it's WAY hard to land an EPIC role than back in 2012. I've been trying to get into EPIC Beaker for 9 months now and can't even get an interview. It sucks!
Just keep eyes open for application analyst positions. After working with different EHR systems, you realize they're not that amazing. They're just gatekeeping to falsely inflate their costs, and maintain demand.

What roles should we apply in epic for an entry level person to get certification. I personally graduated masters in health informatics. Please give some suggestions

A degree isn't necessary to join the epic team. There's a lot of luck involved if you want a hospital or medical organization to sponsor your certification. You can try to apply directly for Epic in Wisconsin.
Hi Rose. According to Vince, only Epic Healthcare can provide training for the EHR software. You'll need to be sponsored by a healthcare organization, a consulting firm or be hired directly by Epic. There's no other school that can offer certification.

A certification means nothing unless you have gone through a go live and most require 2 from start to end. Even then, the interview process is brutal - people with 10 years FTE experience will be turned down. Good consultants can spot wannabees a mile away and we all know each other. We have a hard stop for anybody who is not a top performer.
