I’ve been a Beaker AP Analyst for the past years. Absolutely loving it.
I love this video. Great info for anyone interested in epic EHR certification.
I work in healthcare and been trying to get into the epic analyst role. This video gave a road map on how to get epic certified. My job has a few positions but I haven't heard anything. My option might be to apply to epic directly.
I’m trying to figure out what types of certs and which one. Like to evaluate a job
I am certified in Epic PB I just need build experience 😢
I work in the healthcare industry and trying to get an epic analyst position seems impossible.
Have you found something by far or still struggling to secure an epic analyst role?
From what we've seen it definitely has been hard to attain. Have you tried applying for Epic in Wisconsin directly? The analyst role is more difficult bc you'd need a hospital to sponsor you.. and hospitals only sponsor large groups if they're making a switch.
Hey sis-
I've been working as an Biomedical Device Integration for the last 3 years on various epic/ capsule-Ascensio project in Milwaukee & Appleton Wisconsin....
I got connected through a medical staffing service provider...
I would refine your job searching titles, with keywords in Epic, Ascension, Capsule Bridges, Rhapsody -
Also take courses that provide training and certification in Rhapsody & Capsule, these could cost in the thousands, you could also look into udemya and courses for inexpensive courses in Healthcare Informatics, Healthcare Data Science, etc
9:09 Spell check .. Thier to their
Caught slacking 😬
How does one become an EHR Analyst?
A majority of EHR companies hire new grads with health science majors or professionals in the health care industry. For Epic specifically.. to be frank.. great luck, being in the right place and time and persistence!
In SCAL, our hospital hired a bunch of folks, who already had experience in the front reception desk for radiology schedulers. They are working in long term support, for EPIC. During go lives at numerous satellite offices, they are there helping the staff, with scheduling, changing patients from rooms, placing ancillary orders. They were helped with job placement from our HR, once they started downsizing due to changing from GE RIS, to radiant. So a lot got hired because they were already familiar with radiology scheduling.
Epic is destroying the PACS industry with their subpar Cupid solution. Pacs admins are losing their jobs because of it.
@Joseph fake account. Epic sucks.
In the implementations we've seen, Epic hasn't been able to replace any PACS. Whether radiology or cardiology. However, we've seen these implementations completely change existing PACS workflows. Interested to know how you've been impacted.
This is not an accurate statement. We have McKesson PACS, integrated with CUPID for scheduling and having the cardiologist read the echo studies. The only thing that really changed was the reporting that was done on McKesson PACS, is now done on CUPID. As a PACS admin I still manage users, take care of interface issues, fix wrong patient studies…. I’d have to talk to an echo tech to really gauge the perception, but with all new things, there is a learning curve.
