Here I make videos with and about my Mini Moto the Kymco Spade 150.
I also post First Ride videos where I review and ride motorcycles that I have little to no experience with. This way you can see my first and honest thoughts.
I do not focus on motorcycle specs because I’ve learned that just because it looks good on paper doesn’t mean it’s a good motorcycle.

Shift up into 6th, it's OD. I get 40+ mpg on my bike. Got 58 for dragon and Cherohola skyway
You unfortunately i was in a group of people during a Kawasaki demo ride and we never got going fast enough for me to shift into 6th.
Excellent video! Which seat would you put on the Indian Scout Classic to make it more comfortable?
I’m not sure. That day was my first time ever riding an Indian. I am not familiar with their upgrades
If you to release the clutch in first gear, will the Z900RS move without to use the accelerator (Low rpm assist)?
Good question. Unfortunately this was just a test ride so I no longer have access to this bike.
@@MidgetMoto thanks a lot
I bought a 2020 leftover during covid for 7,899. ECU flash was a must for me the difference is night and day.
Good to know!
The cafe version’s handlebars are too bent inwards. Other than that it’s awesome
I agree!
I love my kymco spade bought it in 2020 to learn how to Ride and never gave it up she's All I need big love from Texas
Houston here! The Spade is great. I’ve never thought about selling it.
2025!!!!!
Crazy I was able to time travel to 2025 and back!
I looks better than it rides in the twisties 😅✌️
I believe it!
Don't blame the bike for your lack of skill
👀👀👀
Lol...these bikes are fantastic in the twisties..maybe do some track days to hone your skills
I have owned this motorcycle for a month now and have covered four thousand kilometers with it. The best segment on this bike is precisely the comfort, so I would disagree with the review. The engine is generally very good, it has some weak points, but lightning comfort is by far the strongest feature. I drove it for 12 hours in one day.
Good to know!
Thank you for your tips. They were helpful when changing the oil. Could you make a video on cleaning the air filter?
Haven’t done it yet. I can take a look
👍👍👍👍
It's easier to narrow down first what kind of bike you're in for like is it modern classic or retro style and not just base on the number of cc for the engine's output also depends on it's configuration and application.
Good Point!
I like it, 😃too bad Honda don`t build them anymore. Cheers!!!
Thanks!
The quickshifter takes a little while to get used to when to change. Under load with the right revs it is fantastic.
Good to know
saw one of them in the wild today it is still a bad looking bike as it always has been. why would someone want one of these trash bikesa?
Good question!
I really regret selling mine. It was a beautiful bike, I had many people coming up to me and saying how great the bike looked. I have to go back and watch my videos on that bike. 😢😢
I do love the looks.
Personally- I would want my bike to be exciting, even if it were a cruiser style.
Good Point!
Have you ever heard of this bike before?
Good vid
Thanks!
I'm looking at this bike or the 1000r I think it will be the 1000r it's a lot more money I'm just trying to figure it out.. what would your thoughts be ? There both very nice..
I am not familiar with the 1000r unfortunately. I enjoyed this bike more than I expected and wouldn’t mind owning it.
The redline at 7 was due to the bike was not fully wormed up yet after it warms up the red line moves to nine. That’s a bmw thing
Good to know!
We have the option of manual bikes in Europe still. The brakes are not linked.
Linked Brakes = 2 Channel ABS hondanews.com/en-US/powersports/releases/release-907c81858bdfe231c1cc3d0f700d796c-2023-honda-nc750x-specifications www.tvsmotor.com/media/blog/how-does-dual-channel-abs-work-in-bikes
@@MidgetMoto 2 Chanel ABS is not linked braking. Totally different.
Your skill level is a zero.
Thanks for the feedback!
Great video though.
5k , ... Or honda rebel same price?
I just bought a navi , $2030 out the door 5'9" 260 lbs Took me to 50mph
Love it! I need to ride the Navi
Good point!!
Brother , been riding hondas since 78, My Navi is my 7th bike brother I did my research, and there are so many inexpensive upgrades, I'm 5'9" 260 lbs, popped me right up to 50 mph no problen , still breaking in engine so didn't rap her out. My friend this is a fun mini moto worthy of your attention. I look forward to seeing your vids. Subbed
I had the same thing happen to me. After I pulled into a safe area, I checked TH-cam and found out the same problem. Was very glad it wasn't a serious problem.
I spent over an hour in 100+ degree heat wait for my wife to bring my truck lol
I think it was a 2001 Fatboy I bought new that year. It had all the gauges on gas tank also. It was a 2001-2004 not sure of the exact year as it was a while back. I put 12,000 miles on it in one year and rode it to trailer week in Daytona "LOL" from north Georgia and back and no issues having to look at tank for gauges but you do have to glance down very quick using peripheral vision so not to take eyes off road for too long.
Definitely not my favorite!
I love my 2015 custom! Sooooo nice!! Looks like they haven’t changed much as far as look and style. Cuz they didn’t need too. I have the Vance n Hines pipes and it rumbles. I also added larger floorboards. Other than that, I listen to the engine and shift by sound. It’s a great bike!!
I enjoyed the ride!
Where did you purchase it from?
I did not buy it. I borrowed it from another person who bought it on Facebook marketplace. There are several for sale last time I checked.
2:30 Chinese bike company can't survive in Indian market, because of bad reputation+ this bike is very under power for a 200cc , even the cheapest 200 cc in India has 19.5 bhp and this only have 17 BHP and we have many better options than this
Good to know! What do you ride?
I got this nealry two months ago. I ride it to work almost every day the weather permits me to. Its my first motorcycle and it certainly has enough going for it to keep me entertained. Like you said, going "fast" for this bike is just fun. My number one issue was those mirrors, replaced them with some nice angular ones, then I replaced the exhaust with the M4 slip on. Also installed a windscreen from T-rex racing. All were nice quality of life changes that gave the bike more character.
Love to hear it! Would love to ride this one again.
How did you like the power?
It was fine. Kinda gritty. Not gonna blow you away but plenty there.
@@MidgetMoto thanks. Have you had a go on the updated 2024 triumph 900s?
@@fearhand12 unfortunately not yet
The bike is a pleasure to drive with a gear indicator.
Turn that blinker off grandpa! Lol. The classic and customs ride a little different just because of the foot placement. Changes your whole posture on the bike. The vibration takes a minute to get used to. I was mostly riding mx bikes when I bought mine, so I didn't notice until I started watching videos and someone told me too. 🤔 I will ring a bike out in a gear until the foreword progress isn't progressing anymore, to get the feel of the bike, and that 900 will pull to 50ish mph in 2nd gear. I do this on my bikes a couple times to find out, not on any bike. 😉 😎 I do 75+ mph daily to work and back. You just have to get used to realizing that you're not hurting the engine at all at 4k rpm's
Good thing to know!
How about we go back and put it in SPORT!
Not worth it! Too much for too little. The Classic was much better and cheaper.
I hate it when BIG PPL complain about a GROM. Get a bigger bike, simple
Would be like a midget complaining that the R 1250 GS Adventure is too big and heavy🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
You obviously don’t know what motorcycle I own. It’s actually a little smaller than the grom and I have no complaints on comfort
@@MidgetMoto Who cares I made my statement
@@slamboy66 lol
@@MidgetMoto Sorry for being a brat
Brakes are separate.
Unfortunately that’s not true. I linked several articles for someone else on this subject that explains it.
I've got one. They're not linked. End of
Lol. You’re not disagreeing with me. You’re disagreeing with Honda
Suspension can always be fixed after market, just ask any Harley owner. I'm on my 3rd however this bike is like 6k not 20k. So that's not really a deal breaker for the price. I'm 60 something now and I'm really considering this bike as my next one. I'm tired of big heavy bikes. I can do all the riding that I do on this bike just fine.
Good thinking!
Hey - this is a fully loaded light sport cruiser! Every option is there for that kind of riding. If you want a passenger seat, Indian has several options. They aren't upgrades, they're alternatives.
Good point!
The Indian Scout 101 makes me think, "Motorcycle Riding 101: In this course we use the Indian Scout to demonstrate a well-done cruiser/sport hybrid design..."
I actually really like your tiny setup. I would just add a small telescoping fishing rod with a mini lure box with a few lures, weights, hooks. Also there are collapsible water bottles by a brand called vapur that hold 1 liter but the collapse to fit in the palm of your hand so you can have that when your at camp or if your thirsty in the middle of the night and don’t want to walk over to whatever body of water is closest with your life straw. Good video. 😊
Thanks! I’m not much of a fisherman and wouldn’t know how to use the gear. That’s why it’s not there.
I recently got a 2010 Ebony Special Edition of this bike. I like it a lot, but it does need a 6th gear, so I bought the 'Barons' slightly larger engine pulley (a couple more teeth) and rear wheel pulley (a few less teeth) to alter the gearing. I'll live with the original setup for the summer, then get them installed. They reckon it should make about a 12% difference.
Nice!
I'm a female 5'6 and had it lowered by about an inch. With my motorbike boots I can flat foot it so it's perfect. This bike is small for someone your height and size.
I agree! Glad you like it!
25 seconds in he says he thinks this is on the lower end of the models. It is literally at the top end of the Scout models! 😂 This guy doesn’t do any research on what bike he is reviewing or he is trolling to get comments. If it is the latter, it worked.
You’ll never know! Definitely felt lower end!
I'm about 5'9 maybe 5'10, 160-170 lbs and love mine. I couldn't see anyone 6'4 on this bike though. I flat foot the thing easily. It's extremely comfortable for me but with my leo vince exhaust its maybe 70hp. If I didn't want the retro look i'd probably go for the gsx-8s. More power, 270 crank, and a little bigger.
good points. Im 5"6 and short legs still manage to put feet to floor (not flat) but safe enough. Its the retro look you want if you buy
underpowered. needs 20hp more... cb650 has the same price and definitely a step ahead overall.
Haven’t been able to ride the CB yet but I was not that impressed with the power either.
So did you buy the CB. I sat on it and its digital readout. It spreads my thighs and the seat is so hard after two hours I would have to walk home
@@ben9l351 nah, mate, i am in a long process of choosing and deciding. your feedback is very valuable!
I wanted to like this bike, just because of the clever, practical design, like inside storage, engine slanted low to the ground for better mass distribution. But bike that is not fun doesn't suit my case.
I thought this bike would be the perfect motorcycle. 750cc Comfortable No shifting Tons of storage Made by Honda All of my dreams were killed the moment I got on. I’ve ridden many Hondas and this did not feel like one.
Bought mine back in November and I absolutely love it. It's my fifth bike. It a perfect urban cruiser but can still hit the backroads really well. The two problems I have are 1) The stock mirrors are absolute shit. The field of vision and viewing surface is way too small. Replaced those the first week. 2) the pillion seat is an upholstered brick. Still looking for a good replacement that isn't one of those suction cup monstrosities.
I think they did a pretty good job. I enjoyed it a lot
I had a test ride at the weekend, and the quickshifter was buttery smooth. It was a great bike , very happy to purchase. I could have rode it all day , very comfortable
Glad you liked it!
Stock form my only complaint is the handlebars being too low and the gearing but I do have a bigger front pulley coming because I ride mostly highway and I purchased some 2 inch handlebar risers and man those risers alone made it waaay more comfortable but I am a short guy only 5'8"! She loves to be laid down in corners though...dragging pegs!!!
Glad you’re liking it!
