Everyone has a special place where we feel comfortable. Getting up and spend time just being quiet. We need to spend time alone to get our energy flowing. Getting ready for Christmas is fun but not in 4 feet of snow! We always have fun on Christmas. We have a nice fireplace and Nancy makes the Smoking Bishop. She is my Best Friend as well. Christmas is a best time just doing nothing . Merry Christmas Rahel.

That run back to your phone made me laugh :D I also "prefer to capture moments with my mind only", but I'm fascinated to see other people snapshot of experience by looking at videos, and even more fascinating, old pictures. Also, capturing precious moments makes it possible to share them, somewhat. Thanks for the thoughts.

I really related to the concept of deep belonging coupled with feeling lost. I've tried to have this discussion with some people along my own way and many people don't get it. Good for you for having a process of awareness that allows you to move through, when you're feeling that way. I often remind myself that feeling stuck is that - a feeling, and as you articulate very well it will pass. Thanks for sharing a beautiful peek into how nature supports you a long the way. Such beauty and a wonderful gift to me on this quiet Sunday.

Your voice describes the feelings I had the first time that I climbed the Pico mountain. It was so peaceful and totally quiet. No cars, no airplanes, no voices just some tiny flowers and softly moving butterflies. This is what I have been longing for and will try to once again experience in the coming year. You know how to live a peaceful life.

I normally listen you TH-cam videos while I work, but I saved this one for this morning (a quiet Saturday) where I could fully immerse in the sights and sounds. Thank you for sharing this. It was much needed. 💌

The Holiday Thanksgiving is for everyone. Be thankful for our blessings we have many. Sharing our blessings and prayers for others are a great gift. Nancy bakes a fresh Turkey with chourico and corn meal stuffing. Sweet Potato pies and many others. We invited neighbors who are lonesome and we all have a day worth being thankful for. Life is special if you share it with others.

Pico. where the basalt is rugged and the sea majestic. The volcano standing strong in the ocean currents.

You are so right, the world is chaotic right now. We’re being asked to accept a philosophy that is alien to a large majority of us. It’s baffling and has left this Canadian feeling off balance. What you are so fortunate to have is the ability to be isolated from the nearness of what is happening south of the border from us. What that will look like, we’re about to find out. Thank you for the reminder that I need to isolate surrounded by nature. It is indeed a grounding force that has the amazing ability of putting things into perspective. 🙏

Thank you for the island peace. Though I live only 30 minutes from the water, I hardly go there anymore. I can't imagine what it is like to experience the ocean every day, to connect with the ocean, to forget the troubles and just be one with the ocean.

Life is special. It is hard sometimes, but somehow we manage to stay in the fight. To be right in the line of fire and not relentlessly defend itself. My dad passed away In 2014. He held his great grandson for the first time. Aside from that we need to go out and free ourselves. The Autumn leaves are gone and we expect a long cold winter. It has officially announced itself with six inches of snow. It gets very cold but when you have time to together that is understandable. We laugh and sit near the fireplace and drink a Smoking Bishop. That is the best way to end the day.

I’ve stopped at the Azores, while sailing across the Atlantic. Although I stopped in Horta, I found it lovely and yes, peaceful. Viewing the surrounding islands was wonderful as well.👍🇵🇹. I hope to return and explore much more…
