I chopped a place out a little while back, now everything is dead and the deer beat it down for me, lol. I got six targets to set up at different ranges out to one hundred yards, I'm gonna make my own little field target range. I have to be careful or the deer will walk on my targets and tear 'em all to pieces, I just fixed one the other day.
@@mikesbackyardeh Ewwww! It supposed to get colder here, we had a nice day and I took advantage of it, colder for us right now is in the 50's, snow is probably a month or more away for us.
(I had a reply written out and it decided to delete it when I tried to post so, here we go again, lol) Thanks for the comment man, I appreciate ya. Same here for my hunting gun, I want to know I am gonna hit what I am shooting at, I'll hunt with it out to 75 yards for squirrel without thinking about it. As for pcp's I only have these two and an AT44 which is way too heavy for me. My wood model is a laser, I preordered it when they came out and it has been awesome since day one. It will shoot MOA at 100 yards, not every time but often enough, I've seen it do it many times, nobody believes it. I think hit the barrel lotto on this one, my opinion, not sure if they're all as accurate as mine. My synthetic model has been picky, definitely couldn't hold a candle to the wood model, wouldn't shoot for shit out of the box, it would find a pellet it kind of liked and shoot it ok for a while, then it would switch to another pellet, it's done that like four or five times now. I turned it up a bit more from where I had it and bingo, it now loves the Air Arms pellets as well, I never expected it because this gun seemed to hate them, it looked like a shotgun pattern at 40 yards, I figured I'd try them one more time, I have more of them on hand and they are $3 cheaper than others it likes. Well, it liked them this time and it'll go at 100. I'm going to have to get some groups with them on video at 100, the wind is gusting about 30-40 mph right now, probably not the best time, lol, it's been doing that for a month, we had one nice day and I took advantage of it to make this video.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 I have owned mine for 1 year next week I got it on black Friday last year. At first I couldn't hit anything because shooting a bullpup is not the same as a long gun. After that I got it sighted in at 50 yards because of a permission I have for pigeons and it's done great if I do my part. I shoot an AT4410S QE in 22 which still sees a lot of use, I call it a scalpel and the Flashpup a hammer lol. I have a bunch of videos up shooting pigeons with the Flashpup and it does the job. The other day it was 35 yard high angle shots at sparrows, not the best choice but I only had the Flashpup and it did pretty well.
@@FollowingGhost I'll have to check out your vids, I'm way behind on watching airgun vids, life's been busy. It's rare I hear of anyone that's gotten a bad one, of course, I haven't been in the forums or all over FB and TH-cam into airguns in several months either, so as far as I know their still a well liked gun. They say the next model is a side lever, wonder if it'll be regulated? I like the ability to easily turn it up and down, with a reg it's a lot of work to get that done.
@@slowpokeairgunner4027 if they don't start with more side levers and regulated guns they are going to be left behind. I've only talked to one person who has a problem and it's on a refurb gun. @@FollowingGhost I believe you're right on the side lever and reg, that new Air Venturi Avenger that came out this year is looking really good for a budget gun. I'd like to have one in a bullpup stock, still may get one to heck it out, they say they're a good little gun.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Truth be known this was an absolutely horrible take, lmao! I kid you not, I took 20 freaking shots and could not figure out where I was hitting, I usually line them up at 50 before shooting further, my line up was running some mags at my metal resetting 1" target at 50 yards, when I was smacking it I left it and went to 100. Normally, I would put a paper target up and dial it in at 50 before moving out to 100. I was off and I used up most of 20 shots trying to figure out where each gun was hitting, lol.
Thank you for the comment. It takes a lot of effort for me to get these done, it wouldn't be too bad for a normal person, but man medical issues make everything take a loooooooot longer than you'd want. We had a good warm day, I felt good and I was determined to get it done. I'm still healing up from doing this one, lol. I basically made vids when I feel good and able, I shoot all the time but doing all the setup and fighting with my camera that keeps deleting everything I've recorded, it's a job for me for sure, then I have to heal up for a few days at least. I wouldn't do it if I didn't love it though, I appreciate you watching.
like seeing Air guns period! Not many people in my area of Virginia shooting them and to see that you are not so far away is awesome. Piolt Mountain is about 50 miles from me and would love to encourage you to continue shooting those awesome air rifles. Like you I haven't been shooting air rifles very long , but have picked up a few collection now includes four, Gamo Maxxim Swarm .177, Diana Stormrider Gen 2 regulated .177, Hatsan Flash Qe .177 and now Air Venturi Avenger .22 Love to hear from you .. spider24112
Dude, that's awesome, and I have moved, I'm now a few miles from the Va line in Lowgap, NC, just down the road a few miles form Cumberland Knob and The Appalachian Music Center on the trail if you know where that is. I'm about 10 minutes off the first exit in NC on 77 South. I changed my channel name when we moved in. We're close, maybe we should hook up and do some shooting. I've been into it for a few years, I 've of course had them since I was a kid but decided I wanted one a few years ago and was blown away by what happened to airguns. I think I have an Air Venturi under the tree, lol, not sure but I think so. It was the wrong one, so I think she ordered the .22 instead of the .25 by mistake, and she ordered it in a bundle, not sure but from what I can gather it's something like that. I wish I had some more land, we have a few acres and the hawks keep taking my squirrels. Seriously though, maybe we can get together, I've got autoimmune disorders and distance, etc is what I do, I've lost four family members this year and I don't wanna be the fifth, just sayin'. Still yet, we're probably closer now that I've moved north 30 minutes and it would be great to have someone to shoot with now and then. Trust me it's the same way here, powder burners everywhere, they shoot damn near every day around here, nobody is interested in a little bb gun, lol. I have two .25 cal Fashpups, .25 cal AT44, a couple of co2 pistols, a Bear River .177 break barrel, and very likely an Avenger in the box the size of a gun that came from Solon, OH, and the only gun I have wanted or talked about this year, it just might be it under the tree, lol. Thanks for the comment man, shoot me a message at slowpokeairgunner @ gmail.com. ...a powder burner just went off form the neighbors, deer or coyotes... But yeah, drop me a line and maybe we can get together and shoot some time.
My wood model hs loved them, my synthetic model shot 'em like a shotgun at 40 yards at several different tunes. I set it again and it was loving them at 50, couldn't believe it, lol. As you can see, they don't do too bad at a hundred. I need to shoot for some groups, it's been a while since I have. The wind has been crazy for a month, it's howling again today. We had a warm day with little wind and I took advantage of it. I love shooting out to 100 or further, at least trying anyway, lol.
I may put one in the synthetic model, I'm quite happy with the way y wood model shoots at 100, the group would have been closer if it weren't hitting a piece of rebar. Still yet, for an unregulated gun with pellets at 100 yards, I think it does well, and it's easy to change power with hammer spring adjustments. If I want power I can crank it up, or need less turn it down. It's not that easy to pop a few screws out and change the hammer spring tension, but you can only go so far with the reg and it's a lot of work to get it out to readjust it. Yeah, you can still adjust the hammer spring tension, but it's not gonna go past what the reg is set at. My synthetic model isn't as accurate, it has an anti-bounce system in it, works a little different, and that gun gives me headaches on accuracy. It's tuned and shooting these pellets well enough now, but any tuning changes and they spew out like a shotgun pattern even at 40 yards. It doesn't have as much power as the wood model either. I would like to get it set up with a reg and leave it since it's not as flexible as my wood model.
