did u hear the riot mmo news yesterday

the flying mount bullshit is kinda unacceptable to me, its just way too much to be relegated to the few people who get to be mayor/king/etc. and the only people who will fill those positions will be content creators and people in charge of massive power gaming guilds that will be dominating the nodes. Other than that I think the game seems great and I am excited to see it come along in development.

We in Amnesty had some tangles with Genesis, 'twas goodly fun bois GG :) The random PVP kicking off was super fun, even at this early server testing stage it's engaging as.

Intrepid and Steven promised as little grind as possible. We'll see how that turns out in the end.

I wouldn't mind come, phase 3 to have to pay a small monthly sub fee ($5ish a month per tester) to keep them going $$ wise. Yes, I know it is TESTING, but I'd rather them not end up being forced to be owned by Microsoft or Amazon. Yes, I paid $250 for the honor of starting 2 weeks ago, back in 2020, But $5 per person to help fund the continuation, if it comes down to it, isn't much to ask for. Servers definitely aren't free nor cheap.

Weekend 1 - felt great and refreshing to play a new game with a few bugs here and there. Weekend 2 - just overall felt great, only minor mob desyncing around hills/rocks. Finally found a good solo grind spot for level 9-10 one hour before the servers went down for the week. Frost/lightning mage op killing minotaurs

I think the mob grind is just temporary I'm a raider by nature dungeon diver I'm interested in seeing what they're eventually going to do the node growth to unlock dungeons etc is really intriguing for me

I can not wait til they add the new content and systems. Because the combat has been good. The movements need work and the mount system is rough.

Big props to the combat team. Really holding together the Alpha through it's tribulations. Ton of fun. Plenty of bugs to work out and tweaks that need to get made. High on the list is death penalties should be much less punishing when I'm crashing or disconnecting pretty regularly. Crafting seems solid enough as well, very social. Needs a ton of fixes/improvements to be good though. Like storage constantly bugging out, no guild storage, no freeholds, etc. Definetly needs more than just the grind, but the grind is fun due to the combat. Good to see happy Ryve lol.

Ryve not even level 20 and complaining about grind! Washed turbo casual, might as well stick to 3 hours per day & organized PvP on carebear server! Very disappointing!!! (/s love you Ryve, great vid)

TBH playing every weekend avoids the burn out. My experience this wekend was 80% improvement of the one before.

cant wait to join the grind next week!! We live for the grind.

It appears that the quests need to be revisited closer to launch. More quests and less grind are needed.

There needs to be a particle slider for raids. Cleric and mage AOE spam will blind you.

I haven't had much time to jump in the Alpha yet. I work Friday and Saturdays so that doesn't leave much time, especially after the DDOS attack the first Sunday. Phase 2 is when I'll get to jump in more consistently with Monday being a test day.

If it's constructive criticism it isn't negativity. Negativity is the fools claiming "game is a scam"

My main issue with the game currently is how blurry it is. Hopefully they will let us disable TAA/DLSS, as they are pretty much just blur filters atm.

Dunno how long they can keep the mmo junkies to test the game.

It will definitely feel less grindy when u have option to level if they buff commision,quests,gather and crafting XP gain for example it allows for options to level up so you can break up the manotony of grinding mobs. Commision board quests need to be increase 3 times, and gathering need to be increase by like 5-10 times :P On my server mayor on flying mounts legit just spend there entire time griefing people at POI by training mobs through people from the fly bys or landing on spot u cant get to and trying sneakily long bow people to low hp for mobs to finish them off. Definetly need to be a limit on flying mounts like x distance from their node, however this might be fine as is when the world bigger and there less mayors in small area.

First weekend, 9/10 people i saw were teleporting around and desyncing. The second weekend i saw literally none of that. That fact alone is a pretty big improvement tbh

The game is stupid fun. You have to put in the time though and when you meet your goals it feels sooo damn good. Seriously haven't had this much fun sense BC WoW.

Very solid vid, this looks to be one of the most organized and goal driven guild ive seen on youtube. Just got my alpha 2 key and applied to the guild. Hope to see you all in Verra.

I suspect in the end it will be a the day before game. Where do the videos come from where they fight the dragon or do a dungeon? Guild Wars 2 finished the alpha after 3 years and Ashes of Creations will certainly still be in the alpha in 5 years. I suspect they will delay the release as long as possible. Small teams are much more efficient in development. When WoW was developed in 6 years, the development team was 20-30 people. The rest of the team consisted of quest designers, level designers, artists, sound designers and project managers, who all contributed to the development but were not classic programmers. This number always grows as soon as the alpha is finished; the entire team was 60-70 people at release.

You're the first person to provide constructive criticism that im actually ok with. I wish these other creators put more effort into reasonable delivery. Def sub'd and look forward to your transparent approach. A lot of these other guys are clueless and im tired of casual pushovers. Cheers

Would love to see you live stream ashes this next weekend. You're the person who's opinion I respect the most as of right now.

I don't want them only releasing one continent at launch. It needs to be launched with the entire map done. DEFINITELY NO publisher, it'll destroy their original goal/design pillars. I've also noticed and said multiple times that the game definitely feels like a big reset after Alpha 1. I do wish they'd come out and be transparent about it. But the A2 feels good for an alpha, but does need more content. The quests need to work and events.

Old school pvp mmo player here, I remember dial up Diablo 1 demo in 96. Played EQ pvp servers, UO, Shadowbane ect. Have a 9 bard on Val and looking for a guild. Looks like Genesis guild application is down. Let me know as I really enjoy your vibe. 🎉
