We give away these plans on our website, here is a shortcut: thataduguy.com/free-adu-plans/
This video is part of our Infill Housing Development series. This really is the best way to invest in today's market.
Included in the series are the details of buying an old house on a large lot, then adding small homes or ADUs with raw land development. We also cover all the simple steps we take to remodel the older homes we buy. In this week's video we share our process of raising the main support beam, stick framing, top out plumbing, gas and electrical install basics and roofing prep.

The metal clips joining ply on roof set the gap, not like a gap set on a deck with nail or pencil. No need for gaps on walls or floors thats incorrect, and 100 yr old houses are fine so buckling not a real problem. 1/8" gap on floor sheathing? I've never seen that have you?

Plywood clips automatically leave that space, there’s no code saying to leave a gap, there are only plywood clips you install between the trusses to add strength in those spaces.

The thought behind it is good but in reality…It’s a construction made of flammable materials. This product would be good if you’d have a fireplace against to the outside wall…on the second floor. I can’t see how flames and embers could reach up there? Well…maby it depends on where you live. If you live in a dry area with potential wildfires…?

@@ThatADUGuy a place where everything has to have consessions because of limited space. So you want to fit a kingsize bed ok will fit but you cannot walk around it at all. Want a kitchen, sure but you have to choose all appliances and no storage space or only the essential appliances and a space to put your pots and pans. The size you showed is about the size in which many people live in city appartments. And many countries in europe thats the average size of a house for the working class. But offcourse they do have stairs and not a ladder to go upstairs. Also many countries have rules about what you can call a tiny home. In my country the main rule is total floorspace must be below 500sqf but getting there is also a challange because of other restrictions.
