Stone Fireplace With Wood Mantle - Full Build
มุมมอง 2.5K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
We built this new custom home in central Utah for a client, and finished it up last year. It turned out awesome, but I didn't get much footage of the build. I did get this cool cultured stone fireplace with a custom wood mantle. It's one of the main focal points of the house, and the rest of the house turned out great too! This video contains a home tour at the end also, so stick around and che...

Seeing the light at the end! Best little series on TH-cam. Thanks for taking us along.
The place is really coming together. I vote yes on the black quartz for the fireplace.
Looks Awesome
Just love what you're doing there. Can't wait for the final finish, it's going to look absolutely great.
Good to see you back. I hope you had a good summer. Looking forward to much more!!!
What an amazing Dad! 🎉
I have to admit, I clicked on this video bc there were two Frenchies in the thumbnail. But I loved it all. And you are so correct about the home crisis. It’s unbelievable. I pray to God things change soon. I’m not young, and I’m struggling. I know most everyone is. Anyway…Let’s Pray and think positive and hope things level out again. 🙏🏼🇺🇸 PS. I paused this video and stopped watching, when I realized this was a series. I am now in the process of going back and watching all the parts. I’m on Part 4 now! So glad that Frenchie Thumbnail caught my attention. I am enjoying this Reno a LOT. You do amazing work and your Daughter has got to be so grateful to you and your wife! What a wonderful thing to do for her to help her succeed and be able to save for her future. And hopefully in the next couple of years +, things will level out and make homeownership more affordable for all again! 🙏🏼🇺🇸 Ok, back to Part 4. lol
I think the pups can testify for the comfyness of the foam
It’s so cute how the puppy smelled the court sample when you put it down in front of the fireplace 😂😂❤ They are curious little creatures!
I’m glad you put the extra foam under the floor. (Nice to see you back!) watching from eastern NC.
We’ve missed you!!! Glad you are back!
Looks so good!!been wondering how it was coming along !!! Makes me want new floors!!!❤❤ Merry Christmas
Been waiting for you. Enjoy your work for your daughter. Watch your other jobs. Good jobs with excellent thought proces.
12:19 it looks like you covered up some rat droppings there, mick.
So good to see you back, awesome job on flooring! Happy holidays.
The black looks great for the hearth!
Good to see you back! I really want to see the end product !
The dogs!❤
Glad you’re back.
First time seeing you. Love what you are doing. Subscribed. Can't wait to see more.
I am so glad you are back. I kept checking to see if you had done a new video that I may have missed. The little cottage is coming along nicely. I absolutely love the flooring. The color is beautiful. Your daughter is one lucky girl to have a kind dad like you. She is going to love her new place.
yes, boy I was thinking the same thing. Great job on the flooring and I really like the black tile idea for the fireplace. Keep em coming!
✨🏆✨🎄
Why fill in the stairwell since you are going to build over it? You missed opportunity to turn it into a closet for food storage. Just demo the stairs, and put some shelves, and a new door. That would be a canners dream for cool storage for canned goods.
It makes me sad when the video ends 😭 can’t wait for the next one.
Finally! I kept checking back thinking I missed a notification. Nice work!
Are you going to repoint the stone walls? Are you goin to rechink the log walls too? It seems you are missing some very important steps.
I was thinking his daughter got tired of waiting and moved out.
You lost all the R value from the log walls by not re-chinking them. I am sad you skipped this step.
Wouldn't irt have been easier to re-chink the log walls before building the stairs?
OMG where have you been MIck? I've been searching and checking for updates. Glad to see you are back. Guess I'll jump into the video now.
Glad you're back for more videos and a good job with the flooring. I'm not sure why you decided to stop and then do the laundry room from the other side, you could have just carried on how you were. Would have been easier 👍
Pups are so cute and super helpful! 😂
Love how you let the dogs “help” you😊
I have a Harbor Freight drywall lift, but I don't particularly like it very much. How did you like the Bill Jax drywall lift? Was it user friendly, or was it clunky and junky like mine?
Wow!!! Excellent work. The apartment looks fantastic!!! Lucky daughter. Keep the great content coming.
Welcome Back! Apartment is looking very nice! - watching from Lake Wales, Florida
Shows how amateur I am: I would have just ignored that last sliver of flooring going under the fridge and start just going up against the cabinets.
I like how you laid the floor PROPERLY without transitional pieces, and with the correct orientation - longditudinal and not crossways. You are doing great and your daughter is a lucky girl.
The best way to get some rain in Florida is to pour some concrete.
Hey stranger! LOL Please share more frequently. I'm so anxious to see how you completed the apartment. Blessings 🥰
I wonder what that storage area used to be years ago. Storage rooms don't normally have built in fireplaces.
All is well in my world once again!!!! 😂😂😂 Thanks Mick!!
That fireplace looks great!
I really really like all the help that you got from your dogs. 🐶🐶Them being willing to lay on top of that padding and keep it down flat for you while you’re working on it was extremely beneficial.😂🤣🤓
Happy to see you again Merry Christmas to all
Have missed seeing you. I hope everything is going well with you. I don't think you could have finished that floor without your buddy helping you!!! lol Very nice job! You brought a bit of warmth to this dreary weather we are having. Are we about ready to move in??? 🙂
Wow, you made this mudding look so simple - I weep at the thought of it all if I had to try it!
Good to see you back here. Finishing up nicely 🍻
