No, I don't like baths, he's telling you! PS: The large window is great! When the leaves grow back and there is a gentle breeze blowing through the leaves it'll sound so pretty and peaceful!
I'm really enjoying your renovation! Thanks for saving the log cabin and all the gingerbread trim! Although it would cut down on the upstairs light, I think a 6 over 6 double-hung window like you have on the front would look the best. Looking forward to the next episode.
Thanks! I agree on the window after a little thought. I think I’ll make it a 3’x5’ with the same grid pattern, and that’ll meet fire egress for the bedroom also👍
I really enjoy all your videos! This old home will be beautiful and strong and will last many, many more years. You are a true craftsman! I wish you could build me a home! Ha! Oh, and I also admire how neat and organized you are, always leaving the job site tidy. I will follow along and I can’t wait to see the final reveal! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos, it’s going to turn out awesome, and I hope you’ll stick around to the end. Thanks for watching, and commenting!
That’s great to hear! I’m really enjoying making the videos, and sharing the experience, and the dogs are lots of fun. Thanks for subscribing, and commenting!
Hey Kent, how are you? I got the meter inspected, and the city guys are supposed to hook it up next week. It’ll be nice to get rid of the old one on the front porch.
Is there anything more satisfying than building something with your own two hands? I bet not. Watching someone else do it is the next best thing. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
I love it, and I’ve been hooked since I first helped my dad when I was a youngster. It’s especially satisfying to transform these old rundown houses into something amazing where someone will live their life and create memories. I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos, thanks for watching, and commenting!
I'm just realizing you have 2 of those fur babys. They sure have funny behaviors. I guess my TH-cam habits has picked you up creating more things. Good for yoy!
Ya know, I LITERALLY laughed out loud when the window shattered. Hey, I'm laughing WITH you. If it helps any, I was once putting the handle on what was supposed to be a tempered glass lid for an electric skillet when all hell broke loose. That is to say I must have applied too much torque to the nut & bolt. Flimsy thing shattered like a freight train hitting a wine glass. 😮 Anyway, the larger window looks way better. Maybe you could use the logs you removed for some shelves. 🤔☺️😹🖐✌️🐾🇱🇷
It was pretty funny, and made for some good footage😂. It’s nice to hear that I’m not the only one that breaks stuff. Thanks for the ideas, and feedback.👍
I’m wanting to bring the porch down that side and do shakes or board and batten above on the gable, and maybe do a half post against the wall to make the transition from logs to siding there.
Great work. I have done remodeled work and I enjoyed it. Can you tell me if you are going to go back with an old wood burning stove ? It would enhance and keep up with the old world style . Waiting on your next video. Frome Augusta Georgia
@Madebymick 🤣 hey you, quit whining & use those logs (from where you enlarged that window) to make some shelves with. Or a raised feeding station for that guard dog of yours. 🤔😾😁😸🖐✌️🐾🐾🇱🇷
I found you channel last evening. I am enjoying seeing how you rescued this old cabin, and are bring it back to life.
Welcome 👋 glad you’re enjoying it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I never realized that window being off center until you said it, great catch fixing that!
Yeah, it drove me crazy, glad it’s fixed 👍
No, I don't like baths, he's telling you! PS: The large window is great! When the leaves grow back and there is a gentle breeze blowing through the leaves it'll sound so pretty and peaceful!
Yeah, I guess I shouldn’t tease him about that 😂and thanks for the input, it will be nice 👍
Oh man. Watched them all. Now I have to wait. 🥺
Thanks for watching, so glad you enjoyed them! I’ll try to keep them coming steady!
First, Bennie has my heart❤
I love your eye for the detail 😁
He’s such a great companion, and thanks!
I think the window is fine; a smaller house needs a lot of light or it can feel closed in. Looks like your fur baby was having fun!
Great point, and the babies sure enjoy coming with me!

@@Madebymick 👍
The bigger window looks great! I have Frenchie’s and yours look just like mine, love watching them.
Thanks, and they’re definitely a funny breed of dogs!
Not too big at all. That view is stunning and deserves a big window 😊
Thanks for the feedback👍
The larger window looks much better.
👍
Nice work! It’s nice to have a helper on the job site too!
Thanks! He’s pretty good company.

Enjoying your channel. Solid, common sense work you're doing. Have fun with the rest of the project.
Much appreciated!
I love 5he view out of that window upstairs it's perfect 🥰
It is nice, thanks 👍
From the inside the large window looks great but from the outside it would be a more balanced look if it was a bit smaller.
That’s the conclusion I’ve come to also, thanks!
That window isn’t too big inside / it’s perfect! 🤩 It does look too big outside…. Maybe Mullions and Shutters would help make it feel… smaller?
Yeah, I really like the way it looks inside, and I do think the window frame would size it down a little on the outside. Thanks for the feedback!
I like the big window!
👍
I don't think the window is going to be too big. 😊
I love watching your videos and im so invested in this log cabin now! 😊😂 I cant wait to see the finished product! Great work!
Thanks! I’m really looking forward to the finish on the cabin also, it going to be a sweet little place 👍
I love this restoration and renovation I subscribed a couple moths back and can't get enough of the overall content plus them cute little bulldogs

This is cool to watch, and my fur baby don't like baths either lol.
Thanks! Bennie definitely don’t like bathing, maybe I shouldn’t tease him, but it’s so fun!😂
I love the big window !!! And your Frenchies ❤️❤️
👍
I'm just realizing you have 2 of those fur babys. They sure have funny behaviors. I guess my TH-cam habits has picked you up creating more things. Good for yoy!
Agree love the first babies they are so sweet
Bennie is mine, and the other one is my daughter’s, that I take with me sometimes. They both have funny personalities and love to come with me😁
I love the view out the window 😊
It is nice 👍
Glad to see you are getting the house sealed against wet weather.
Yes, it’s nice to get it sealed up👍
😂😂😂 way to go!!! Hey you didn’t drop it!😅
I sure broke it though 😂

I enjoy watching your videos. I'm getting a little bit too old for these things - Thanks.
Glad you like them! Thanks 🙏
You are awesome! 😊
Thanks Sis!
i think is a goods size also that tree got in the way maybe trimming it so me
Thanks, and I agree on the tree. 👍
I’m curious to see how you make the transition from sheathing/siding to log cabin.

Thanks! I am planning on installing a wood burning stove, and I agree it would fit the era/style. Thanks for watching, and commenting!
Depending on the style of window you put it maybe ok, I think it’s a bit large though
Thanks for the feedback, I think I’ll narrow it up a little and make it a single hung with grids to match the other windows.
Interesting!
Glad you think so! Thanks!
Safety glasses?? :)
Good idea 👍
South Carolina watching 👀 love the videos keep them coming and everyone share and subscribe its all free
Thank you 🙏
Well, well, it's about time you quit slackin' off & got back to work. 😾😹😹✌️
It’s good to be back, but work’s definitely overrated 😁
@Madebymick 🤣 hey you, quit whining & use those logs (from where you enlarged that window) to make some shelves with. Or a raised feeding station for that guard dog of yours. 🤔😾😁😸🖐✌️🐾🐾🇱🇷
@@IzzaMeanCat 👍😂
It's too big. The upstairs window opening.
Unless you don't care about authenticity.
Yeah, I think so too, thanks 👍
If you put only a glass on your window upstears it would be ok....
👍
It is a renovation rather than a restoration, sometimes you gotta do….
You’re right, it is a renovation. I’ve never been big into restoration, and have always been more interested in making a nice comfortable home.
TO BIG...
Thanks for the input.
