Luckily, it was you who found the log cabin, and now you are expertly bringing it back to life. Thank you for appreciating and saving a piece of history!!
This is awesome! My grandmothers house is not to far there. The front of her home is log also. Warmest room in the house. Watching your videos is like going home. Thank you
So cool! I’m having a blast making videos, and sharing them. It makes me happy to hear you’re enjoying them, and that they bring back good memories. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your response. You’re very gifted man and what you can do this home will be beautiful when complete .!it Hass to be fun to work on some history.
Thanks, I really enjoy it, and I’m pretty excited about turning it into something awesome! It’s fun to bring these old houses back, I’ve done a lot of them. I wish I would have started videos a long time ago, it’s fun showing everyone what I’m doing, and documenting the process.
Hi Mr. Mick! I found your channel on my home page a few days ago. Your channel is the best renovation/builder channel I have seen. 😊 What a find with this old log cabin. I am not a fan of gray anything, but the stain looks really good. 👍👍 I had no idea so much work goes into chinking. Great way to use up the old siding. I was wondering if you would reuse it, because it looked like thick wood siding. I can’t wait to see how this turns out! Take care and God bless! ☀😊
Hi, and welcome aboard! 👋 I’m glad you found my channel, and you’re enjoying it. What a wonderful compliment! 👍 Thank you so much for watching, and commenting!
it’s a unique find, I’m excited to see how it turns out.also. Thanks for the feedback on my format, it’s definitely a learning process and that’s good to hear.
Thanks! I really like the look it gives the logs. The addition is actually going to have a Master Bedroom and bathroom on the main floor, and a small bathroom and bathroom on the second floor.
@@Madebymick ah yes that makes sense, looking forward to seeing it, I love the way that the building's specialness made you reconsider your first plants. also the big trees in the garden/plot make it such a lovely setting - and the views. really enjoing seeing it develop - I'm in London, England btw! so very different from here.
I used one five gallon bucket on the one side with the gable, I’ll be covering the other side with an addition, and I’m guessing I’ll use at least one more on the remaining.
I like showing the entire process, if I use normal speed I have to cut up the footage and only get bits and pieces, or make a super long videos where viewers get bored and move on. I’m still learning as I go. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

Thank you so much, I appreciate the compliment!
I agree. Please move it. Really enjoy watching your videos.
Thank you! Will do!
Insulation and wire mesh are also good for filling large gaps, I have seen. This also allows for further expansion and contraction.
Yeah, I’ve seen the metal lathe cut and stapled in the gaps, that looks like it works well, especially on the old school cement based chinking.
Wonderful work.
Many thanks!
The stain really looks nice with the porch and roof.
Thanks! I’m really happy with how it turned out 👍
GOOD JOB .
Thanks 👍
South Carolina watching 👀
Welcome 👋
Your videos are a nice mix of music and narration, and I'm enjoying your wit. And your dog. Thanks!

Thank you! 👍
Oh I’ve been waiting for this 👏👏
👍
Another great video. Utah weather looks like Buffalo weather. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into making a good video.
Thanks! The weather changes by the minute around here, but I’m looking forward to spring so I can get rolling on the cabin again.
@@Madebymick Looks like a good time to sub then! Thanks for sharing the progress.
What an adorable little cabin, can't wait to see it finished. BTW I really like your format.

Thanks for another great video my man. Really enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
I’m very impatient and prefer to watch a Timelapse once the project is complete. That being said, I’m really enjoying your videos! ❤
Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback,I’ve decided that making videos is a real learning process.
@@Madebymick can’t wait for the next one! ❤️
Ater you finish the add=on apartment for your daughter, are you going to show more work on the cabin. I would like to see the finished house.
That's the plan! We’re getting close 👍
Your sidekick, though just gotta get him a little bit more motivated😅
Yeah, his work ethic is questionable 😁
What d'ya mean? He's holding the ground down! Someone has to do it.
@@molly1117 👍
Love how you make it look so easy!
Thank you!
The home is so cute!
Thanks! It’s a pretty unique little place, I’m really looking forward to the finished product.
Sehr gutes Video, mmach weiter so. Grüße aus Deutschland......
Thanks!
Interesting stuff.
It’s definitely an interesting project, thanks for watching!
I love the grey stain you're using, interested what you're building in the extension - a bathroom? enjoying watching this take shape.

Please relocate the electric meter. Its too horrid !!!!
It’s already in the works in the next video, it is pretty horrible 🤣
how many 5 gallon buckets did it take? I have a cabin around this size
I used one five gallon bucket on the one side with the gable, I’ll be covering the other side with an addition, and I’m guessing I’ll use at least one more on the remaining.
@@Madebymick mine is 20x25 ish how many 5 gallon buckets do you think id need?
What is the square of this darling home?
It’s around 750 for the original structure, the addition is going to be another 650 roughly, total is about 1400 sq ft.
Why use Timelapse??

Can you please tell me where this project is?
Mount Pleasant Utah, it’s right in the middle of the state.
