Hello!
I feel honored you have taken time to read my channel description. I have had a few channels in the past, but until recently had not taken the time to learn how to do this "the right way".
I have been an avid angler since I was able to hold a fishing rod. My dad supported my love for fishing and taught me everything I could want to know. He also pushed me to get good grades by rewarding me with tackle. I'm very lucky!
This channel is a mix of instruction and on the water experiences. In general I am making content that I would want to see. You won't see click bait, ridiculous thumbnails, or "catch a fish on a live kitten" type challenges. I hope you enjoy and provide feedback. We are all here to learn and make each other better anglers.

Urban Fishing - Episode 3 - 2nd Creek, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN
The water stinks! Short little creek with stinky water, but seems to be loaded with Bluegill. I will go back at some point in the future and do some micro fishing.

Great informative video, but had to cut it short due to the music was unbearable
I am paranoid about set screw so I ordered a 2nd. Love your second point attachment. Thanks
Which season is the best and the safer to fish there? im new to kayak fishingn in rivers so i would like to know how you guys do to get back to the truck please and thank you
WOW! Thanks a lot! I have one of those motors coming in tomorrow and I was thinking about the way the bracket just overhangs the front of the boat. How I would be able to do that and not damage my trolling motor? It came to me to get one of those brackets and use it. I went to Bass Pro Shop today and bought that exact bracket. I just took it out of the box and was looking at it to see if it would work and I found that the side screw didn't come where it would just screw into the bottom bracket to stop it by tension and it wasn't going to let my motor slide back far enough. Drilling that extra hole and tapping it is a genius move!! That way, it doesn't have that long overhang that is really a bad design. Minn Kota should really look into another fix for that because it could be damaged on the roller on launching the boat. Of course, I guess they did! With this $59.99 bracket!! KA-CHING!! Thanks for your fix!
Just a followup and THANK YOU AGAIN!! I put the QR bracket put in got the extra screw hole tapped in and it slides my Terrova out of the way of any obstructions perfectly!! It really is a simple fix and I LOVE simple fix! I'm a pretty complicated person. LOL
Thanks for these videos. Just bought kayaks and. Needing ideas where to fish and play
Needed this video, ironically I’m in east TN and was diagnosed years ago with BPD (borderline personality disorder) when I was in the Marine Corps. Also have wife and kids, do struggle financially though which does not help at all but I’ve been looking into kayak fishing as it looks so peaceful and relaxing and I think it would help me to have that brief mental break every once in a while. That is if the wife is cool with me leaving her with the kids while I go kayak for 3-4 hours, not sure how that’ll go lol saving up for a cheap kayak and maybe I’ll be out there in next few months!
Subscribed! I’m just east of ya in Johnson City area, hoping to get a kayak soon and get on the water myself! Go Vols! 🍊
Thank you for keeping Knoxville clean and beautiful ❤❤
Been into paddleboarding on the downtown river for a couple years now but never bothered to learn about the dam release schedule or general river flow. Just learned so much from this video, thanks for the info!
they really are idiots they said "strange creature" when it was a catfish like DUHHH come on stupid
We skinny dipped in a warm crystal clear lake out west about 40 years ago. No fences, it was open. PUBLIC. The LARGE PILES OF DEAD SHEEP should have been a clue ... but. The skin rashes never go away. Hope you stay well my man. 👍
Bull Run creek is cool too. I saw a video Alex Rudd did floating it (I recognized the bridge he put in at haha) and it was really cool, caught some small Muskie even in there. I bet you’d enjoy that creek. Might be a little more out of your usual area. Also, they’ve recently posted “Private, No Trespassing “ signs at that bridge. Pretty sure his video was fairly old when he posted. There’s a good bit more graffiti on those bridge pillars now than there was then.
I wonder if there’s a way for you to do a float video in Flat Creek in Mascot. It runs to the Holston
I wonder, is there a way to fish the creek from the bank in the greenway? Edit: i guess so now that i keep watching haha
As a long time resident of downtown knox, it really bums me out to see everything so dirty. How can we clean our streams up?
Have you ever kayaked from Seven Islands State birding park to Downtown Knoxville?
Love mine. Flawless performance.
I know where you're at. If you can go up stream from there there's some good fishing
Can this be mounted backwards so it slides forward to come out instead of having to slide back? Thank you!
I don’t see why it couldn’t be. That’s a good idea!
Does it get hot to stand on duing the summer days?
No. I normally fish in sandals or bare foot in the summer. All good!
@@ScruffyCityFishing thanks for the reply
@@benwhite3017 thanks for watching!!
Thanks for posting this. I’m getting ready to install a Terrova on my Tracker Pro 170, and I’m going to use your solution.
Very welcome!!
Nathan, I am curious after a few years now if you are still happy with this install? Did you have to put anything on the in-boat side to help stabilize TM from bouncing in rough water or did you just slide it back at dock?
So far, so good! I have not slid it back whole in the water.. but do slide it back during towing. Honestly, our lakes here aren’t too rough because of the topography limiting how far winds go without hitting a mountain.
Great job on thye video. Thanks for presenting FACTS, not hype like the abundance of other electric motor videos which seem to fabricate favorable comparisons for the featured subject.
Thanks! I try not to be those yelling people I avoid haha.
Way to get out there with that weather! Most of my Veteran's Days go the same.
I am number 907 subscriber. Thanks for your expertise😊
The Yamaha dealership said not to run it just connect the house fittings and run water for 10 plus mins
That's only if it has the water fitting at the top.
I caught a drum for the first time this summer. The crank bait was useless after. Hooks bent to crap and a crack in the lure. That species hits like an nfl linebacker.
Luckily this one got close to the kayak, so the fight wasn’t too long. I had one ruin a spinner bait last year. They pull like a truck.
Looks like a bass and drum had had fry
Setoer jurues asoie. Def not English
Took 7 minutes of the video to start fishing and stopped within 2 minutes lol nice work though keep it up you're almost at 1k!
That’s art 💪🏽 who ever created that piece is a artist
Agreed!! Looks awesome!

Shit try sleeping next to the airfield and that thing takes off we would go flying from our cots
I’m making plans to go back soon. I know big bass swim up in there..
Big??? And walleye????
Sauger not a walleye lol
Really? I was unsure.
That’s crazy man, I hope you get to feeling better… I live in Chickamauga about 10 minutes from Chattanooga… I subscribed too btw. Gotta support my semi locals…😂 That’s kinda scary man, I fish Chickamauga lake and Nickajack. I haven’t fished Guntersville yet but I’m sure I will one day.
Thanks man! I’m mostly better now. I love Chattanooga! Cool downtown and my kids really like the aquarium. If I win the lottery, I’m going to pay whatever it cost to fish in there 😂.

Snek
Is it? Caught it in saltwater in folly beach SC.
So?
I got covid just after making this video. Weeks later I still cough up like a cup of snot every day. Not saying it was something in the creek, but is odd for sure.
Haha! They were normal the best I could tell.
Were the fish glowing? If not, you're good!
Nice man, This creek is the number one spot I fish. It’s seems like the creek is best around this time of year
I want to get back out there! You do pretty good there?
It can be a tough spot, it’s just the most convenient place for me to fish. I’ve always caught very average size fish, but it’s just nice to be out there 👍
@@Vtechooksets that’s how most of the local places I fish are. I go there for convenience, but know they aren’t the greatest. Still fun though!
Great video. What’s your favorite go to place to fish from your kayak in or near Knoxville ?
Shotgun time.
They looked to be harmless water snakes. Just couldn’t believe how many were in a small area.
You probably could see the bottom 30 feet
Easily! It’s almost eerie how far down I could see. Are you a local to Knoxville?
Interesting series 👍
Great info. I watched it all in spite of the annoying background music.
Thanks for watching. I honestly am not a fan either 😂. Seemed like a cool idea at the time. My newer content is music free.
