Ok so if he starts with a R4 card.....ah why did he modded the 3DS then? Ive seen the video and i still dont get it maybe i dont see the point. With the r4 card you can easily dump every gb,gbc,gba,dsi,2ds,3ds game you will ever own into it with fast speed from your pc and run them....done. I mean its not a psp or vita where you obviously need to mod it, its running on its own.

There’s a modified version of the USB loader GX channel forwarder that can be set as the default launch option in pre-loader so that way you always boot into USB loader gx. I think you need a modified version because the original does not support USB devices on boot so you need to use the channel forward or which then boots up the USB devices which are then detected in USB loader GX

3:42 I know it says it supports up to 256gbs but ive ran into no issues with a 512gb card in mine (my buddy however can't get a 1tb card to work in his so be aware of that potentially, but 1tb is overkill af for one of thiese anyway since the largest psvita title is like 7gbs or lower lmfao)
