One complaint I have with this is how unintuitive the color coding was done. All tube colors match with their respective ports, EXCEPT the faucet and drain are backwards. The faucet port is white and drain is blue, but the blue tube goes to faucet and white goes to drain. Very silly.

How can anyone buy this stage 3 water filter?

This is the system i purchased through costco. the directions and information on when (how) to change filters is garbage to say the least. The red/blue blinking fauset light tells you to replace which filter? Does it know based on Part Per Million, time or battery level? I know ways to "reset" light but again, not knowing what it measures or indicates makes it useless in a way. I've changed the stage one filter at the six month mark but the light remains red. How many times do you need to refill the tank and empty? I did 3 times, just like the original installation. Stage 3, I will change at trhe one year mark. Having a sense of the number of gallons/liters each filter can handle (especially with original part per million and reduction would be ideal). I am sure we don't all use the same amounht of water, nor start with the same amount of ppm in the water. If you chan ge because of bacteria buildup, then give us a baqseline measurement so we can keep an eye on that too. I've found little to no information on stage 2 filter replacement information. Luckily I have a ppm meter from amazon. I will post a video about this system with my meter readings if the company doesn't do an in depth follow video about all this stuff soon.

Do you replace the filters before you sanitize???

The written instructions are fair but the installation video is excellent.

We are a family of 6 with 2 teenagers, a tween, and elementary school grade child. How often should we change the filters. The recommendation was 6 months, 2 years, and 1 year. But I imagine that's probably for a single person living in cool climate.

5:57-6:12, the back is showing a 4-stage system (showing stage 3 and stage 4 at the back).

Regarding faucet leaks: I found out the issue is with the air gap faucet hose (white) that drains contaminated water into your drain. This is either clogged from the garbage disposal or the hole is misaligned. Please check that. It’s a good system if the air gap faucet drain hose is installed properly or not blocked.

totally missed out the most important part: how to remove the red tube from elbow?

I bought a stage 3 but it does not have the red tube adapter. Is it becaude it is a newer version Stage 3?

The blue light on the handle changed to red. Is that because of the battery in the handle or it's time to replace the filter. How often should the three stage filter be changed?

Looks so easy but replacing filter is not, it turns out the port/key port is not easy to turn and align, had to unscrew the port/key slightly to turn the key so they can move and align, otherwise it is not possible to push and turn replacement in. bad design.

If you don't want the faucet, no need for the Tee - just send straight to the fridge. What is the expected PSI on the blue line to the fridge/faucet.

I have the 3 stage system from pureblue, the leak i have is the blue water line under the faucet. I’m assuming poor manufacturing QC since i never touch it. My white drain line is cleaned once a month too.

So my faucet started leaking from under the countertop (not the air gap), the drain line is clean since i use a q-tip once a month to clear out the gunk. Can't believe they manufactured such a poor quality faucet. One of the 3 tubes under the faucet is leaking even though they are rarely ever touched and never pulled.

Hello - i need help: the reverse osmosis faucet on top of the kitchen is leaking water even when it is not been used - what could be the problem? Do those white and blue hoses need to be replaced every so many years? i have replaced the system 3 separate times already and i am ready to just remove it entirely because the water leak in to the base cabinets causes so much wood rot problems.

Worked like a charm,however I had to loosen the four screws slightly surrounding the ports so that they could be turned by hand to bring into alignment.Filters slipped right in.This procedure really needs to be in the owners manual.

is there a way to remove the faucet head to clean it ? just the top part ?

My light would not work. When I tried to reconnect the battery after a filter change, the battery would bunch up and come out of the battery holder. My triangle positive connector was actually too close to the negative connector. Using a butter knife i pushed the positive connector up, which created the separation needed to fit the the battery and hold it in place. Works like a charm again.

Tips I wish were on the video: 1 new flow restrictor is tapped onto the top of the filter. 2 removing the red tube requires the cuff to be held against the filter. The cuff is a white insert on the filter end, which thecred tube goes into. If you just pull the tube, it probably will also pull out the cuff, locking the tube in place. We had one person hold the cuff towards the filter, another person pull the red tube (with non-slip matting), and then it came out easily You can see this on the new filter, once you’ve pulled out the red bung

Few things: First off, if you haven't purchased this item yet, DON'T! It's a leaky piece of junk. Secondly, if you purchased this item and haven't started installing it, DON'T START! Box it back up and return it. Finally, if you're here because you're in the middle of the installation.... Well I'm sorry, you're probably in a pretty dark place right now. Installation is NOT as easy as this video makes it seem. This is a perfect scenario where everything fits. I had to build a custom mount because my cupboard walls were too weak to mount the unit. The angle adapter is cheap plastic garbage and WILL leak. I went to Home Depot and got a higher quality adapter and it didn't leak. However, once I got the system installed and turned on the water the system leaked in three separate locations. Water everywhere. So now after an entire weekend wasted on this junk I'm disassembling it, doing laundry because all of my towels are wet from cleaning up the mess, and finally boxing this thing back up and hoping Costco will take it back. Avoid this product at all costs!!

this model is KNOWN for having leaky faucets...I'm having the same issue. I should have looked at the reviews. Just because Costco sells it doesn't mean it's good. lesson learned.

I would like to connect one directly to my faucet in my pantry without the dispenser. Why do you need the drain hole?

Most of the action is off the bottom of the screen or covered up by the enormous closed-captioning band spanning across the bottom of the screen. This is one of the most useless how-to videos I have ever seen. Luckily I was able to track down some instructions on their website. Something I learned there is that after changing the filters you need to fill and empty the tank three times to get the carbon dust out, before you can drink the water.

Are the manifold and filters able to lay flat or do they need to be vertical?
