Thanks for the tip. I disconnected my drain hose and actually saw quite a bit of water coming out so i wasnt sure this was going to work. I used my compressor in the garage and was surprised by the amount of gunk that was in the line.... makes sense considering it does connect to your garbage disposal.
Thank you for your clip. I bought the water filter system from Costco last year and now the red light is on and not much water coming out, I don’t know what’s happening.
The red light appears after 2,000 minutes of water usage and indicates that it is time for a 6 month filter (Stage 1 and 2) change. You must manually reset the faucet battery for the light to appear blue again.
Change your filter cartridges 1 and 2 every 6 months, change cartridge 4 each year, and cartridge 3 every 2-3 years. The faucet light is supposed to turn red every 6 months to remind you to change your cartridges and to change the faucet handle with a CR 2032 battery.
How the heck is it so difficult to find the Stage 3 cartridge? Look every where on Amazon. They have everything BUT the Stage 3 cartridge. Please help...
I just removed my Watts reverse osmosis water filter (it was old and leaking all over the place) and exchanged it for the PureBlue. I followed the video instructions instead of the booklet (play - pause). Did it correctly, no leaks so far....
just finished installing the pure blue h20 RO from Costco. This video plus the instructions helped a lot. While waiting to pressurize the tank I checked under the kitchen sink and noticed water was trickling from the manifold at the collet-tubing interface to the tank. I pushed in the collet and pulled out the tubing and cut it square using a utility knife thinking perhaps the tubing was not flush. Water continues to leak. Not sure what else to do?
I had to lightly file the end of my tubing for the leak to stop. I used a cardboard nail file for this as the metal ones just pushed the plastic around versus filing it away. Work perfectly now.
I've been a happy owner of 2 separate PureBlue H2O systems, both from Costco. However after changing out the #1, #2 and #4 filter today, same way as I have twice a year from the past many years, it started leaking between the 2nd filter (Stage 2 pre carbon) and where it twists into the manifold. Reattempted, including tried putting on the old filters, it continues to leak once the water supply is turned on. Please help? This particular unit is only 2 years old.
Hay John, please don't think I am rude, but I want to install a water filtering system in my home in Ireland, and after a bit of reading this system came up as my best option . Can I ask if it is expensive ? Just a rough price would be a great help. Thanks in advance, buddy.
I'm having an issue with water dripping out from the small port under the manifold after I replaced the filters. Called support, was told it was the manifold that needed to be replaced, did that, nope. Was then told it was the water pressure that was too high, nope. Water still dripping. Just turned off the water supply and got my Brita back out. Now I'm out the replacement filters and the manifold $$$.
The video is somewhat confusing, as it giving out instructions on connecting the tubes of the faucet to the outlets/inlets. It showed the white tube connecting to the “tank” but it was suppose to connect to drain hole, be aware when following this video step by step.
I had no issues with the directions as there are two tubs of the same size. One connected to the faucet (unremovable) and one of the same size that was separate in the shipping bag.
Your video says drain 2 full tanks at the end of the install. Then it is ok to drink from the 4th tank. What happened to the 3rd tank? Did you mean ok to drink from the 3rd tank and accidentally said 4th tank by mistake?
I keep getting a screeching noise after changing the filters. Been going on for a couple of hours. I’m ready to scream. Checked the pressure, filters, tubing. What’s going on.

@@pureblueh2ollc27 This is happening to us also - a screeching noise when installing a new unit. Tried to call you but no answer and I left a message. Please help or I will need to return the unit to Costco.
@@pureblueh2ollc27 I have the same problem the screeching noise and water is running down the drain!! my water bill came to be higher than the electric bill now, because of this please some one help!!
Finally decided to install it, bad purchase.. the blue hose began leaking profusely! It's well inserted, so I don't know what the issue may be.. Unfortunately I bought it 2 years ago from Costco and and just installing now, so likely no warranty
I BELIEVE THE RATIO IS 2:1 (10 GALLONS TO 5 GALLONS OF FILTERED WATER) SO EVERY 2 CUPS OF DRAIN WATER YOU GET 1 CUP OF FILTERED WATER WHEN THE TANK IS EMPTY BUT IT BECOMES LESS EFFICIENT WHEN IT FILLS TO THE TOP BECAUSE OF BACK PRESSURE SO MORE DRAIN WATER AND LESS FILTERED WATER GET THROUGH THAT'S WHY YOU NEED A PERMEATE PUMP FILLS WATER FASTER
Thanks for the clear video. FYI… it’s technically called ’Teflon tape’. Plumbers tape is something different. 😉

Mine too. The outlet to the tank and to the faucet are both leaking a lot after squarely cutting both tubings
My problem was fixed by pushing the tubings farther into the manifold
same here, need to use Teflon Tape. Solved the issue.

Hello there every time it refills tank its making lot of noise from the gap on faucet could u please tell me what’s the reason. Thank youz
Why does the faucet always leak after about a year? Im on my 2nd faucet and now its leaking too
My second system. I have everything connected as instruction, but water flows from the air gap window. What to do?
I put the white faucet lane to tank in filter.. how to remove this?

The "first" fill was released after 2 hours to test the water pressure, then filled for 3-6 hours completely, and drained 2x.
I installed this filter two months ago, now the overflow from the faucet starts draining as the main water supply is turned on.
then how do you solve it ?
Hello...will this filter work if its installed on a dedicated cold water line? Thx
drain the tank twice, but the fourth full tank can be used for drinking? Yall's math aint right.
Mi tank doesn’t fill’s with water at all . But i have water coming out from the fucet
Teflon tape
1/4 inch drill bit
5inch circumference and 5inch long pvc pipe if renting lol
2 years later faucet started leaking . Returning this to costco

Clear the drain line in and out
Excuseme, you never mention anything about if we need to put air to the tank, and how many pounds.
Thanks.
YOU DON'T NEED TO FOR A WHILE
11 months later my water tank rusted and began leaking. This was a bad Costco purchase. Should have stuck to home depot.
