Is the US General Gen 3 72” Toolbox worth the cost??
มุมมอง 1.9K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
I have upgraded to the US General 72” roller cabinet from Harbor Freight. After the video was made I priced two builds through my Snap On dealer. A similar style box in the Masters series would be $25000, while the Equos Series would be $22750. Snap on does have some cool options, but this is a little over 10% of the cost of a Snap On.

I bought the cheapest 1989 5.0 5 speed coupes I’ve seen in a long time. It definitely needs work, but did I get a good deal or did I get hosed? Lots of rust repair and unknown mechanical issues could make this cheap 89 notch not so cheap to get running again.

I would have tried it the way the adapter was already wired to see if it works, especially since all 3 were that way. Maybe the car gets a signal from the radio and then gives power to the orange/black, which would then energize the blue/white. Also, is that a cassette-shaped fade pattern on the passenger seat bottom? If so, how period correct is that lol.

I thought about that some more after I put it in, I might pull it back out and try another adapter. Yes!! The passenger seat is faded around a cassette adapter 😂🤣 Thanks for watching!!

Has my attention! I owned a similar Marauder some years back. Identical colors. Reliable and gorgeous. Mine was stock with similar mileage. Sadly, it was underpowered and needed bigger/better brakes. Would love to have this one if I had a place for it. Bought a Chrysler 300S 5.7L to replace the Marauder - no regrets.

@@GlovedUpGarage i have some seems they are open like in your video when you show the car without the fender , I am planning to seal them with silicone , under the dash it is impossible to find the source of the leak because there is a liner all over covering the metal . so like you said there is not many options for the water to enter. Door hinge bolts, also bolts on the top there is 3 , wire harness goes to the door , and the seems from the cap it has little taps they being folded over if you look closely in the video , all the bolts are sealed so they are out , the wire harness is not broke and the water is coming from above so that is ruled out as well , what left is the seems .. Do you have nay suggestions what else could be ? Also you think silicone is a good idea or i should use like a roof mastic similar to the factory stuff they used under the hinge bolts that stuff does not get hard stays kind a softish .... I also was thinking to use spray foam but that is not really waterproof so maybe over time will leak , but that would be easy to apply just spray into the area. I have no leak on the passenger side because i have resealed the fresh air inlet! So that side is dry now . Thank you for your time and any advice welcome !!!

I have used the borescope and i see the drips from above but the borescope is not thin enough to get up there where it is coming from ... I am thinking to use a smoke machine to see where the smoke escape around the fender.... it is not coming from the hood release cable also not from the cable grommet from the door either . it is coming from above all those bolts are watertight on top i have checked .... it is pain... I love my 23" now that we figured out what that annoying clunk was coming from the front end. It took two trips to the dealership and a loaner car, but I got it back and while they were removing the right front strut for replacement they noticed the upper bearing had separated. So they installed a new RF strut, upper bearing, strut mount, and did an alignment. Reading through the invoice it says “Found SSM 52405 for front strut noise and vehicle falls within build date of SSM criteria" So Ford is aware of this issue somewhere along the line. I know a lot of folks are experiencing this same issue and no one seemed to have a solution I could find. Except that the dealerships were telling them it was normal. DON'T buy that crap if yours is making what sounds like a strut or ball joint noise from the front end!! This SUV runs like a bat out of hell, especially in sport mode. It has a stiff ride and handles like a go cart instead of a 4600lb SUV. I'm doing the ST Experience in Asheville next month and can't wait to run the piss outta one these that I don't have to worry about fixing later ;)

Not sure if my system has a damage but I will try to return it. The customer service just told me I should talk to the exhaust team since it has been installed already. I waited 16mins in the line until I gave up and called service again. They told me expected waiting time would be around 30mins... not for me. Just wrote them a mail, waiting for response.

I’m seeing a lot of rust from cars that were in Louisville, probably from the salt used and not being washed. My SSP is from Louisville and it’s way worse than this one. Thanks for watching!!

@@GlovedUpGarage that’s cool, I looked at a Jefferson county car it has no rust, my girlfriends father ended up buying it about 8 years ago now. I have a 86 Utah ssp I’ve been trying to sell.

Not cheap at all if its so rusty worried about tow truck causing damage just by hooking it up its rough and not running you didnt get ripped off but not a great deal IMO

I figured that would be a good test to see if it’s still solid enough to drive. Thanks for watching!!

I’ve owned 31 different Mustangs and currently own 2 Foxes. One is a 91 GT that’s headed towards Fobra status, and the other is an 85 Coupe. Based on the asking prices I’ve seen on these lately, you STOLE that one. Good luck on your project !

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Watching the market go crazy over the last few years, I cant help but think how rich I’d be if I held onto all the cars I sold and cashed out now. Thanks for watching!!

LMR or CJ Pony for parts?

    • @GlovedUpGarage
      @GlovedUpGarage 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

I use a mix of the two. I’ve had a couple issues with CJ. I recently saw NPD is selling fox parts but haven’t tried them yet.

You can tell who the prices have gone. I used to be able to pick these up all day long for a grand. They are popular again so it should.

I’m sure most of us who wanted one when we were younger and without the finances to afford one have now reached a point where they can afford them. That and the popularity have increased the value. Thank you for watching!!

Yes sir. The funny thing is, they call it a mid life crisis. We call it financially able to afford now lol. I am currently do a Ls3 swap with my grandkids. It's a Ls3/6L90E swap in a 03'Crown Vic Police Interceptor. I wouldn't ls swap a foxbody, but I will a Crown Vic lol. I started making videos for my grandkids and they started to want to learn and help. I am having alot of fun with them. Grandma has gotten in on it as well lol. Now it's a family project. Are you going to keep her stockish and just restore her or are you modifying it?
