I got a copy of RE3 remake but never opened it after finding out how much was cut. I was absolutely furious

recently there was a steam sale with most of the avaliable pc RE games, i bought them, except for RE 3 remake, i played them all before, but pirated versions bc i had no money, but i bought them bc it felt deserving, but not RE 3, to me that game sucked major balls

The forced online features made me uninstall MHW. Maybe one day I'll get back to it. I'm liking MH Rise so far though.

They could really transform this game with the proper remake treatment. They don't even need to change the story that was pretty solid but imagine a darker, horror focused game with updated graphics and game mechanics with shevas and character being fleshed out a bit more. I personally loved the newer version of wesker we got in Re4 remake so it would also be great to really expand on the bad blood between him and Chris. It would give Re5 a totally new audience. Not sure what they could do about the boulder punching because it's so iconic 😂.

I think these guys just blast through the re3 remake as fast as possible to just start re4 remake.

Just imagine this OG Re2 was released in 1998 while OG Re3 was released a year later (1999) Just a year+, they managed to make OG Re3 a fantastic game including mercenaries mode etc. Let's face the fact while they're making Re2 remake, the thought of making Re3 remake was already "implanted" in their head. Naturally everyone was having high expectations on Re3 remake (since Re2 remake is almost perfect in its way) along with the technology that they have. Just imagine the disappointment for the fans having the park & clock tower being cut off. Capcom really screw this Re3 remake hard...

It was so disappointing that they didn't give the love re2 make got. That game was so good. Re3 even the damage to zombies was downgraded by alot.

Oh yea RE6, the worst game in the entier franchise. Waist of time and money. You could remove it entierly from the franchisa that would make absolutely no difrence lore wise.

God I hope they don't go in the direction of 4. I know people love it, I don't care, I hate it and I hate the remake. They're action shooters, not survival horror games in the style of the original games. I don't want Doom with zombies, I want slower paced, puzzle solving, exploratory, Resident Evil survival horror. 4 is not a bad game, it's a good game, but it's where it all started going wrong for my beloved RE and I hate it.

I loved what we got in RE3 remake, but it was like 60% of an RE game. I’ll gladly take a DLC/Director’s Cut to try to fill in the blanks, but good Lord, why couldn’t this have been done from the start?

I played RE2 and RE3 remake back to back and loved RE3 remake. RE2 remake has 2 “campaigns” buts the same thing with a few changes and an extra bit at the very end. RE3 felt like a complete journey from start to finish and I felt happy with my playthrough. It helps I got it on sale, not full price.

Just played RE2 remake and now playing 3 and the knife damage is different too in 3 which was a let down too

resident evil 7 did not revive anything, literally resident evil 6 sold copies like hotcakes, despite all the complaints from critics and some fans, the only thing resident evil 7 did was to make a mix of horror movies with video games of that time like Outlast that ended up liking only to the impressionable new fans that the franchise has today.

The way this game was handled is the reason why I still don't trust Capcom 100%. I will continue giving them shit over this game until they remake RE3 properly.

I would shit my pants in a first person resident evil 1 remake. Imagine a remake as faithful as the first one, that adds just as many things that fit perfectly , on top of a bunch of reasons to do subsequent playthroughs like weapons or characters Give me a campaign where i fuck around as Wesker while they're doing what i did to unlock weskers campaign 👀 First person crimson heads would have me going to church on Sunday

I tried to like rise. Just couldn’t. I will say the monster roster was great never having fought magala and other great adds. It’s not bad but world just felt so much better. And well hunting safi, Kulve, fatalis, alatreon was pretty hard to beat.

I looked at re3 remake like glorified dlc. I only paid $30 for it. Been burned too many times buying games day 1.

They cut out 90% of the game, designed nemesis like shit and made Jill a B. Great remake 10/10. Only good thing was the gameplay mechanics Even resident evil 2 looking at it was half assed. Both stories were the same and instead of allowing you (in both games) to explore more of the city they made it so condensed. These remakes should have been made to expand it. Resident 2 remake wasn’t bad it was a good step but looking at both objectively they fall super short compared to the resident evil 1 remake

The problem with remaking RE1 again is that they already struck diamonds with the first remake and they made the greatest survival horror game ever with it I think Code Veronica needs a remake before 1 needs another you can play 1 remake and 0 on every platform imaginable now

I've been wanting a remake for this in the style of Resident Evil 2 and 3. People saying there was already a remake and that it didn't need one are tripping. Eventually I want Resident Evil 0 too.

The problem was they should have not started this Remake with the B team. If this remake was made after the developers of RE 2 finished that game, the could have started working on RE 3 but Capcom had funny idea to make RE 3 a quick cash grab.

Honestly no, not too late, sure a lot of damage has already been done, but it's never too late to correct a mistake

Capcom dropped the ball on remaking RE3… to much was missing decent game but low replay value… not a lot to achieve in the game.

Honestly, separate ways could be a perfect pausing point for weskers remake story arc where they go back and remake re1 to give his origin story in an over the shoulder game style (And maybe make Code Veronica after explaining weskers story after re1)

I dunno if saying RE5 getting a remake is good news, the thing i dislike about remake culture if people over-hyping bad games knowing it could fix the game but it would be a different game entirely to fix what was disliked. The idea of a Director's cut sounds good on the surface but wouldn't work, the issue is the game was wrong from all angles and would need to be a different game entirely. People wanted a remake of RE3, not a game using re3's characters and a vague resemblance, remakes are supposed to be very similar with new content, not barely alike with little content. 3 remake just had too much wrong. The game forced you forward, there was no proper exploration, the streets felt dull and lifeless, the atmosphere was scary, the area's felt compact and linear, the removal of branching stories was a waste of replay value they could of kept and of course, most offensively, Nemesis, in the OG games, Nemesis was tough but tolerable too, he was a menace sure but you was rewarded for fighting him or dealt with his stalking for a period of time when fleeing, it was fun, he felt scary as a monster, now he has a fixed chase sequence, looks weirdly bland (how do you mess up what was already done for you) and isn't a threat at all, if anything, he is a joke. This is the point, the directors cut wouldn't work as the game was broken from the core, it wasn't what it promised, which stung twice as much as just the year before RE2 had a amazing remake, it felt like the classic game with some new moments added, very little content changed but tweaked to fit the modern style and everything felt great, only downside was its ost sucked but you could pay for the classic (scummy move but worth the extra pennies).

I played a game back in 2000 called severance blade of darkness and it had a 3rd person and 1st person it would be awesome to see something like that reused but with a fixed camera angle as well

re3 remake imo needs a "uncut version" or major update and this is coming from someone who DIDN'T play the original

I think the main problem for RE5 and RE6 is that the story became military mission instead of stealth mission. The BSAA was too large so everything became a team work. In Leon's line, of Revelation 1 and 2, though there was Co-op, the scary atmosphere was there.

I never understood the hate that this game received. I personally enjoyed it. Sure it was different, and basically 4 different campaigns on one disc was a bargain at the time

What happened with the audio?... I'm not sure if it's my phone, but for some reason near the end, there was really bad overlap, making it hard to understand what you're trying to say
