Resident Evil 5 is one of my favorite games of all time.❤ So many priceless memories as a teenager playing with my friends, playthrough after playthrough... I don't know if I can even imagine what an RE5 remake in line with the last three remakes would even look/play like. It's fascinating to think about but worries me quite a bit. Either way, it'll be a day one purchase.

There is ONE scene that, especially based on RE8's dub, absolutely needs to be there (Chris Redfield vs. Albert Wesker in a volcano, complete with boulder punching) in an RE5 remake. That should be the whole remake. Chris Redfield in Albert Wesker's super villain volcano lair. Is that the most Bond villain premise for a core Resident Evil location? Yes. But it's not like RE was ever Silent Hill level serious. Cheese was ALWAYS in Resident Evil's DNA.

Funnily many people hated RE5 as an RE game (me included), but as a game in general I played it a lot. If Capcom makes a proper remake and not just an HD update, I think the biggest change the game could benefit from would be to make the world more connected. I know its very hard to pull off without altering the original concept, but RE5 has very arcade like gameplay and the game being divded into stages increases this feel a lot. Giving it a more connected world, would add an advanture and explore touch. I think game would benefit from it, if properly done.

The first ever resident evil game i played was resident evil 1 and never touched another one until biohazard, then village then resident evil 4 I'm absolutely in love with the games. I'm currently playing resident evil 2 remake, going for the platinum. Then i'm going to plat 3, 4, biohazard, village and then any other game they bring out on remake.
Much as the GC remake holds up, seeing 1 with the mechanics of 2 remake could be really cool - makes more sense to set the scene rather than further progressing the story into 5+6 remakes (or a remaster of 6)
Honestly, separate ways could be a perfect pausing point for weskers remake story arc where they go back and remake re1 to give his origin story in an over the shoulder game style (And maybe make Code Veronica after explaining weskers story after re1)
1 makes a bit more sense now, they can tie lore together with the hybrids seen in Village and 4, I love the games but “btw giant spiders” might have been harder for new fans to swallow prior to playing 4
They could really transform this game with the proper remake treatment. They don't even need to change the story that was pretty solid but imagine a darker, horror focused game with updated graphics and game mechanics with shevas and character being fleshed out a bit more. I personally loved the newer version of wesker we got in Re4 remake so it would also be great to really expand on the bad blood between him and Chris. It would give Re5 a totally new audience. Not sure what they could do about the boulder punching because it's so iconic 😂.

RE5 is going to be amazing if its remade. RE5 aged incredibly well and still looks great. I would love it with just some tweaks to make it more modern, and I'll be happy to run through it over a dozen times again with a friend. I hope they make the treasure system more like RE4 again. I hope the game can be longer too, and have more costumes and weapons
I want RE5 to be a single player game with the option to play coop. no AI coop partner but a smart way that sheva is doing her thing outside the gameplay when playing the single player

RE5 was an absolute blast back in the day, but before we dive into that nostalgia, we really need a remake of Code Veronica. So many young gamers missed out on that gem! Sure, they can watch videos, but there's nothing like experiencing the story firsthand
I understand that code veronica makes sense release date wise and story wise. But that IS NOT how business decisions are made. In fact I would doubt the people making the call have even played code veronica. RE5 was capcom's top grossing property for like 10 years. The only way code veronica comes out before RE5 is if they have a business strategy involving it with the goal of boosting RE5 sales exclusively (they might even risk a loss in that case)
RE5 was not my first but in an odd way it’s my favorite. Playing co-op with friends in the survival horror style of RE is a rare experience. The game would hugely benefit from Code Veronica being remade first to better establish Wesker as a character. Since there are relatively few die-hard fans compared to the other RE games they have a lot of freedom to change the game. The remake would be a huge opportunity to make a masterpiece.
RE5 Remake will be cool but I personally hope they do Code Veronica first because the story leads to 5 and I wanna see Claire’s story continue as a Remake next after we got more of Leon’s in 4 after RE2 Remake. Code Veronica as a remake has so much potential and it has some of the best music in the entire series 🙏 but I’m always excited for any new RE game

I'd really like an RE5 Remake. I used to love it as a kid but going back to it now it feels kinda clunky. Not being able to move while aiming hasn't aged well. It's different with the og trilogy and Zero because of the fixed camera and only giving you essentially 3 optional target areas (head, torso, and legs) but when it's over the shoulder it just feels unnecessarily limited. That and sprint either being un toggleable joystick action or forward and A/X is just plain odd.
If RE5 is remade it still needs to retain its off-the-walls “Micheal Bay” action focus. That’s its strength. But they should improve the mechanics and co-op ai to improve that experience. But they need to remake CV first, and that should remain a horror game.
Honestly RE5 remake should b more like fallout/Skyrim but only open enough yet still work like RE8 dose layout and open up like a metroidvania eventually opening up completely within the boundaries of the map layout, the chapter stuff has got 2 go it wuz never a good idea 💡

RE5 is by far my favorite of the franchise, but we definitely need Code Veronica first.
No it's 5 remak or 9 next for the new Resident Evil game so Code Veronica is not a main line number entry. Let it go on a spin-off entry like Code Veronica but Dino Crisis needs a remake having dinosaurs are tougher than zombies or b.o.w. enemies with tanking health.

Who said they are skipping it, there are rumors it could be the next remake.
