Tbh, I'm feeling a bit worried that RE9 could become action horror like RE4 vs Horror action like RE7. RE4 was great, it was a nice rollercoaster ride but wasn't scary at all to me. It had a horror atmosphere but obliterating enemies kinda removes any fear. RE7 being first person was more immersive and vulnerable. Like the original re4 which through selling so well, kickstarted capcom towards more of an action route with re5 and then even further with re6. Re4 remake selling so well kinda shows how much more of an appeal the action horror route has
The story is better in remake. The story isn't the problem, it's that the game is too linear, they ruined Nemesis because people complained about Mr X, and the costume selection is pitiful.
Personally I would like to see code veronica and 5 remade next, hopefully a directors cut of RE3R too.

Every mainline RE game before RE7 will eventually get remake treatment. Just a question of which and when.
