This game was an obvious cash grab. I had so much fun with RE2R and was so glad they decided to remake 3 because it was the RE and survival horror game I played. Was so disappointed with it, refunded it within the first hour.
The most problematic situation its that the official community manager of RE doesnt even telling the negative critics but she blocking / muting every negative critics. So they probably dont understans that people doesnt like RE3R for a specific reason.
Every time I play Resident Evil 3 remake, the game just doesn't feel like it's truly finished. Separate Ways felt more like a finished game and that was a dlc.
RE3 remake also released during the peak of the lockdown when GameStop was locked and they had to place the game in a basket. RE3 was also never a full game, it's only Jills episode, RE2 and RE3 together equals the full game.
I feel that way for all of the "remakes" since they ALL cut out chunks of content. Idk how, in 2024, a remake has LESS content than the OG but with MORE bloat. RE1R is the only true RE remake.
Of course. Absolutely the original is better. I still play the og and nemesis if you go a wrong way will pop up randomly and scare the shit outta me. The remake is legit trash
I'm still annoyed at how Capcom bungled the RE3 remake: they did so well with RE2 and RE4, only to release RE3 feeling like it was half-done. Put it this way, I'd rather replay the OG than the Remake and fortunate I can because I have the old SourceNext PC port and it works with the Seamless HD mod.
it wasnt even made by the same team that did re2, 4, or even 7 and 8. And thats why. I still think its a good game on its own and fine for new fans to play.
Many are annoyed but everyone just ended to fall in the trap of Capcom's business. Their plan was to release RE4R from the beginning, since RE7 they was starting to build assets for RE4R (just looks how many games has similar assets, including Monster Hunter World and REVillage etc...) But they didnt cared since they tought: dont worry we release REvillage and RE4R so they will forget about the failure of RE3R and we could focus for RE5R and stuff. The problem nowadays its that we have too many "consumers" than passionate gamers...
The borked RE2 remake too lol. character assasination and non-existent A and B scenario. B scenarios only difference is you start at the back gate and get a different gun otherwise the story plays exactly the same as A scenario. original RE2 each scenario was a completely different experience and not just a different starting location.
@@oliversedgwick7236 I agree. I'll always assume since they made RE2r and RE3r at basically the same time. They tried to kept 2 as close as possible to the original while upgrading it. And with 3 they changed basically as much as you could without it being a completely different game. And they learned which one we liked more and so they went with the RE2r plan for RE4r.
@samf.s.7731 I mean make the game more open, give Nemesis a complete rework, add some puzzles in, maybe add the live selection system if you wanna go wild, they could even rewrite the characters to match their RE3 99 counterparts. All this is necessary if Capcom wants to make it more like the RE3 remake people actually wanted. If they're not willing to go the extra mile then just let the remake be, no directors cut needed. Obviously the game has a large fanbase willing to defend the game no matter how safe and uncreative it is.
@@lilMissF0F0 Either remake the game from ground up or let it be. There's no point in making a director's cut that wouldn't satisfy anyone. As I said, even if a lot of people didn't like the 3 remake there's still a vocal fanbase around the game
Let’s be real, Capcom got too arrogant and cocky with the success of RE2Remake, so they just phoned in RE3Remake and figured gamers would be fine with it. Very lazy and bad on them!
I think that both RE3 and RE2 need a director's cut. For 3 so to add the clocktower(explorable with Carlos to get to the other side and save Jill) and the park(which Jill should walk through to get to the police station and try to help Brad, before seeing him getting killed by Nemesis like in the original, and be forced to run back where she came from). For RE2 so to include a proper B scenario that doesn't contradict the A scenario, and doesn't reuse 80% of the same content.
The lack of city exploration was the huge missed opportunity. Ever sin e re3nemesis i wanted to explore ALL of Racoon. Not just a couple city blocks on a railroaded express. I wanted a choose your own adventure like the origonal whwre critical choices lead to what happened next. Instead we got a railroad shooter...
I don't like most open world games, but an open world or even sandbox Raccoon City during the outbreak would be actually amazing! There are enough side characters, small environmental stories and such to make a really compelling game in that genre. Plus, there are plenty of in-lore ways to keep players out of other major story areas like the RPD while those stories are happening to avoid major plotholes.
@@Chemical_Symphony I played outbreak. I wanted Nemesis, but i expected too much. I was hoping Re2remake level, we got a decent game but it missex so many cha ces to be great
Mercenaries mode ? It's anecdotal. RE3 had the potential to be the greatest RE game ever released, and I mean it. It could've been faithful to the original, while making the city more open (not really an open world, but large hubs) with new redesigned locations, and older ones rediscovered. Perfect RE3 recipe (in that order) : - Lower town - RCPD - Upper town - Raccoon subway (à la RE Outbreak) - Saint-Michael's Clocktower - Raccoon Hospital - Raccoon Suburbs - Raccoon Zoo (optional) - Raccoon University - Raccoon Park + cemetary - Chemical Plant A 16 hours game, and a huge hit.
I actually really wanted to see the umbrella mercenaries vs the tyrants in the remake and see what actually happened but we didn't 😢 It could have easily been better than RE2R.
It's entirely too late. That ship has come and gone. The game itself clearly was rushed and intended as DLC but someone high in the chain of command said to make it a full game. And what did it give us? In short? Everything that RE3 WASN'T. It can't be understated how much of a disappointment this was. From the dishonest with the classic outfit (yes they censored it), to the QTEs that changed pathing, enemy and item layout to excluding Mercs mode. Then the issue with jill not even looking or acting like jill, it was a knock off pretending to be a girl boss pushing around the men! Somehow, capcom hasn't learned anything.
What the fuck do you mean by pushing around men she hates the umbrella company not men 😂😂😂 so I don’t know what you mean by that but everything else you got right
I don’t know what your talking about when you said pushing around men she hates the company that they work for not men or how you stated pushing around or all girl power stuff but I do think most of what you said was understandable
@@themadhatters6830 Not to mention, Jill actually warms up to Carlos and Tyrell when she realizes they're not just Umbrella's goons and show that they actually care about the civilians and even help her out of dire situations. Also in the original RE3, Jill was initially pissed at Carlos when she found out he was working for Umbrella. That person clearly didn't play the original RE3. 💀
@@themadhatters6830Plausible deniability helps to insert modern audience gimmicks. Insert a woman with an abrasive personality, and justify it through bare-minimum reasoning. Not enough to be convincing, but enough to be glossed and skipped over. In short, it’s lazy story telling. But because RE3R’s development was partly handled outside of Capcom’s in-house team, it’s pretty clear that there were competing visions going on even just from the perspective of the gamers playing it.
@@ramlethalvalentinedestroye1784 well yeah but he means wirh this game...fans spread rumors of a directors cut for the re3 remake when its truly not going to happen
Well put. They could never meet the fan expectations now. Resident Evil remake games are like the Grand Central Station of disappointment. I go into them saying ((what did they cut out this time)) and not ((wow let's have a great time!)). Same with the rest, Metal Gear:D hah, another casualty in the war against the original fans.
Yeah I agree, But If Capcom was to do a Director's Cut of RE3 Remake I would be good with adding the Clock Tower, the Cemetery, re-add some scraped enemy types like the giant Spiders, maybe rework Nemesis is so at of the story parts he feels like Mr.X from the RE2 Remake and also have a gamemode in the settings that makes everything have fixed camera angles and tank controls
The problem with a "Director's Cut" of RE3 Remake is that Capcom will try to sell it to people, and make money off of it. They should actually give it to 3make purchasers as free DLC. The reason being: They dropped the ball on 3make, this "Director's Cut" content was supposed to be in the game from the start!
3R was a cash grab.. It never got the 2R and 4R Treatment. It`s a shame how beautiful and great the technology of 3D is at today compared to our childhood Resident Evils compared to the Remakes
All three of them were cash grabs. They only needed better graphics. They cameras from the original versions were perfectly fine. This stupid action horror binge they are on has only made the remakes worse.
I remember playing the RE2 remake and seeing how they improved Mr X to go through doors, and I was like "Man! Wait till they remake Nemesis RUNNING through those doors!".. imagine my disappointment..
Please Capcom give us a true re3 remake, re3 original got me into the re universe 🖤 I would love to get a re3 original for the ps 4 and 5 , or just upgrade the graphics of the original and give us it
That'd be fun to have a director's cut of Resident Evil 3 so that they could maybe put the cemetery scene back in that was very clearly omitted from the remake. Everybody missed that scene.
I feel your pain brother. Resident Evil 3 was not only my first resident evil but I honestly love it above all the original trilogy. Yes, even above 2. What goes over some ppls heads it's the fact that the main protagonist in 3 is RACCOON CITY. There's just something so alluring about the idea that the entire city has gone to hell and you have to escape a city vs being cooped up in a house or police station. IDK maybe it's just me but 3 deserved way better than what the remake was. I hope Capcom sees there is a huge portion of 3 fans that want justice...
I will suggest RE Outbreak, emulate it and try it out, trust me you won't be disappointed, the first scenario takes place in the heart of raccoon city; Downtown starting in a bar
RE1 remake added so much more but lost a few branching paths (and memorable closing titles). On the whole we gained a hell of a lot more than we lost. RE2 remake improved the gameplay and presentation but the writing was pretty terrible and the zapping system was murdered. Net neutral, gained much but lost a fair bit too. RE3 remake improved graphics and made the dodge work but lost half the city, did not understand the characters, neutered the nemesis while presenting him like a G mutant, traded mercenaries mode for a rubbish online game no one wanted, put half the game on rails, had riot footage instead of a zombie outbreak, blew Jill's coup de gras line, removed all replayability features, barely bothered with alternate costumes, removed all puzzles, lazily reused the lab assets from RE2r...
@@ChocolatierRob And re4 remake ditched a whole boss fight to add later to dlc, also mercs mode could have been better, they take so many combat actions and enemy ideas out of revelations 2 but then they don't bother to make raid mode or even a roster of characters as good as re5 and 6.
I think Capcom would absolutely make fans go insane by reworking RE3. A director's cut would be fucking amazing ans it would revive this game for months.
The only thing I can think of is to make those cut areas -Optional locations: A) Uptown and Downtown B) An all-new midtown C) Jill's version of visiting the RPD D) Clocktower E) Enlarged Park Area This way the Remake can still be its own thing, but these areas can be accessed as a sort of bonus for the curious. *Maybe the Gun Powder mechanic can be activated once visiting these areas.
This resident evil 3 remake could have turned out to be something great but since the fact they chose to do this game very quickly and release it so fast that's why this game was never loved to begin with.
@@classic1245 The game had 3-4 years of development time. They were literally making it at the same time as RE2 remake. The reason it turned out so bad is probably due to capcom management not really caring about the original.
Not having a option for Jill to go to the rpd ruined it for me. The lack of Nemesis stopped me replaying as well. And the ice grenades, & the clock tower :-/
Only director cut still cannot save the damn demake It needs to be fixed, overhauled, changed the whole routine of Jill and Carlos RPA. Change Nemesis routines Literally doing the whole work again not just director cut
They cut out 90% of the game, designed nemesis like shit and made Jill a B. Great remake 10/10. Only good thing was the gameplay mechanics Even resident evil 2 looking at it was half assed. Both stories were the same and instead of allowing you (in both games) to explore more of the city they made it so condensed. These remakes should have been made to expand it. Resident 2 remake wasn’t bad it was a good step but looking at both objectively they fall super short compared to the resident evil 1 remake
If you overcook a steak to the point it turns to coal, adding more salt and butter won't fix it. You throw it in the trash, and cook another steak. End of story.
For those who have already purchased re3 remake on pc on steam should get the director cut for free if it fixes the re3 remake by putting back cut content like the clock tower.
You’re not entitled to someone else’s labor. You’re also lacking any authority to just alter the deal of purchasing a video game. Go get a job. Thanks.
It’s never to late for a directors cut but the city would have to be a bigger world and the game would need to be a lot less linear. 3 remake needs at least five hours more worth of exploration. It didn’t deserve to be released the way it was.
RE3 Remake is certainly flawed and it is a disappointment but I still very much like the game. Every time I play it again, I'm surprised by how fun I find it. Do I wish there was an extra couple of areas, a mercenary mode, and some variation like the choice system to add a bit to the replay ability, yes, for sure but I still think it's fun. It is the worst of all the remakes IMO but that doesn't make it bad IMO.
RE2 Remake removed a bunch of content. It just got away with it because the OG was a beefier game to begin with, having Mr. X chase you was novel, and many players of the OG missed out on scenario B. I don't know a single person who went through the A/B scenarios that didn't bemoan the removal of the zapping system. It's nice that they added new scenarios, but the main game only represents 40-50% of the original.
@chadmcquade3075 Oh, it was great. It just would've been better had they retained that feature. you barely feel the presence of the other character. Plus, the story would've made more sense. Like, why does Chief Irons want the pendant? The G sample isn't even in the thing in this version. Ada and the Dr both die twice as a result of folding down the scenarios, except now the first time is a fake out. How does Leon retreive the G sample? Oh it's just unlocked for him for no reason. I know these things are relatively minor and don't ruin the game by any means, but it does make it seem like the A/B thing was abandoned mid development.
While i still think it's an enjoyable game overall, i was extremely disappointed with this R3make. As a fan of Raccoon City in particular, the cut locations was unforgivable. I was so mad about that i refused to buy RE4R until months later on sale. And while i concede they did a pretty good job of it, it just makes me more bitter that RE3 got shafted so hard and that THAT is the RE3 remake we are stuck with. Still, if they did like an apology edition or dlc etc that finally did the game justice, I'd probably find it hard to pass up.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but I'm left wanting another re-do of it... I'd like a remake with enhanced locations from the original. The remake we got feels like a different game... and while that isn't bad, again, I feel it largely missed the mark.
I took a day off of work PTO and paid $60 for RE3R and beat the game in about 4.5 hours in a single sitting (prob should’ve been longer but I played the demo which turned out to be like a fourth of the game) I never felt more ripped off in my life. F that soulless multiplayer game they tossed in as collateral, Jill’s playthrough was about as long as Claire or Leon scenario A by itself. No Mercenaries modes, no ghost survivor modes with the soldiers, only a couple costumes for Jill and a laughable hair swap for Carlos (compare that to how many costumes Leon and Claire had combined or hell compared to RE3 original). What a freaking joke of a $60 game compared to the content RE2R had.
It’s not too late, but it should be no more than a $10 add on at this point. Considering it should’ve all been there to begin with, it should be free. Especially after two or three years. If they do make it, should include everything you’ve mentioned. It shouldn’t be that hard to accomplish this. At least I hope not.
Good luck with that. 😂 Capcom still sells her classic costume for $3 and price never drops, even on sale. You can buy entire game for $7.5 now but something that should have been unlockable costume still costs $3
@@theguyfromwalgreens I think Capcom needs to include the classic OG RE3 music and even for mercenaries mode add Leon, Claire, Jill, Chris, Carlos, Barry, Billy, Rebecca, Wesker, Ada, Ark, and HUNK in there.
a director's cut? Not since, what? 97-98? It would be an admittance of shortcomings, it would be disrespectful to their own development team, they're not going to do it..I still can't believe they cut the train car fight, the gravedigger, the clock tower, the park, the mercenaries, AND the dead factory, out of what was already a pretty short game...that's insanity..that's basically every proprietary and iconic thing from Biohazard 3.. all to just throw in another, generic, hive lab section at the end..if the leaks had said this ahead of time, I would have never believed it, how could you? I would have called you crazy.
The lack of the park hurt. The lack of the dead facility hurt. The lack of the clocktower hurt. But the lack of the enormous, sprawling city and the backtracking while knowing that one of the only other things in the town that was alive was hunting you and designed by Umbrella to be your personal execution is something that I cannot get over. In the original, the game started in the morning AFTER the chaos had taken over the city. There was this unsettling silence as everyone was literally dead and you could only witness the devastation that took place the night before. That silence was the backdrop of the entire game's atmosphere and the knowledge that Nemesis was out there... just hunting you. After Brad was dispatched, it was literally just you and that THING alone in an entire city and it FELT that way. The remake introduced survivors WAY too early as well and stepped all over the titanic vibe of being the only living person in a city of death. The RE3 remake felt like a high-budget action film and is pretty much an entirely different game in every way. I don't think there's a single area that has a 1:1 resemblance.
its about to be 5 years since the game released. no harm in dropping a 'directors cut' i guess. i know there's issues with backtracking, puzzles, and questionable decisions about jills character/style that probably can't be solved, but if they could at least add the clock tower, the park, and fix jills skirt (lol)... its a salvageable remake? i say this as someone who enjoyed it too. throw in some extra costumes too why not.
As a game it was a 6/10 stop lying to the people. It was on rails and they turned Nemesis into a joke. In the original, he at least killed one STARS member. In the remake, he is a complete failure. You have an ENTIRE city to work with, and that is the best they could do? No, it wasn't great.
Honestly this entry always baffled me why they made it this way. Sure the OG was originally going to be just an expansion pack but they decided to slap 3 on it to get out of a contract they were under at the time, but this was a remake. This was an opportunity to expand on it and make Nemesis even more terrifying than before, but instead they cut a bunch of content and watered him down to a scripted annoyance. While a directors cut could potentially be good, I doubt such a thing exists with as rushed out as the game was and considering where we are now with game releases I doubt it will ever happen.
As a remake that Capcom claimed they were doing “For the fans” they missed the mark heavy on RE3 it felt very rushed which wasn’t fair considering they slapped the game with a $60 price tags it didn’t live up to a proper remake or even passion project to the same degree as RE2 and 4 remakes, They NEED to do a directors cut to give the fans the Raccoon City experience we deserve especially since they use Raccoon city as a staple event in EVERY RE game after
It's not late. We all want to see Nemesis in his full potential. We all want to enjoy a more complete and satisfying game with more puzzles, action, and moments that enrich the game. Its never late for improvement, if they can do it, they should in fact do it, and i'll play it. The community should work together in order to improve the legacy of RE3 and make it a more enjoyable game, instead of replaying R2MAKE and REmaster over and over again, fans of RE3 exist and deserve a definitive experience.
@@detroitlionsforever1 the thing is, i believe that R3MAKE was already done by a team that was not the main, so i don't know if that was the only thing that led to worse results. But could be. by the info we have it was a mix of many things that went wrong. the assumption that the game should be cleared in a short amount of time for replayability (that's not a real factor though, as games in the series take 8+ hours for people not accostumed to it to beat and "pros" still beat it in a couple hours) so they cut content and simplify game sections. should only be action oriented (also not a real factor as puzzles add breather moments and are enjoyable to crack and dont subtract from the action segments while enriching the map and giving more exploration sections, backtraking, horror, things that made RE what it is). having a short development time to deliver, 1 year after R2MAKE, to bank on its success (also not a real thing, as RE fans love the series and genre it pioneered and would still ride with it, but for casuals it doesn't matter as nowadays everyone plays the game that is popular even if they don't know the franchise just of fear of missing out) and maybe having at least 1 more year to develop would still have the game be too "different" from the original as they had already in mind that the game should be quick and simple to begin with. maybe the game could get a massive update, maybe it should be re-done, we don't know for sure how to save this product. but i would say just do a Remaster of RE2 and RE3 like the RE1 remaster and all would be fine, id love that.
Having the park sequence in RE3 remake would have likely improved the reception substantially. Having zombies/monsters popping out of bushes and dropping out of trees would have changed things up from the predictable pacing of the the rest of the game.
Honestly, if they just added ONE of the missing sections, it would really flush out the experience. Ideally the Clock Tower, but i'll take the park or cemetary without complaint... I can only cope and hope lol. I still enjoyed the game for what it was. I just wanted... more. Which in the end is a compliment to what was there. If it wasn't riding on the expectations of the OG, then it probably would have been adored.
I feel like we should have gotten a scene at the end where everything went down on Umbrella in court and see a foreshadowing of Re4, Re5, Re6, and to sum it all up.
When the RE3 Remake Came out I played through the Original 100% B4 playing the Remake & was disappointed in the Remake. Its missing so Much Content. I believe a Directors Cut could add the cut content & change some of the more scripted feeling parts of the game & could overall improve it greatly. So better late then never I say.
Aside from the cut content, (including the cemetery by the way). There is another aspect of the game a lot of people mis in comparing the original from the remake. The game's flow changes if you choose to get 1 key item first instead of the other one. If you go to the cafe first, Nemesis shows up there instead of the newspaper office and vice versa. Changing your choices in the quick time events also changed where you end up at times. If you leave the cafe, Nemesis chases you in the city. If you kill Nemesis in either the cafe or the newspaper offices, there's a different cutscene. Which floor in the hospital you go to first to get which component of the vaccine also changes the cutscenes. There's a lot of different combination of events and how it can sometimes change your routes. There's a lot of replayability in the original that's missing. You have to keep playing the game to get different scenarios. Edit: I thought he wouldn't mention the branching out of possible scenarios. Good that you mentioned it.
When I think of RE3 original, I think of the city aspect of that game we kinda saw in the remake, but was really toned down. They should’ve opened up the city more and also NOT remove the clock tower section. They also had two boss fights with nemesis that felt the same.
They removed the Gravedigger boss. That entire section was gone and it felt like the whole of the hospital section as well as the park was gone. I think the entire game consisted of two streets and then the credits rolled.
This remake is total dog shit, i finnished the original more than 20 times, and the best thing about it its that you had a large space to explore and play, the remake feels smaller that RE2, jill turned into a girl boss, its just bad, it was cleary rushed and they ruined nemesis, man this remake is just sour in the mouth, RE2 was so amazing
-Add Jill exploring RPD after demolition site fight -Add explorable Downtown after RPD with Jill -Replace Carlos segment in the RPD for the City Hall -Add the Clocktower and replace the licker Nemesis battle in the plaza with a new one -Replace the L. Hawk by a Mag Revolver
this wasn't a remake, it was a re imagining and not a good one, how bare bones it was is ridiculous, re3 is probably one of the best originals and the remake needed to be 3rd person version of that
I would totally like to see a Director's Cut, because pound for pound, of what we did get, was some seriously high-quality stuff - the problem was that there simply wasn't enough of it. It's like paying for a super-expensive bit of food that's just as tasty as you'd hoped, but is only snack sized. With that, I get the feeling that the game was as short as it was because they had a lot less time to develop it than the RE2 or RE4 remakes, as RE3R had to be released only a year after its predecessor.
It’s too late. They missed their chance since RE2 remake for not making a DLC on how Ada survived Raccoon City. Yes, I know it was explained in The Umbrella Chronicles. But I wanna see it in the remake. So, I’m pretty sure they’re not going back to rework on RE3 remake. Let’s wait for another 20 years for RE3 Remake Remake.
they are never touching Outbreak, so much potential in the trash burning since they prefer you suffer in mainline MC fatigue than actually trying something new
@@ramlethalvalentinedestroye1784 nope. They won’t rework on something that’s 4-5 years old other than porting it to iPhone and mac. the only way for them to get a lot of money from RE franchise is porting RE4 Remake to every gaming devices possible
They can add: Escape Jill's Apartment - 20min Parking Garage (or Clock Tower) - 20min Derailed Train (Subway to Upperground) 20min Also a choice same in OG3 like "Fight or Escape the Monster"
It's a shame in RE3 Jill couldn't explore RPD station, like seeing the STARS group photo of how much she will miss and reminiscence with Chris, Barry, Rebecca, etc. Then after puzzle solved and everything, that's when Nemesis would showed up then stalk or hunt Jill in a dark hallways.
It's a pity that Capcom didn't release modding tools for this game. All you would really need to add back in is the park and clock tower, and have them be more puzzle focused.
So sad that RE3 fans were the only ones that didnt get a good remake. RE2 still can be argued and has a lot of fun and improvments over the original, RE4 didnt try to substitute and was his own thing and RE1 its just amazing. But 3... so sad...
Another location they removed was the Dead Factory at the end of the og game. A place where failed experiments/people were sent to be disposed of. Instead, what did we get? Another generic lab that felt like a retread of the one from 2make that was copy and pasted.
It was the least popular remake. People want to say because the original was not originally supposed to be a full mainline game. I disagree that reasoning though. CAPCOM was on the high of REmakes and cut corners. If they added in the content they should have, it would’ve sold better. If they try and release a directors cut now they would have to keep the upgrade path cheap $5-10. It might bring people back and increase sales on a directors cut version.

But they didnt cared since they tought: dont worry we release REvillage and RE4R so they will forget about the failure of RE3R and we could focus for RE5R and stuff.
Maybe they saw how well 2 did, and with 3 tried to see how low they could set the bar- it backfired, so they put the quality back up for 4.
Honestly a directors cut wouldn't fix all the problems the game has. Just remake it again
A remake of a remake? 😳
That's a remake that just came out in console years.
I would say just remaster the graphics & dont change anything else 🤣🤣🤣 even the voice data dont change them 😂 i dont trust them anymore
A rerelease of a remake
@@lilMissF0F0 Either remake the game from ground up or let it be. There's no point in making a director's cut that wouldn't satisfy anyone. As I said, even if a lot of people didn't like the 3 remake there's still a vocal fanbase around the game
This game can't have a director's cut. It was made wrong from the beginning. It would need to be remade again.
That’s a shame, yet true.
It was not made wrong, given it's short but it is by far the most enjoyable Biohazard game, with the exception of the 1996 original.
No. DLC explain how Nikolai and Ada escape before the city were wipe out of map
@@lucascoronel5812 Do you like Resi 3 remake?
@@qwanathomas735 idk many people who actually liked this piece of trash.
More like reuse 99% of the content
That was probably my biggest disappointment with RE2make - the B scenario was just the A scenario with slightly different item and enemy placements.
Second run was literally added last minute to appease people who were complaining about the lack of A/B scenarios.
You fixed the zapping system between A and B scenario. Yeah, I hate they chopped it out.
sorry but leave 2 remake alone
The lack of city exploration was the huge missed opportunity. Ever sin e re3nemesis i wanted to explore ALL of Racoon. Not just a couple city blocks on a railroaded express. I wanted a choose your own adventure like the origonal whwre critical choices lead to what happened next. Instead we got a railroad shooter...
Play Outbreak
I don't like most open world games, but an open world or even sandbox Raccoon City during the outbreak would be actually amazing! There are enough side characters, small environmental stories and such to make a really compelling game in that genre. Plus, there are plenty of in-lore ways to keep players out of other major story areas like the RPD while those stories are happening to avoid major plotholes.
something like silent hill 2 remake town exploration
I would've loved to visit the locations from the Outbreak games in RE3R, like the Raccoon City Zoo.
Perfect RE3 recipe (in that order) :
- Lower town
- RCPD
- Upper town
- Raccoon subway (à la RE Outbreak)
- Saint-Michael's Clocktower
- Raccoon Hospital
- Raccoon Suburbs
- Raccoon Zoo (optional)
- Raccoon University
- Raccoon Park + cemetary
- Chemical Plant
A 16 hours game, and a huge hit.
Are you seriously suggesting they put content in their game.
@@stevendee6800 lol

I actually really wanted to see the umbrella mercenaries vs the tyrants in the remake and see what actually happened but we didn't 😢 It could have easily been better than RE2R.
until CV or 1 has been remade
I'm still crying over the Clock Tower... it was my favorite area from RE3
That atmosphere... what a waste.
Wow this is probably the best description I’ve seen of RE3R lol i concur.
Capcom keeps doing Jill dirty.
And the CG movie was more respected lol

From the 3 remake they cut so much and lied about the city being open. They should’ve not cut anything and added on to it.
The reason being: They dropped the ball on 3make, this "Director's Cut" content was supposed to be in the game from the start!
they're going to weasel out of it by telling us they gave us a second game thrown in as Project Resistance-- it was also so bad
I was literally expecting resistance to be a continuation of Outbreak, boy was I so wrong, their mechanics are so bad
yeah that's not how economics work, dude...
3R was a cash grab.. It never got the 2R and 4R Treatment.
It`s a shame how beautiful and great the technology of 3D is at today compared
to our childhood Resident Evils compared to the Remakes

@@_Circus_Clapped_ I have brother. Outbreak file 1 n 2 are amazing. They should find a way to remake those as well
I agree, RE3 was the best
I'd love a director's cut, that game needs it more than RE2R
Capcom buried the fans alive
As normal the Code Veronica save room music is such a gem as background music, its such a awesome piece of music and a tearjerker!
so after they remade 4 , they looked back at 3 remake and they were like : "yeah let's re remake this game"
I think Capcom would absolutely make fans go insane by reworking RE3. A director's cut would be fucking amazing ans it would revive this game for months.
The only thing I can think of is to make those cut areas -Optional locations:
A) Uptown and Downtown
B) An all-new midtown
C) Jill's version of visiting the RPD
D) Clocktower
E) Enlarged Park Area
This way the Remake can still be its own thing, but these areas can be accessed as a sort of bonus for the curious.
Only director cut still cannot save the damn demake
It needs to be fixed, overhauled, changed the whole routine of Jill and Carlos RPA. Change Nemesis routines
Literally doing the whole work again not just director cut
They cut out 90% of the game, designed nemesis like shit and made Jill a B. Great remake 10/10. Only good thing was the gameplay mechanics
Even resident evil 2 looking at it was half assed.
Resident Evil 3 Remake never existed. Moving on.
I would happily pay for Story expansion and some extra modes. The game is great, but its a little too short.
@@captainjaber5610 I think a directors cut should be in the Game plus mode.

The re2 remake didn't vary It was loved by almost every single re player. Re3 was the one that ppl were mixed on
RE2R was awesome. It had missing enemies & a flawed zap system too.
@@alexh2790 2 was a masterpiece to me an i played the og so many times i lost count
If they remake re3 again i will actually glaze capcom for the rest of my life
While i still think it's an enjoyable game overall, i was extremely disappointed with this R3make.
I took a day off of work PTO and paid $60 for RE3R and beat the game in about 4.5 hours in a single sitting (prob should’ve been longer but I played the demo which turned out to be like a fourth of the game)
I never felt more ripped off in my life.
Capcom reading that: 😂 not only does he want a directors cut, he wants it for 10$.
Then I imagine them laughing.
They cut A LOT of content from an already short original game
And the new nemesis design.
How could they mess this up so badly
a director's cut?
RE3 Remake was one of the biggest gaming sins of all time...
A directors cut is definitely needed. It's too much left on the floor here.

As a game it was a 6/10 stop lying to the people. It was on rails and they turned Nemesis into a joke. In the original, he at least killed one STARS member. In the remake, he is a complete failure. You have an ENTIRE city to work with, and that is the best they could do? No, it wasn't great.
yuck
People speed running this game in less than an hour is just proof how dirty capcom treated the og masterpiece
I'd rather have a proper version of RE3 then another remake
Another team should take the helm. But I don't think that's going to happen.
Naah too late ! we need all of em remaked ( RE0, 1, Code Veronica, O.R.C and then RE5 and 6...etc) so we can enjoy 'em again
I really don’t think the devs realize how disappointed us fans are at the re3 remake.
They definitely dropped the ball on RE3 Remake. Id also like to see RE2 in VR.
They should have DLC where when Jill gets infected and becomes unconscious she has a dream of the clocktower level.
Honestly I think re3 needs a new remake.
I find it funny that the peak of the game was the demo
When the RE3 Remake Came out I played through the Original 100% B4 playing the Remake & was disappointed in the Remake. Its missing so Much Content. I believe a Directors Cut could add the cut content & change some of the more scripted feeling parts of the game & could overall improve it greatly. So better late then never I say.
RE3 remake takes longer to finish than the OG. Never understood the hate for it TBH 🤷♂️
-Add Jill exploring RPD after demolition site fight
-Add explorable Downtown after RPD with Jill
-Replace Carlos segment in the RPD for the City Hall
-Add the Clocktower and replace the licker Nemesis battle in the plaza with a new one
-Replace the L. Hawk by a Mag Revolver
I would at least like an update to add Mercenaries considering that was a mode that RE3 introduced (similar modes were in 1 and 2 OGs though)
The OG is my favorite in the series and they did it dirty with this remake. I really, really wish they would fix this
Silent hill 2 is laughing
Re 2 remake and Re4 Remakz are better than Silent Hill 2 remake.
this wasn't a remake, it was a re imagining and not a good one, how bare bones it was is ridiculous, re3 is probably one of the best originals and the remake needed to be 3rd person version of that
I wish they make a RE3 Director Cut.... With Nemesis original look and things like that... But little hope here!

@@ramlethalvalentinedestroye1784 nope. They won’t rework on something that’s 4-5 years old other than porting it to iPhone and mac. the only way for them to get a lot of money from RE franchise is porting RE4 Remake to every gaming devices possible

Derailed Train (Subway to Upperground) 20min
Also a choice same in OG3 like "Fight or Escape the Monster"
I just want to them to make a RE5 remake just to shove it to that 1 ign reporter saying they can’t remake re5 because it’s racist if they do
A complete overhaul is what it needs.
They definitely dropped the ball on this remake but I’ve read that they aren’t going to do anything with re3 anymore it’s done with.
So you mean to tell us, this is a 10 minute video about nothing, and "Director's Cut" was never even a thought in Capcoms head.
Just mentions all the grievances with the original game and says “It doesn’t look like anything will be done about it”. 😑
Director's cut, director's butt. I want another remake.
But 3... so sad...
Resident Evil 2, fist please. Fix that unfinished game.
Another location they removed was the Dead Factory at the end of the og game. A place where failed experiments/people were sent to be disposed of. Instead, what did we get? Another generic lab that felt like a retread of the one from 2make that was copy and pasted.
Director's Cut refers to the deep throat cut to our hopes for a good remake.
It might bring people back and increase sales on a directors cut version.
those who dont know... they currently work on re 9, code name veronica remake and resident evil 0. there is no plans for re 5 remake or re 1 as for now
CV has no info on such. Re5 remake got teased in the re4remake ending and Separate ways remake.
@@mysteryace2129 its already official confirmed veronica and zero in the making
@@zygiskulkulikauskas2862you’ve said that already
I feel like re5r would be both fans' and capcom's least priority
@@Fenrirmolf im surprised they did a re4 remake. I guess they needed to satisfy the other fan base of resident evil lol. Anyways game was still trash atleast to me. 5th will be something i will skip
On the bright side, the reception to RE3 Remake was probably the reason why RE4 Remake stuck as close to the original as possible.
It's true, there aren't any director's cut dlc. Capcom has moving on with their RE9. They couldn't careless whether you like RE3R or not
I don't remember being able to explore in 3 as I was running from Nemesis the whole time...😂😂😂
Not too late they could rejuvenate resonate evil 3 and have it stand with 2 and 4 Put in everything that was missing increase the nemesis stalker time Most of the assets are already there and watch the money roll in easy cash for capcom
Name it nemesis edition you good
Outbreak is older than the remake yet it has better gameplay and story, and you can emulate it to play with friends mobile and PC imagine that
