I used to work in Fook Hai Building. On 4 June 1988, there was a robbery in Fook Hai Building. I think 3 Filipinos robbed a money changer on Level 1. I was coming up from the basement and was carrying some heavy stuff and I was looking down at the steps. As I reached the top, I saw a man looking at me. I turned around to walk towards the lift. I noticed the lobby was unusually quiet and some uncles were hiding behind potted plants. They looked at me with a strange look. As I reached them, they said there was a robbery going on! I had just walked past the robbers and was within 5 m from them. Phew! As they escaped, they fired a shot and it was loud! All the uncles who were hiding and observing from a distance ran away. It was hilarious. I could not run far as I was still carrying the stuff. According to newspaper reports, they got away in a getaway car and unfortunately for them, a off-duty policeman was nearby. Mr Madhavan fired a shot into the car and one of them was injured. Not sure if he died. The police combed the area and found the abandoned car in Fort Canning with blood stains inside. The criminals were later arrested. Mr Madhavan was promoted and received the The Pingat Polis Keberanian (English: Police Medal of Valour) If you interview him, I would like to come along. The last time I passed by Fook Hai Building, the money changer shop is now a Seven Eleven.

Boon Lay is 15-min walk from where I'm staying, limpeh's turf ok! 蔣志光 was the shadow member of the once-famous Radias band group (actually just 2 pax) in the 80s. He wasn't officially in the group cos he had a contract with another company at that time (Polygram). I thought u guys will intro Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak cos it is the most famous stall in this hawker centre. Savoy cinema (四海戏院) is rumoured to be haunted since ages ago, whether u believe or not is another issue. When uncle says 3rd floor is for "playing", I thought he was referring to the massage parlours there, Oops! And yes, there are many foreign workers in this area, so a variety of their shops n "wet markets" can be found here.

讲到猫 我住的地方（Woodgrove地带）那里就有蛮多猫如果知道几点的时候去。我的Block 3～4只，周围的话几个Block下来总共有 我家那里的1只黑混花色，1只乳牛黑白色，1只摸不得会应激的头上一抹黑的白猫，1只短胖穿着白袜子的黑猫，再偶尔会看到从一楼家里窗户溜出来的灰白乳色并1只眼睛白内障的猫。 周围几座组屋的就有2只白混花色（1胖1瘦），1只爱揍其他猫抢食物但亲人的流氓橘猫，1只刚被人遗弃的白猫，两只被人放养的猫（燕尾服黑白色长毛和黑色长毛），1只黑色本土短毛还有一只挑食又有时粘人有时一摸就开揍的灰猫。 住附近的老Uncle讲以前还多到有二三十只，但我觉得目前来看已经很多只了 🤣
