If your parents are over 50 years old, they may remember in the past, chee cheong fun was very different from what it is today. The hawker could use her hand to hold it and with the other, used a pair of scissors to cut it. Then, she pour cooked oil, soy sauce, red-coloured sweet sauce, orange-coloured chilli sauce and finally sprinkled sesame seeds on it. Some had dried shrimps and spring onion enbedded into it. You could pick them up piece by piece with a pair of toothpicks.

新年快乐， 金融大厦是我跟朋友常去的地方。 我们都是素食者， 金融大厦有我们爱吃的素食。 那里有一间日本餐馆卖的好像也是素的， 还有，你们可以试试看那间卖兴化素食的白米粉。 统一素食还有其它的素面，素米粉。 你们看到的那个黄色的包装是90 gm。 是吃得比较有饱足感的， 其它的分量比较少，我还需要煮两包才会饱。
我买了统一米粉回家试试 。 对份量好像确实没很大。新年快乐哟！ 🐲💰

我們 (in Mandarin) - 我地 (in Cantonese)
點餐 - 叫野/落order
甚麼鬼 - 咩野
(觸摸感覺)燙 - 熱/辣手
It is rare to see young Singaporeans speak Cantonese now. Cantonese is an interesting and beautiful language. Keep it up!

According to SFA regulations, eateries with dine-in must have toilets in their premises unless the eatery is contained in a building with public toilets. In this case, this seems to be a breach of SFA regulations since the management of the Fortune Centre barred the public from using the toilets from L2 and above??
Hmmm.. But L1 got public toilet. Unless it states 'contained in a building with public toilets ON EVERY FLOOR', then maybe no breach. Not too sure TBH!

I worked in this building for a year, and you captured its spirit very well.
Lately it is getting more gentrified with fancier restaurants.
There is a "hidden" sake bar on L2 which looks like a vending machine from front. You can see it next time!
The toilets are really the most unwelcoming part here. I used to go to OG Albert sometimes just to avoid them!
Yes we saw the Ume San bar, but not really feeling up for it that day.

This mall has Singapore’s worst rated Tim Sum restaurant on the ground floor. There is a La La beehoon restaurant who said their bad ratings on the web is a sabotage by their competitor. There is also a Japanese vegetarian restaurant and Singapore most atas Turkish restaurant all on the ground floor. Yes the most disgusting thing about this mall is not the massage parlours with aunties that look like your grandmothers but the locked toilets.
