I work in Raffles Place but don’t like to walk through the first floor of Arcade as your clothes will smell after that. Never knew Gandhi’s ashes were scattered in Clifford Pier. Merlion used to be at the pier and there were shops at the bridge that sold items brought from the sailors such as sailor caps and USSR watches. There were also a chicken rice stall and a rotating restaurant at the pier before they turned it into a hotel.
I image Clifford pier would have been really vibrant!

I used to eat the pig trotters bee hoon every single work day when I worked in Raffles Place. Obviously, I ballooned in weight. I do miss working in Raffles Place sometimes.

Allow me to make a suggestion. Once the old mall series is over, u can consider doing old hawker centres. I realised there are MANY MANY old hawker centres that i hardly heard of, have great food and charges one of the lowest prices, importantly, the 人情味很浓
