    This was great but I do have to dispute one thing. The show did not make Davy the front man in fact there wasn't one. It was never Davy Jones and The Monkees it's just The Monkees. Every one had their solos.

    To be brutally honest, I hated the Seekers in the 60s. They were so "square" as we used to say back then, but always seemed to be somewhere around the top of the charts. I never knew any of their followers although I'm sure there must have been a lot of closet fans that I did know, just that they were probably too embarrassed to admit it. 🤐😂

    I know it's difficult to make these kind of documentaries because of TH-cam's copyright police. But, even by the standards of "shove a load of random found images which rarely have anything to do with the commentry on top of a 1970s supermarket soundtrack" that was a pretty lame effort.

    They came for a riding lesson at breezemount riding school in ireland. I remember telling them they had the wrong footwear on to ride horses. I had no interest and nobody believed i didnt ask for an autograph. I was in love with david cassidy.

    Seems like he was tested pretty poorly by Roger Waters circa late 70’s. Funny though that he was actually made money as a hired sideman on the Wall tour while the rest of the band lost money on that outing

    His keyboard work on the 70's albums is largely why I play synths today. His synth solo on Dogs is a masterpiece, how he was able to evoke so much emotion and atmosphere out of an electric keyboard instrument. It goes for all his playing. He seemed a lovely man as well. RIP.
