I find it so refreshing that I’m hearing about singers who I’ve never encountered before, hearing these rich life stories. Meaningful, lovely life story. Just goes to show how wide and varied the music world is, far beyond the US market. Thank you my friend!

Thank you my Deidre 🤗 Yes I love learning about them too. Every artist, from a one-hit wonder to a seasoned musician, deserves recognition and their star to shine bright 💫🌟

Same here (in a way ) .I'm hearing of singers who I was (vaguely ) aware of (I'm 68) but had no real idea how good /accomplished they were.

The Breakaways and the Ladybirds contributed to many hits in the sixties as backup singers.

I remember seeing Vicki and Joe at Carnforth railway station in 1983. They were attending Flying Scotsman's 60th birthday celebration's.
American film star Ray Milland was also there.

I remember her marrying Joe Brown. So sad she passed away so young.

I have never heard of her, but I have heard of Joe Brown. So she left Merseyside before Brian Epstein's stable of talent. As for Tommy, I saw it, and I was not moved. Ken Russell did better movies. She was stunning. Other artists I recommend are Al Wilson, Phil Seymour, Sterling Morrison, Darby Crash, Sergio Mendes, and Lux Interior.

I first came across Vicki singing Jesu joy of man's desiring on TH-cam as I had sang the same piece as a schoolboy soprano and found it while doing a search. Subsequently I have heard some of her other works and sat down blubbing while listening to her beautiful voice. Needless to say , I do remember bach in the Vernon girls days. As you may guess, I'm now cracking on a bit. I've been following Joe for many years. The whole family are accomplished musicians. I've seen Pete and Sam also. Got bless you all, you've given many years of joyful entertainment.
