Carley was badass Lowkey
1:59 actually clementine’s parents were in Savannah.
You should do Lilly next
I hope you do a video about Louis, he's such a cinnamon roll
Luke's death, Omid's and especially Lee hurts so bad
No one in this series has ever been completely innocent, good video tho.
Bonnie is awful but there is a lot of chars i dislike more
He literally gave up the twins, kept hitting Brody when she confronted him about it in the basement (you could hear it from the revealed voice lines from when they were arguing) and then he killed Brody, tried to pin it on clem and kill her in front of her 5 year old 'son' AJ 😭
Ill genuinely never not be mad abt the fact that they switched him and Jane in the storyline, because Luke vs Kenny had been set up the entireee game and Luke actually was like family to Clementine whereas Jane just constantly displayed how much she wanted to leave and dgaf abt the group or her. It just irks me so bad that they killed him off in that lazy ahh scene and then forgot about him when he was such a genuinely great character that cared for Clem, also the decision in the end would be 1000x harder and more impactful if it was a choice between Kenny and Luke </3
I think what's most interesting about him is that he's a kid with the world on his shoulders trying to help the entirety of a group survive with no true experience, no real ideas, and he still somehow manages to do it for a little while. Makes more mistakes than needed, is threatened by adults, has to make tough decisions that are bigger than him, and he's also incredibly damaged and temperamental due to the stress of what the world is and has become (evidenced by how Brody says he gets scared and angry). He does plenty wrong. But he was also a coward that didn't really know how to handle things because he was just a scared kid forced into keeping others safe. SIDE NOTE, I'm just gonna say, Ray Chase (his VA) sells me HARD on that element of his character too, and I love it to pieces.
Can you do carols from TWDTT s2 next?
th-cam.com/video/D2GQabNALH0/w-d-xo.html watch this video, basically explain his character along with sarahs
I disagree he’s useless him being alive was hurting the group alone
That’s the whole point of his character. He was a kid who got caught up in the apocalypse. He didn’t adapt to it and didn’t even try and train himself so he made drastic mistakes along the way which got people killed.
@ Yh so idk why people like his character nobody would want him in your group I would leave him for dead if I get the chance
Realistic? That's a weird person then
I was just hoping for him to be a romance option back then
I wouldn't say he did nothing wrong, but he was absolutely far from a villain. I really understood him, and empathized with this kid who's way in over his head trying to protect the rest. Without Clementine they never would have stood a chance against the bandits. And even with her, they faced heavy casualties. My only real issue was that the game treated it as a given that you'd despise Marlon even though I didn't.
Thank you! I like Ben. He wanted to do his best but he was incompitant. I liked him because he tried, he did his best.
Here let me speed run this for you guys he's a christian man God has his back
Hitting the knee was a very cool combat adaption against the walker. A knee kick will even mess up a person very violently
She was a very cool character, a lone wolf who is afraid to lose people she loves. She’s afraid to lose her loved ones which is why she stays alone. She doesn’t want to open up to others because she can’t go thru grief again
I LOVE MARLON
I think Malon did wrong, so wrong, but he was a kid, he was a scared kid trying to kept his family safe, he did what he thought was right for the rest, even if it wasn't the best, obviously, he did what he could for his family ((such a bad English, I'm sorry))
Oh wow! I never put that Clem/Dee parallel together. That’s really interesting!
Marlon is somewhat like Ben. Both did things to get the enemy off their backs and ended up getting someone killed. However, the difference is that Ben was still relatively new to the whole situation while Marlon had some time to adapt to it
There is nothing to understands about David except he was very selfish who abandoned his own family just to be apart of a military.
Nick dies 2 ways, I punched Walter in the face when he let Nick it eaten at the ski lodge instead of saving him.
This whole thing is rage bait
I totally agree! Marlon is such a underrated and overrated character…I wish he had lived a little longer so we could know more about him and his actions
Honestly, I'd rather take Larry than her
I don’t think the interpretation of this video should be LITERALLY nothing wrong lmfao his actions were wrong but he is understandable, he is a teenager in some ridiculous circumstance and reacted quickly the best way he knew how and tried to keep his school stable, scared, coward. troubled teenage boy who did some f*cked sh*t
400 days will forever be my favorite piece of walking dead media
I absolutely understood Marlon's rationale; it's like the train track dilemma. You're a kid going up against a militant faction of armed-to-the-teeth grown ass adults. Even before he completely breaks down he explains it as sacrificing a couple to save everyone. In that situation, it was either cut off 2 people to save 10 other people. Or stand up to, again, an armed militant faction and lose everyone including yourself. Starting off being a community leader of about 50 or so children *as* a child, then watching about 30 or more of the kids you grew up and stuck it out with die around you over less than a decade absolutely fucks with a psyche. By the time 401 rolls around, the remaining Ericson kids are already doing relatively unwell. Even when you ignore the relationship issues. They're bordering on starvation and were about to get dropped on by raiders any day without knowing it. Nobody's saying Marlon was in the right for freaking out and killing Brody, or panicking and blaming the outsider for his crime, or that he's a 'tragic hero' for expending Minnie and Sophie to save everyone else. But this whole *"He's a leader! Leaders don't give up! Fight back!"* mentality barely works when the "leader" in question is the defacto kid raising over a dozen *other* kids for about like 8 years. Taking care of kids who, mind you, are sheltered relatively off in the woods and have not had to fight like characters such as Clementine or other more nomadic groups. These kids have never had to flee the place they started the apocalypse in. They can trap, hunt and fortify. But defend against people is something they don't know. The vast majority of 402 is Clementine preparing these kids for something they are *not* ready for: human-on-human combat. An actual battle. We played first hand how Clementine preparing the kids for the first fight in 402 went. And even then we lost Omar, Aasim and either Vi/Lou. And in casualties we lost Mitch. That was a FOUR person lost with *Clementine's* guidance (put aside we get 3 back for now, that's 3 kidnapped and 1 dead). The only reason those kids even pulled out with those numbers is because of Clementine and her survival knowledge. The fact that she has not been stationary as long as them; the fact that she's been extremely nomad and exposed is what gave them those numbers. If you put Marlon in, give him the same mission as Clementine; let's say he doesn't sacrifice the twins. He, Brody and the twins are gonna have to escape the Delta (if they can dodge and weave semi-autos as okay as Clem & AJ, and even then AJ was still shot), Get back to Ericson's (un-tracked), and warn the others. Then what? Get them ready to battle? With what fucking experience? If Clementine's numbers were 4-10, what do you think Marlon's numbers would be? His best bet is to pick up everyone and get the fuck outta dodge. And even then their odds *still* don't fair that good because like I said--these kids stayed in one spot for about 8 years. Day 1 to now. Like Clem says in 402 "You have no idea what it's fucking like out there.". Marlon isn't a good leader, not entirely. He's really a glorified babysitter, to be real. A kid who had no business spending almost a decade taking care of other kids around his age essentially on his own. You can "lead" a group with "big brother" mentality for only so long, but reality doesn't wait for long and it damn sure proved that taking care of a community, even if they're tight-knit, is hard. I love that they showed different types of leaders in every season of TWDG. Marlon was one of the most interesting ones.
absolutely agree, I kinda wish there was a way to save marlon and help him deal with his past actions, more or less teaching him how to be a leader
Bro all i hear are yo lips smacking 😂😂
Read the title 7:11 ???
“Griffith did nothing wrong” ahh title
Wait... you can save David as well?
the issue was that unlike clem the other kids did not a parental figure/adult guide them through the apocolypse let alone adulthood. plus the fact that clem became a mother to aj for some time before finding the school made clem a lot smarter and more mature/wiser than the others as shown with tenn falling for lily talking about his sisters coaxing him out of cover during the raid. so marlon was never taught/learned how to lead let alone to lead in the zombie apocalypse and just hoped for the best and played his "best" hand despite how bad his hand was. it's not a surprise he cracked and gave up the twins and later crashed out with the gun when he was exposed. clem had already had to deal with raiders betrayal murderers infighting death ect and marlon and the others likely hadn't had to deal with it until however long before clem and aj arrived. marlon didn't have a lee javi kenny or anyone older to serve as a guiding force like clem is to aj or as lee was to her. so in the end he played what he had with his one good ace being inviting the experienced guiding force that was clem to the school. which despite later bad plays actually saved the school and the other kids minus brody and himself. who knows maybe no one would have died if marlon played the ace early instead of sacrificing it.
These comments are actually insufferable, showing Marlon no sympathy at all, and not even trying to see this situation from his perspective. Just goes to show how people are unable to put themselves in a characters shoes when the story intentionally tries to make you dislike that specific character. He gave up the twins but what other choice did he have? Calling him "selfish" or a "coward" is crazy and likely hypocritical because i know for a fact that if most of you were in the same situation, you'd do the same. He was a young teen, what did you expect him to do? Actually fight armed grown ups who likely have fighting experience, so he can potentially get himself and the other children taken or killed? I know that you'd like to think that you'd act differently and you'd actually be the hero who fights back but, that's very unlikely, especially if you are a literal child facing adults with advanced weaponry. This isn't Home Alone bro and Marlon didn't have plot armor or the luxury of the writers making him super courageous and fearless like Clementine did because, he wasn't the main character. Killing that girl with the flashlight was wrong but not intentional and him leaving Clementine there was bad but the situation had already gotten out of control. He was a genuine dude and actually nice but the story treats him like an irredeemable scumbag instead of a young boy who made a mistake. I could be wrong on some things because it's been a while since i played it but i don't remember Marlon being the evil selfish guy that the comments are painting him as. I know most of it has to be the audiences bias towards Clem, but still.
She is even worse than Jane. Jane at least helped us to get rid of ... Jane
I’m not gonna say I don’t think he’s wrong, but I do think it’s unfair how he’s villainized for something that happened when he was a kid going up against adults.
Saying he did NOTHING wrong is kinda crazy but he’s definitely overhated and deserved a redemption arc
Kenny killed Jane and brought Clem and AJ to Wellington and then left to sail out in Florida according to my official headcanon. Every other ending is not good enough for Kenny. Lee, Clem and Kenny are TWD's best characters, and I demand proper writing for them.
I actually think Bonnie is a great character. She's a terrible person, but well-written. She regrets previous life choices, she dislikes being a selfish prick and "failure", but she doesn't have the commitment and strength to actually become better. She tried and failed, over and over again.
I hated arvo slightly more than Bonnie
The real question is.. where is Christa?
Marlon, to me, seems more like the type to sabotage the group to keep himself safe he gave away the twins and claimed it was for the group. He'd keep doing that until he ran out of people
they could never make hate Marlon on the behalf of minerva's whohe existence. Everything else is..cant expect much off of a kid from surprise school for troubled kids
Marlon was kinda forced to be in that situation and he had all that pressure on him thus deciding to do what he did for the betterment of the group in his eyes giving away the twins is better than losing everyone in the process, and he would give away clem and AJ since they are new to the group and are a good leverage especially when they went out the safe zone, now he still did bad stuff giving away the twins and killing Brody whilst also trying to kill Clem but that was all the pressure he had bursting out you gotta remember he was shouldering the weight of the entire group on his shoulders and he's only a teenager like Ben, he's too afraid to start a war and fight he doesn't want to die or lose anyone which does happen at the end when Mitch dies, either way he should have been given a chance to redeem himself shame he went out the way that he did rather than go ballistic
You know what's the saddest thing of them all. The cow!
Marlon had no choice but to give up Sophie and Minerva. Those who are NOT defending his actions, although he lied about it, did he really have any other choice? It was probably that or get EVERYONE taken or possibly even killed. It was a difficult choice to make, and while I doubt anyone else in the group would have made the choice, he made the HARD choice that was most likely for the better of the group. I don't agree that he didn't do anything wrong though. Giving up Sophie and Minerva was indeed wrong, but it was the only plausible choice to make. What he should have done was consult the rest of the group, and not lie about what happened to them. I really wish we got some sort of redemption from him. It was one of the only deaths in the entire 4 seasons that frustrated me.
ngl. I understand your point. But saying he did NOTHING wrong is crazy. And just untrue
