Question , do you have to use the sizing tool on brand new injectors that came preinstaled with seals ? I instaled them out the box and im not sure if the smell of gas is cause i didnt use the sizing tool on it before instaling or the c type retainers that i didnt replace , i closed the gascap and presurized the fuel line to check for leaks i cant see the leak but i can smell gas after 10 sec of checking and its not coming from the one time use lines they are dry and clean
If anyone can chim in wtf could i have done wrong cause for the life of me i can swear that i did everything as he did i replaced all 6 injectors with bosch brand i replaced fuel pressure sensor thats on the rail itself i tightened bolts same as the video i cleaned everything like the video and once i put it all back i got 11 codes 3 of them repeat i got p0122,p0223,p420,p0193 i do smell gas not sure why cause i got them in than connected harness than put rail in and tightened evenly torqed it and all i didnt replace the c type retainers that go around injectors and i didnt replace fuel lines (one time use) didnt see anything wrong with it to spend 200 on so wtf could have i done wrong please anyone
What have you used to clean injector seating i see long wire but i cant make out what it is
I know this video is old but im in process of doing this car is apart and waiting on parts since locals were 2x the online price , question about the pressure linesyou said you reused it which is what i had in mind of doing so i will be ok if i do so im not asking as recomendation but more like confirmation what i was gona do anyway
Is the throtle supposed to open all the way when you hit the gas, mine only goes to 28% for the throttle body, i removed the intake and the buttlerfly flap doesnt open hardly at all
The GDI engines have power and ground from the ECU for each injector. There isn't a single power source to get the current ramps for all injectors like there is on low pressure injectors. You have to amp clamp each injector wire and do the old stare and compare.
Actually you could take one leg from each twisted pair zip tie together and wrap your clamp around all of them You should see all your ramps on one trace then
Great video easy to follow
Or you could take it to a shop with a flow stand. For about $10 an injector, they can clean and test the injectors against each other for both pattern and flow.
YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER THE +/- TOLERANCE OF YOUR METER ALSO THE WIRES YOU ARE USING COULD EFFECT THE ACTUAL VALUE,THE FLACTUATION YOU ARE SEEIN WHEN MOVING THE WIRES CAN EITHER BE THE MOVEMENT OR VOLTAGE GENERATED WHILE MOVEING THE WIRES,,,VERY INTERESTING TNX FOR VIDEO,,,IN SIMPLE TERMS THIS SO CALLED SENSORS ARE NOTHING BUT POTENTIONMETERS,,SAME THING YOU USE TO TURN UP OR DOWN YOUR VOLUME ON RADIO,,,CHANGES RESISTANCE,,WHEN YOU TURN THE KNOB,,,
I have a problem, my Buick ran great for 3 yrs it only has 110,000 miles. I moved nextdoor to a row of halfway houses where I ran into "acquaintances" from my past crime life. Now these so called friends I truly believe took out something like a fuse or from what I've read maybe a solenoid and then offered me money to buy my car cause they both claimed they could fix it no problem. They think I'm stupid and would actually sell it to em for less money and then they pop back in whatever they took out and have a beautifully running car for cheap. What's happening is my car starts fine some days and some days doesn't start. For no reason, it's not the battery because the battery has been fully charged and not fully charged and it starts sometimes still but the next day it won't. Does anyone know if this sounds like a solenoid or fuse that can be taken out where the car will start and run fine sometimes and sometimes not start. If so how do I find which one he took out and how expensive is it for a mechanic to install a solenoid
Old video, i know. But what happens when if when spinning the crank from stage 1 to stage 2 during reassembly, the valve spring tensions causes the crank/chain to rotate past the 8'oclock mark on the oil pump?
Thank you, wear your seat belt.
I got a question does the #1 piston need to be top dead center on phase 1? My friend is rebuilding his 3.6 and wanted to know. Thank you
🔥❤️
I agree. 🙂
Saved me with this info i have a 2009 saturn aura 254,000 miles i tested my secondary air injection pump working great! I dismantled the air valve that goes behind the block of the engine and has plenty of carbon build up
You look high asf on something other than weed

Hey Pauly, just found your channel. Great video, thank you. I have a 2020 Sierra 1500 with the 3.0, and have #3 glow plug circuit open CEL (DTC P0673 and P06C7). I’d like to think I can take out and clean this myself and put back in. 2 questions: what did you clean them with? And does the re-learn for the module have to be done even if you don’t put a new plug in it? Thanks in advance!

Holy thats some crude any tips on preventing this nastiness in the 1st place.
Hi, nice video, was it the in tank fuel pump?
oil?
Do the rear parking sensors on these trucks need to be placed back in the same location in the rear bumper if they have been removed? Or does placement order not matter?
no they are interchangeable...but the mounting bracket rings may differ 😁😉

Have an issue that i didn't think i would have. The crank was turned before stage 1 could be put on. How can you figure that out. Someone told me that you cant just line up the dots on the crank after that has been turned because its possible to be 180 degrees out. How do I determine it? How to set the crank?

This is absolutely the best video for yaw sensor diagnostics. I had to change my electronic brake control module recently and bought used module with the exact same part number. The abs works great with no issues, but now I have a yaw rate sensor error. I'm thinking my yaw rate sensor may need to be calibrated for the change in the the abs module. Just seen the section in the video about that brake module change can affect it! Awesome! Thanks so much!!!.
You are welcome. God bless you my friend and glad you found it helpful.

Thank you sir, have a blessed day today my friend.
If I am only changing bank 1 injectors do I need to remove both rails in order to install bank 1 injectors. I removed them without removing bank 2 rail but I don’t seem to have any luck installing bank 1 injectors with harness installed. Thanks in advance
Yes bank 1 can be done without removing bank 2 it's a bit of a challenge to get the rail in because it rubs on the left side on the head by rail pressure sensor...a guy could file a bit off the head casting in that spot to make it slide in a bit easier 😉
@@PaulysAuto Thanks
