I need more cowbell. 🤣
Tolle Arbeit! 🌟
Recommend rockwool density?
Are there strategies for older folks who want to mix their recordings who have hearing loss above 10-15k? I heard some but know I hear less than my kids.
i have balanced quarter inch cables from interface to monitors, but ive always had the hum and crackle. should i use one for my guitar input as well? or just use XLR ? my scarlett solo doesnt have xlr out though
Boom<200 Hz too loud. Did not watch beyond 0:40.
I like your Frequency Association idea. I think I have done similar exercises over the years. Have you made any videos specifically about mixing a full orchestra?
Just went downstairs and turned 4K all the way down on my mother's phone so now the Christmas movies do not bite the ceiling anymore. Thanks 4KMillion!!!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😅
22:50 I did hear a cymbal above 10kHz mostly with my left ear with my hearing aids on. I have a hearing disability since I was born.
20hz is what i like to call waiting in line outside the concert to get in
Excellent tutorial! Now to record the dog’s bark and learn what frequency it is that feels like a knife stabbing me in the ear.
I hear frequency ranges as colors
Thanks, you have just ruined listening to music for me! 🤣 Seriously though, I wish I had these tips when I used to set up PAs and sound out rooms. Great video 👍
I do similar with the EQ on my PC, years ago my Stereo EQ.
Skibbity
Highly recommend this video 💯
Saved for when I can use my earphones. Cheers.
Awesome, see you soon then! :)
The honky 600-1k range reminds me of the videos where cats sound like they are taking.
Haha that's a really good one!
🛑 I already had the Pro Q3 but I upgraded to the Pro Q4 this week and it's absolutely amazing! 💯
Nice! It’s pretty sweet!!
The kinda plugin upgrade that would make 60 year old engineers wanna time travel back with this installed. Craziest update ever.
It’s a crazy time we’re living in. Excited to make some incredible music with this thing.
@audioedges Bet you would. Man I've been replacing this with some of my older projects that I wasn't confident with and boy does it sound amazing. And just In case you didn't notice, try hovering the mouse over lower right corner of an instance in the instances view. You'll get a volume and phase control. Minimize the instances size and you have a console with eq and volume controls on all the channels you've put it on.
One of the best videos I’ve ever seen. incredible. thank you for this
Wow, thank you!
My ear may not be the best, but I recognize a Canadian accent when I hear one.
Good ear :)
Using it wrong? Apparently not! 😅
i'm not really sold on the pro-q4 - because its predecessor is that good. if you already own soothe, pro-q4's most significant update is superfluous. honestly, i don't know what else they could really add to pro-q3 that would help with what I already do.
I already have Soothe 2 and I just bought the Pro Q4 this week. Soothe 2 is in a lane all by itself. It has a different smoothing sound than the Pro Q4. I can hear the difference. I just use them both. They are both valuable tools.
It would be good to have a gap between the wall and the panel
This is the most useful listening tutorial on the internet. ❤
So glad to hear that, thanks!
7:49 - "This is what I like to describe as Honky-ness"? Me: Wait...what? 7:56 - "You're gonna hear it as kind of a honking sound." Me: Ohhhh, HonkING-ness. 😂😂
Lied and sub’d ❤
Thank you! Welcome aboard :)
Literally nothing on the <200hz section.
This is like spinal tap
It's boxy. Nah it's muddy innit
Whistling is not your forte. If you can't whistle the same key breathing out and sucking-in all you are doing is pretend. Air guitar with your mouth is an example and too much wind.
If you think of frequencies as notes on a piano from low to high, it's much easier to visualize.
Cool way to visualize it. Lower on the left, higher on the right!
I’ve never purchased an upgrade faster in my life.
😂
That 85 to 200 range is the sound I hear coming from my neighbours house at 4am 😂
Haha!
Like sonible Smart EQ
Once you hear this , all your music will sound the same .
If you don't implement, you'll stay stagnant. Always stay learning and growing. Obviously, the sound coming out of the speakers is the same, but it's your ears that are now trained to hear differently. Which equals better mixes & music.
What a time to be a mixing engineer 🙏🏽
Drawing the EQ line must be the shittest feature ever on a plug in. How can you possibly draw in an EQ without listening to the actual music and know what to expect. It's a gimmick, it wasn't broken before.
I will not really say it’s shitty cause a lot of well experienced engineers actually have an idea of an EQ curve that will work for their an audio source like for example a live Tom now being able to draw in the Curve that you know works very well for a sound can be a huge time saver especially if you’re using a touchscreen
For me it’s cool for plotting the points on a curve I know I’m going to want. After hearing a track, I have an instinct for the kind of shape I’ll want to use. I’ll then adjust the points how I want them, as you see in the video I don’t find the feature to be exact from the start. The drawing tool itself is something to get used to as well, so I feel once I’m good at it it’ll be pretty convenient for getting a rough shape going quickly.
Love your video! You deserve more subscribers!
Thank you, appreciate the support!
Side note: .... Canada?
Side note: yes :)
Picked it up earlier today
Nice! It’s great!!
I don't think there's ever been a better plugin update. Every one of the new options is a huge time-saver. Love the 'drawing' feature and the multiple instances.
Agree. It's totally nuts!
First like firt comment lol. Just thought it was funny lol
Thanks haha!
This is just like what musicians do with intervals. We relate intervals with different vibes or actual tunes. Like a 5th is Star Wars. Octave is somewhere over the rainbow. That kind of thing. Then you get used to them and feel them intuitively instead.
Cool way to think of it! Yeah, exactly - just association for frequency ranges this time!
My Bonnie is a 6th
Im learning thanks. Two TonyRobbins commercials in a row….brutal… I thought I had outlived that Jackal, now he’s back in my face. I cannot stand him. He preys on people, like a shark. Do you have any way as content creator to limit who advertises during your media?
Sorry, I can't control which ads you get. Ads are based on your own algorithm. Thanks for watching!
First life forms were of molecular size and might have been interacting with molecule size elements around them. For example sensing air molecules hitting them or photons causing some damage. These sensing behavior later developed into larger systems and systematic sensations.. Just my thought
great video
Hey Great Video! I saw that you briefly touched on the algorithm. You should mention that changing the algorithm after any other changes would totally reset everything.
