It's a miracle we got RDR2 at all. Rockstar just does not care about this series.

They do. Its online diddnt make remotly as much as gta5 did. Even gta5 diddnt get a single player dlc

Rdr1 Undead Nightmare By far best because of Western. Eastern Rdr2 no DLC the Story Mode is best. Red Dead Online is Poorly Died Off Steak From Rockstar
As much as I love GTA and RDR, I will never forgive Rockstar for not giving us an expansion for RDR 2, Undead nightmare 2, or something supernatural, or at least the rumored expansions on Sadie and Charles...so much potential...
Stop over reacting. If you don't forgive Rockstar then I expect you won't be buying GTA VI when it releases? You act like Rockstar revolves around your wants and needs. If you don't like Rockstar so much and they're so unforgivable then why do you buy, play and beat their games? You expect and ask for too much. Be thankful RDR even has a sequel. Quit complaining and hating people over unimportant shit.

its because the execs knew gta online would bring more money and they were hoping red dead online would do the same but since rdr online failed they tol them rockstar boahs to quit it with the cowboys and focus on the shark cards for gta 6 i think this is the most plausible

Nah, Rockstar has too much money to do that. They just want to milk gta online until GTA 6 comes out, then rdr2 will get new updates and expansions after that they'll shut down gta online and release gta 6 online.

The fact that Rockstar went with quick cash-grab RDO over ANY single player DLC is insane. RDO no longer receives support, which was expected; a continued story expansion, or even an Undead 2, would've been MUCH more appreciated, years after RDR2's initial release.
The short answer is money and they no longer care about the customers
It would be cool if rdr2 undead nightmare 2 had vampires this time due to the side quest I think it was , I never found the vampier

I'll tell you why we never got it. Red Dead Online.
The people that were too adicted to their daily streaks and dressing up as clowns rather than quit playing the game when they were unhappy with it.
They complained about every single update they got. Each one changed the game substantially and it was never enough for them. They were whiny.
So Rockstar focused on updating RDO and then when they still kept whining- left RDR2 behind entirely.

the real reason is: rockstar don't want to. that is all. they dropped a game with huge potential for no reason. it is crazy how every big game company make bad choices on purpose nowdays.

why spend money on something new when you can always get tons of money from GTA Online when millions of losers still play GTA Online.

but with regardless to "Undead Nightmare 2", instead of zombies a Greta idea would be to have a Hollywood nightmare style DLC in which the whole game is always during night time and evil NPCs you encounter are vampires, warewolves, witches, demons and other monsters from fantasy genre games, like Witcher 3
that would have been such a cool concept idea.

at least I'm hoping Rockstar will make a PC port for RDR1 in the near future. maybe because if some kind of 10 years anniversary for RDR2.
that's just my dream.
I don't have a console. only PC.
so I would love playing RDR1 from start to finish for the first time.

Don't worry, gta5 online prob gonna get shut down once 6 comes out, and rdr2 is gonna prob get new updates. RDR 2 has a better engine for modding and stabler.

rdr2 should have had an undead nightmares dlc because they knew we wanted it and knew we wanted any reason to Play as Arthur again me personally I would have bought the dlc for another 50$ and I feel like I'm not alone

It's because they wanted to make billions of dollars off microtransactions in RDO but RDO turned out to be a total flop because you can't sell people flying bikes with lock on missiles and orbital griefing weapons in a game set in 1899. Also the RDR fanbase isn't the same as the GTA fanbase. RDO died and Rockstar moved on.
Says who, they could have added mind controlling ufos, riding sasquatches, turning into zombies, etc. into the game, but it's not about making millions of dollars. it's about allocating resources to a new game. gta5 online had so many years without competition, rdo had to contest for resources from gta 5 online and gta 6. But I know that once gta6 comes out say bye bye to gta5 online server wipe and delete and rdr prob will get new dlcs and regular updates until new rdr3 comes out and all the resources from gta5 will go to gta6.
Either way, Rockstar was too big not to keep updating rdo. They are simply either lazy or dont wish to expand their team. Rememeber covid 2020 hit everyone hard too.
Rockstar basically have a money printing machine at this point. They've profited so much money, I just don't see any reason why the fans didn't get a RD Nightmare sequel. There's literally no excuse except that Rockstar really doesn't care what the fans want.
You're right there. From Rockstars perspective, why spend time and money making a DLC, when they can do almost nothing and make one for GTA 5 Online and make easy money. GTA 5 Online ruined any chance of DLC.
R* should have made Undead Nightmare 2
After red dead redemption 2 all I what after was an undead nightmare 2, because I what to see Arthur and the gang fighting to survive, also I think I have the prefect set up just keep the prologue the same until the gang gets to horse shore overlook, because remember they get there that a small time jump before the chapter starting, so have Arthur along with I don't know Charles and Bill going into the town finding it empty than then see someone getting attack by zombies.
Also on a side note I can see Dutch using the chaos of the zombies to take over a town like valentine or Rhodes using his leadership charms to bring more people into the gang.

Even if they were working on GTA 6 they could of worked on this at the same time since undead had a short story line you don't need much of a story the fun part of the game was killing zombies and running into people that lost their minds on the side of the road

honestly I would much rather have had a cowboy's and aliens DLC for Red Dead 2. with the euphoria physics in that game i would've loved to see ray guns and laser guns with a mechanical horse that never runs out of stamina that you never have to feed. like imagine blasting aliens to bits dual wielding a ray gun and a Scofield. they could keep the green theme too from undead nightmare. i'm still holding out hope rockstar will surprise us one day with that.
The closest we'll ever get to an "undead nightmare 2" is a Red Dead online zombie game-mode during halloween.
It is true, I played this whole campaign not even finishing or starting the regular campaign and was still engaged and did not feel lost .
I was hoping we'd have cowboys vs aliens instead of the undead nightmare due to the ufo easter eggs and the fact you could only collect 2/3 meteorites i thought you'd unlock the last one during the dlc
Most likely what it was there is broken ways to supposedly get the 3rd piece but who knows
Its simple: gta Online makes so much money they dont care about anything else.... if RD Online even makes 10% of GTA it would be dumb to put work into a DLC
Why can't rockstar and t2 just hire another developer to do single player dlc for there games if they don't have "time" for single player dlc!
I know right? They did this with GTA V as well. They promised 3 DLCS to the GTA V and all of them were scrapped (With one of them ending up becoming the doomsday heist/scenario in GTA ONLINE.) The information was leaked and we were suppose to get Agent Trevor - The DLC that later became the Doomsday Heist, A zombie DLC and a Liberty City DLC (Although that makes sense why they cancelled it if you think about it BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN GREAT FOR GTA ONLINE BECAUSE PEOPLE LOVED GTA IV) Not only that but in the source code leak for GTA V there was evidence that we were going to get a sequel to bully scholarship edition/Canis Canem Edit. Just think about what we will see if RDR2s source code gets leaked in the future.
my last playthrough was a year or 2 ago and i can say tomahawks are broken, i just spent most of the game melee the zombies with it and made a video on it. basically i had max ammo on all weapons because i only melee them.

If rockstar released undead nightmare 2 separately and charged it 30 bucks I would actually buy it instead of spending a single dollar on the online game

I think a reason for no undead nightmare 2 is because RDR1 was more of a spaghetti western. Still, I would've loved to see it, and it wouldn't of ruined what's "canon" and what's not, as it would've all been a nightmare anyway. Or maybe we could've seen something else in the Eastern parts of the map, there just seems to be so much mystery. Something like the early versions of the automobile being built, or more native american storyline. I think it's safe to say we won't get any DLC though...at least for now. We can always hope, though.
I was always under the impression that the RDR series was under another development team (rockstar San Diego) than gta (rockstar North). I’m not sure how the performance of one series would affect the other. Though I do think it’s true that RDO failed so they put down future development on RDR2 to focus on RDR3.

It would be so much better if GTA VI had Undead Nightmare instead. Vice City full of zombies? It would be a much greater setting for a zombie DLC. Undead Nightmare doesn't have to be limited to the Wild West. Theres no better zombie apocalypse than one that takes place in a massive city. Just imagine how Rockstar can utilize GTA VI capabilities. I don't know man, something about zombie aligators running after you seems really exciting.
There are mods, but there's just so much lore, land & narrative they could have officially made into singleplayer DLC, after RDR2. The period of Arthur's wife & son, John's daughter, John taking his family to the Yukon, the Blackwater massacre, Karen's whereabouts, Undead Nightmare 2, Guarma, Mexico completely wasted & unused!... So much built up community good will at Rockstar has been lost because of Strauss Zelnick & his ridiculous almost sole focus on GTA Online. GTA VI isn't going to bring that back!
People like to blame gtao for rdr2 lack of content when they know its because of gta 6. The reason is they have no argument with this fact because they know money wise, fan base wise that gta 6 is above rdr2 and they can't accept that gta 6 is logically in priority before rdr2. Gta 5 is an 2013 game with so many prebuild assets. Making new cars, mission and stuff is barely nothing and they only need a few month and a handful of devs that just need to copy past an interior and put similar previous asset and mission to make a dlc and cars are easy to make at that point. Rdr 2 is a way more recent game and they need to create more asset in order to make contents and it would take more ressources.
We still didn't get a trailer 2 for gta 6 and i bet that there is a massive crunch on going in rockstar right now and they probably don't give a damn about rdr 2 right now when they have a big scale project as gta6 in their hand right now that could double their profit from gta 5 with this one. In a business perspective it an easy decision for take two ceo to tell rcokstar to forget rdr2 and focus on gta 6

The game is nearly six years old now and GTA6 is just around the corner. Rockstar have long abandoned RDR2 (mainly for the awful cash cow that is GTA Online), so unfortunately we will never see Undead Nightmare 2.
@@averageperson8882 I am personally holding onto the hope that once GTA 6 is out we could potentially see something like undead nightmare 2! May I be naïve or not, I can only dream lol! I feel it isn't fair that alot of people are jumping on rockstar because they aren't updating or releasing other games, but I think they've been really trying to refine and complete GTA 6 and I'm willing to wait for it
Also, GTA 5 is much older and red dead is still one of rockstar's most beloved franchises. But this is all just my opinion at the end of the day, you're welcome to believe what u wanna believe!
