Welding a Sterling 10.5 Limited Slip Differential - Locker on the cheap!!
Lockers are a must if you want to do any type of serious wheeling. My 1 ton YJ has a welded Dana 60 front axle and a Limited Slip sterling 10.5 rear axle. The limited slip in the rear did almost nothing for me off road so its time to change that. Trying to ball on a budget, the best way to lock up the rear is to weld it. Welding a standard open diff is pretty straight forward but a limited slip has some extra steps and challenges. Sit back and hang out with me as I go through the steps I took to weld this diff and get locked up. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel.

มุมมอง 2.8K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Huge shout out to Auxbeam for hooking us up. They reached out and wanted to support the channel and get the new YJ some upgrades. In this video I install their 8 gang switch panel AR-820 (duel sided outlet) and their 12 pack rock lights. Install was super easy and so far I'm liking the products. Cant wait to get them out on the trail for the real test. Check out their website below and let them...
Needed upgrade for your manual YJ - Teraflex Hand Throttle install + Wheeling
มุมมอง 4.9K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
In the garage today, I install the Teraflex hand throttle kit in my Jeep YJ. This is a much needed upgrade if you do any sort of wheeling with your manual transmission. Trying to navigate climbs and large obstacles while manipulating three pedals can be a pain. With this kit you take over the gas pedal with your hand allowing your feet to do the work on the brake and clutch. Let me know if this...

Well I'm jumping on the bandwagon and doing something I should have done a while ago. With my rockers trashed, it only makes sense to cut them out and improve the tub by adding boatsides. Sam's jeep turned out awesome so I'm going to follow in his footsteps. Hope you enjoy seeing me cut my Jeep into more pieces. Thanks for watching!!

I know it an older video but word of suggestion, when you welding that close to a machined surface, your front ram, it's good practice to cover it to keep the weld spatter off of it. Your seals will thank you.

Is there any reason this could not be achieved with a 95 Rio Grande, 2.5L AX5? I need to replace my transmission crossmember and I will be welding on new frame brackets for the center. Just looking at mine and only looks like the exhaust might get in the way.
