I appreciate how you prioritize your life. Family first. Always look forward to your videos. Don’t rush your content. Thanks for being great dog parents. Our life would be incomplete without pets.
100% agree! I don’t know what I’d do with out dogs in my life. I love them like they are children. Thank you for saying that and thank you for supporting the channel and sticking along! Family first indeed 🤘🏼🍻
Squeaky clean! Great video as always & I think a lot of us can appreciate your honesty with things taking priority in life. Family first always. YJ is looking great.
Thank you brother! I know you understand the family first mindset all to well. I appreciate the support and can’t wait for day the yjs are on the trail together. And you get to see your old springs again 😂
That means a lot, all I can do in life is try to be the best I can. Wether that’s a father, a husband, a dog dad, or whatever I find myself in. I’ll keep plugging away as I can and I’ll be sure to keep Luna a happy pup for many years. Thanks for the constant support!!🍻
Thank you sir! I think so too, definitely going to come in handy cleaning all the rust on my junk 😂. Luna’s hanging in there, just some adjusting to life in brail. She’s still living a good life and I’m doing everything I can to make it better for her.
No rush and no worries. I’ve had my YJ for over a year and I’m not done yet either (but it’s a Jeep so it’s never done). I had to stop working on mine because of other life duties I have to take care of. Luckily I’m almost done with all that stuff and ordered some more things for my YJ. I was just going to stick with the stock roll cage and add on, but your build inspired me to plan on getting a tube bender and making it from scratch.
Agreed and i appreciate you sticking along through all this. That’s exciting you’re getting back to your YJ and you won’t regret doing a custom cage. One for the safety aspect but two the satisfaction and fun of making it your own and how you want it. Good luck with your build and I’m glad I could be an inspiration 🤘🏼🍻
I've used rust converter from Eastwood called Fast Etch; pricey but it does a great job without scrubbing. Spray bottle and go at it, when it dries it leaves that protective powder you mentioned.
Huh I’ll have to check that out. I see that being really useful for areas that can’t be reached. I appreciate you sharing that info. Definitely going to look into it 👍🏼
It is nice to be back in the garage. Luna is a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix and Juniper is full Border Collie. They are great dogs but have a ton of energy so having time and space to run them is definitely a must. Very smart and loyal dogs, I highly recommend the breed
Great video glad to hear everything is slowly getting better! Sorry to hear about Luna....we have a diabetic dog that's starting to go blind also! Also what's the deal on those battery holders I've been looking for something like that....where can I get one?
Thank you for watching! You know the struggles with a diabetic dog but it’s worth it to keep them happy and healthy. The battery racks we make at my work but production of them had to temporarily stopped while we source some of the materials and refine the process. I’m hoping once we get it straightened out I can get work out a subscriber deal. I’ll try and keep it updated as much as I can
I bought the motobilt front full width kit for my yj based on how easy you made it seem lol. Does the rock sliders just bolt on? Any cutting? Think they will work with flares?
I hope it ends up being as easy as I made it look hahaha but yes the rock sliders sandwich between the body mount bushings and the tub and then you have to drill holes to bolt them to the body itself. As for cutting I can’t exactly remember but I also did it when I was cutting out my floor so my experience was a bit different. I think it was part 2 of my floor build that I had the sliders installed. As for flares I would think they should work just fine, maybe slight trimming of the flares depending on the make. Thank you for watching!!
Not really anything to do with rust removal but I notice you dont have any beads rolled in your floor pans. Ate they flimsy at all or are they good the way they are?
Great question, I didn’t really show it in this video but I have an entire skeleton made out of 3/4” square tube under the floor that it’s all welded to. In hindsight, I probably went overkill with it and did it the hard way. I should have found a way to do some bead rolling but at the time I had no way to do it and just came up with my own way to make it strong haha. I have a playlist on my channel on how I made the floor if you’d like to check it out. Appreciate you watching, thank you!
If you can send me a message on Instagram. We are working on getting them on our website at work and once it’s listed I’ll have a link to send. I’m also trying to work with the owner to get my subscribers a discount code on them too. They are pretty awesome and we have different set ups for different brand batteries as well.
Sometimes you just want to do work without all the noise or video. Sorry about Luna it's always a hard when the fur babies get older. Your build inspires me to work on mine. I've taken about a six month break as well. I do have a stupid question. I also have boomerang shackles. One of us has them installed backwards. Lol.
Yeah there are times that I want to work without worrying about filming, it does help to get me started again but I also love sharing and showing what I’m working on. The dogs are just like children to me and you’re correct the older they get the harder it is. Sammy our oldest dog is still around too but she’s currently staying with my parents because the new house isn’t optimal for her bad hips. I’m glad I can inspire people like you to build awesome projects. As for the shackles 😂 I’ve looked around for proper direction in the past and then when I switched to the new leafs I have to run them the way I currently have it or they will bind on the frame. Don’t know if it’s the proper way or not, or if it’ll work but I’ll find out for sure lol.
I actually work in the firearms industry but our company has tooling and machinery to make all sorts of things. We delve into making things that we can use for ourself and then if it’s a cool product we’ll throw it on the website. The company is HD Defense out of Mechanicsburg, PA. Our sister company is HD Designs which is where products like the battery rack would be sold. It’s currently not listed yet but I’m working on a few details with the owner and hopefully we can get them launched soon!!
Hey Vic, we are working on getting them listed on our website and trying to work out some other details also. If you can send me a message on Instagram so I can respond to you a bit easier. Thank you for watching!
I can be long winded haha but I do try to explain it fully for people that have trouble understanding the process. The beauty about TH-cam it the ability to skip ahead to the main parts of the video. I have subscribers who like to know life events as well so I try and update those when I can too. Thank you for watching!

I’m so sorry about your pup but glad to see you are still at it. Family is so much more important…keep up the awesome work being a great dad👍🏻

Good to see you back on camera. Hang in there.
I’m trying to get back into the swing of things. I appreciate your support and sticking it out with me haha

Sorry to hear about Luna Brother! That stuff is Amazing.....
Thank you, she’s hanging in and we are adjusting. No shortage of love for her hahah and yes the metal prep is awesome
Glad to see you are back in the garage and working on the jeep.
I'm also looking to get another pup... what bread are your dogs?

Great tip!!! Wondering if a orbital sander with a scotch pad Would work faster!
That’s a great idea and I should have thought of that, I’ll definitely give it a shot next time I have to do this process 🤘🏼

Thank you! That’s awesome 🍻

Progress is Progress! and I guess you can have your welder back
Yes sir!! Feels good to get something done on it. Haha you use it as long as you need buddy!
What do you do for work?

Man if you think 4 months has flown by wait until you're 6 months from your oldest going to college and you look up and wonder where the time went.
I can imagine, it seems like every day goes faster and faster and in a blink it’s already the next milestone.
Too much talking about everything except the job at hand
