  • Im a little behind on uploading this one but better late than never. Back in June we got the opportunity to meet up with Hollie at the Bantam Jeep fest and she invited us to tag along with her and some awesome people for a day of wheeling at Rausch Creek. It was a hell of a day catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. Make sure to check out all the people that made this day such a blast, Thanks for watching!!

      Thank you! Haha not bad for a bolt on rig with 37’s and a 3.5” lift. That Jeep actually surprises me every time we take it out lol

    Looks like you had a blast! Can't wait to see you get the YJ out there.
    I'd like to take a trip down to Rausch Creek with my CJ-7 sometime

      Me too! The YJ has only been to Rausch one time when it was on 33’s. I can’t wait to see the difference. We’ll definitely meet up there one day 🤘🏼

    6:01 Also this is why it is constantly advised to have something heavy on the winch line incase a failure occurs.

      Exactly, we didn’t really have anything at that time but the video showed a great example of why synthetic lines are great and release all the energy unlike steel line. Also making sure no one is near a taught winch line is super important as well

    Everyone talking about good example about the winch. It's also a good example of why not to buy those cheap Amazon bumpers and sliders. Buy quality.

      Look at the logo, I wouldn’t say Amazon bumper here

      @@quaykuhn8033 lol, did you not watch the video. It was the welds that broke. The top piece that was bolted to the frame was still there. Lol. Smh

      Agreed, that Jeep now had a Motobilt bumper on it but even quality parts run the risk of failing. All in all quality parts are the way to go 🤙🏼

      Just found this video, a couple of things about the failure. The bumper was a Barnes Pritchett Canyon that was either improperly installed or both lower bolts sheared off clean. When the bumper gets lifted up in the air after the failure you can see both lower holes are intact. The Jeep was hung up hard on a rock which put a great deal of load on the recovery point and the lack of lower bolts meant it was able to lever up and compromise the welds which eventually failed. Someone commented about a Motobilt replacement, nothing against them but Nate on Dirt Lifestyle had a similar failure on a JT with a Motobilt bumper. It happens, make sure to install your recovery gear, including the recovery points, correctly using all hardware and just as importantly if possible have someone WATCHING it during recovery from a safe place. I saw a bumper moving on a late model Bronco at AOAA a few months ago and we stopped the winching to check things over.

      I’m hoping to this year but we aren’t sure yet. We have even more exciting things happening currently and it may make it hard for us to go this year. I’m definitely going to try though!

    Why not drive the Jeep there?

    • @loganmumma4506

      Maybe expecting to brake something ?

    • @altered_life
      @altered_life  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep like Logan said, just in case anything would break it makes life easier then trying to make a repair in the parking lot lol. Also we had the trailer available and I wanted to test out how well the F150 towed a full size Jeep
