Thank you for sharing.... Samoa is my HAPPY PLACE, I try to visit my Mothers Country as much as I could when I have time off work living in New Zealand with my beautiful Wife and our 4 loving girls. Mums from Savaii Islands and I prefer to travel and stay there than the Island of Upolu. Dad's Italian and from BOLOGNA so we also try to visit our Italian side of the family. That bus ride was epic 😂 yes the lap sitting is indeed rare for outsiders but not for us 😂 when the buses gets full just choose any lap to sit 😂 it is very uncomfortable especially if yours took 3 hours!

I live in Auckland. I hate the city But i live in thw Waitakete Ranges. I lived in London for 3.5 years and i hated it BUt i made the efforr to get out n about in the country on weekends. Auckland city cebtre is an eye sore and damn road works and other things going on.

Keep up the honesty. Auckland is a rat race, but has some nice spots. Different world down south. But having some patience, and experiencing both parts of kiwi land , the cities and outback, means you can really get what life is like Dow n under.

The South Island is mile’s better than the North and I grew up in the Waikato in an awesome Town called Te Aroha but I served my time in the Army in Burnham and it’s a thousand times better than the north 🔥

A long-time resident in New Zealand, I share your strong dislike of Auckland. To judge Aotearoa on the home of a third of the population is a travesty. Head south, head out of town, go wild and you will be amazed. The real Aotearoa is in Te Wai Pounamu, the South Island, in areas such as Nelson, the West Coast, Inland Canterbury, the Southland coast and Rakiura. 🙂🙂

I'm a former Aucklander who lives in the Nelson Tasman region and regularly goes to places like the Abel Tasman National Park and goes boating on the Nelson Lakes, etc. You would have to pay me a LOT of money to return to Auckland. Two aspects of Auckland are great though. Firstly, the Waitakere Ranges, and the West Coast beaches, both above and below the Manukau Harbour. Secondly, for those who have a larger launch or yacht, going on holiday out on the Hauraki Gulf, and staying at the various islands, etc. is just a wonderful experience. I'm sorry that you got some negative feedback, because you were just being honest about your feelings. Peace!
