It’s quite nice how you make the videos you want to make, not what the algorithm wants or what gets the most attention. This channel feels so much calmer and civilized, with videos that don’t seek maximum spectacle. This channel has given me something to look forward to on Monday.

I tend to have a hard time figuring out audio without captions. So, thanks for giving videos *actual* captioning. Some of these I couldn't decipher. (Yes, the radiance is hard of hearing)

What if giving myla the flower prevented her from getting infected?

The hollow knight and the pure vessel both had cut dream nail dialogue. The Hollow Knight was impure so the dream nail dialogue was “…do not think… do not speak… do not hope… do not… …” and THK’s was me (radiance) speaking, some of which was later used as dream nail dialogue for me. The PV was aware of its impurity.

The radiance and Bill venn diagram; the Radiance and Bill cipher both intrude in the minds of people. Similarly, the more intelligent somebody is, the more likely they deny them access to their mind. Bill couldn’t enter the mind of Stanford because he was smart enough to prevent him. The mantis tribe ignored the Infection due to their brain power. Dipper got tricked by bill to give up his body, and the Traitor lord gave himself to the infection. That’s my theory at least.

I've wondered if anyone else has an ability like Isma's. Like...if she was mosskin, maybe other mosskin had plant related abilities. And also if she was a mosskin, that could tie the acid of Isma's grove to that of western Hallownest in some way. The pools don't have the same source, but I wonder if there's some.....plant or plant magic type reason. I've also seen it suggested (sadly can't remember where) (wait was it you) (sorry if it was and I forgot) that Isma's Grove could be part of a purification system for the waterways. I don't know. In any case, I think something was going wrong. Isma has her dreamnail dialog "...Ogrim... there's no time..." No time for what? There's no explanation that I know of. Whatever the Grove is, it was something important to Hallownest. TWO Great Knights are associated with it, as well as the only guards stationed in the Waterways (though they go a bit outside the Grove too and could have other purpose...personally I think Emilitia was a smuggler and that's why her house is connected there (and has containers stacked around the exit in the waterways)). It also has the pipes the pump the acid from the area. The switch isn't even that close. I wonder if it used to pump acid away all the time but hadn't been in use since Hallownest's decline, and the acid levels rose. There's also the state of Kingdom's Edge to consider. The bees are in a poor state. The acid dumps right on top of the Hive (though it doesn't seem to have entered), and there's no vegetation in sight. ....Almost. I think the Grove could be the last pocket of greenery in the area. It would be something Isma could be there to help protect. It's my theory that some time after the Pale King left, or his death, the Cast-Off Shell began degrading. It's been around for centuries, but the shell is nowhere near how a centuries-old corpse should be. Still. There's that seal inside, around the "egg" the Pale King emerged from, protecting the King's Brand. And when you take it, the whole corpse collapses. The seal is fading when you find it. I think the King's departure or death made it start degrading. Only then did the ash start to fall in Kingdom's Edge. Any greenery that was there was smothered. Ecological disaster for the Hive. The Hive was...cut off from the rest of Hallownest really, and it seems they just shut themselves away. Maybe the King didn't care about how they were affected by acid (or maybe the ashfall if any of that happened while he was aware). Or maybe he did and Isma was there to help. Or....she could've tried to help in some way without his input, if he had disappeared. There's also the fact that Cornifer says that the City bugs seemed reluctant to build into the area. I think it was taboo and illegal (and Markoth was trying to find the secret origins of Hallownest and the Pale King, the very thing the Pale King didn't want to happen and thus shut off the area, and that's why Markoth thought people would come after him and.....this is getting away from me). I just kinda wonder if the acid served the King's needs in some way. Keep the area more hostile. The Hive could be isolated, fine. Let corpses rain from above (though the acid might keep some of that...."cleaned"). Anyway thanks for all these videos. Just in general. It's fun to think about all this, and you have nice ideas that often stick with me on all the lore

Oh boy I have many thoughts on Sly and have been meaning to make a tumblr post. But one of them is focusing on his line when you get the Nailmaster's Glory charm: "But as the Great Nailsage I must recognise your skill. You have mastered the arts of my remaining pupils. Now tradition decrees you too may hold the symbol." Mastered the arts of his....REMAINING pupils.... Also the charm description itself: "Contains the passion, skill and regrets of a Nailmaster." REGRETS, huh? Team Cherry also said this of Esmy in the Reddit AMA: "Someone that still lingers in his dreams." I think Esmy was a former pupil. Something bad happened. Personally I think they died. So many of Sly's thoughts are about Oro, Mato, and Sheo....I can only think Esmy could take an important place in his heart, even if he has great regrets over how everything turned out. Getting further and further into hc territory Esmy's death is related to the split between Oro and Mato, where Mato blames Oro for it. Really, not that much evidence based except that Oro might feel "pride, or fear, or shame" (Sheo speculation on his isolation), and Oro thinks that Mato views him as an enemy (though Mato's thoughts are the Oro "owes" him something, so this may be off the mark). Oro also says, when you have Nailmaster's Glory: "I do not begrudge you his love. You have earned it." Almost sounds like he thinks he doesn't have or isn't worthy of love. (See also him speaking of Sheo: "Yes, he was the mightiest of the Great Nailsage's pupils, far outshining Mato and myself. My brother and my master loved him very much." Again love and skill are juxtoposed.) And in the Pantheons, Oro and Mato can be contrasted in Oro wanting to forge ahead to prove himself, whereas Mato wants to fight alongside each other. My hc is just...I dunno, Oro and Esmy forged ahead of the group for some kinda plan and...Esmy died. Like the only thing we know of their personality is they wanted to drag Sly (and others?) deeper than he would've otherwise gone. Which could be something in conjunction with Oro's personality of wanting to run ahead alone. I just imagine them getting up to something dangerous that Esmy did not survive. And yes, Sheo also speaks of Oro's regret as if he doesn't know what it is...clearly everyone would know in this case if Esmy died. I dunno. He might not understand Oro's emotions. I doubt Oro makes it easy. In any case, I think there were a few big things that split them all up. Oro and Mato hating each other (to a point), and Sly...stopped being the Nailsage. Sorta. He still carries the title and gives you the charm, even though he does nothing else in that manner. (onnnne more hc of Esmy being intended successor and there's no one else to pass the title on to). Was the shopkeeper life (and resulting geo) something that attracted him away, or did he have some kind of crisis in being the Nailsage and, full of regret (brother breaking up, Esmy dying), reevaluated his life?

I'm thinking it must be someone he's seen more recently. Otherwise, why would he assume it's them? Surely he's had other customers since, say, Quirrel left. Even with Hallownest in its state. So I think Sly, the Nailmasters, or yeah Lemm is an interesting option. I am doubtful that Lemm sought a nail, but still....Lemm knows about far too much and somehow got that far into the kingdom. It's an interesting thought too on another relic seeker, because...whoever this is has brought MULTIPLE nails. A repeat customer. Why hone that many nails? And there are so many nails outside the hut. Are those past honed nails? Failed attempts to make a pure nail (like the Ancient Nailsmith's rejects that became the Quickslash charm)? I'm not sure. Still, Sly is a great candidate. I don't think it's the only time Ghost can be compared to Sly (personally...I think Sly used to live in that little village in Crossroads due to various evidence) (and he and Salubra maybe had a thing) (sorry not sorry to subject you all to that lol) (but the way Salubra talks about Ghost could apply to Sly as well)

What I’ve always wondered is why fluke hermit wouldn’t have and dreams of desires. Treasure sort of implies a degree of importance to the fluke hermit, so why shouldn’t she be infected? She isn’t a very well rounded NPC.

I like to think the knight survived the delicate flower ending considering it’s the hardest to get by far.

If Vessels grow if trained, I have a theorie that explain why the Broken Vessel is larger than the Ghost. In the hunter's journal, the hunter mentions that he once had an ally to help him hunting, but he couldn't contain himself and wanted to test his ally's strength against himself, so his ally died, and if the Broken Vessel is that ally, who trained with the hunter, but ended up being killed and his body was taken to the old basin? I don't think it makes much sense, but I think that's it

Nose also transfer m s into the mighty Zote feigning to be in trouble attempting to bait a rescue. Since nosk uses m e movies the vessel remembers rescuing zone from the beginning of the game. Or rather the vessel remember Zote screaming when he was in trouble if not saved.

I will forever maintain that the Radiance as she is now is nothing like what she was before she was forgotten. I believe there is a reason she looks exactly like the statue at the Peak’s zenith; much of what she is now is because of bugs stumbling upon that statue, and whatever used this graven image to pull itself up from the depths of oblivion was a thing broken, demented and incomplete. It only has that statue, and past grievances against it, as tools to make of itself what it is. I believe that, if we were to meet the pre-Pale King Radiance in person amidst the light of Dream, she would be so radically different that even her name would be… well, a name, as opposed to an adjective-drawn noun/broad characteristic. That being said, I shall now address your question: The Moth Tribe is not guilty. They simply gravitate towards sources of light, just like in real life, and even for a race so close to Dream, no light in slumber can compare to a light in waking. It was inevitable that the Tribe would be seduced so easily by the King… and thus, it is plain to see why the Radiance despises the Wyrm so.

After fighting the Mantos Lords, i think an option to talk with them after would be nice just to hand them a delicate flower. I think they'd accept it because the flower would remind them of their brother's child (the Traitor Lord's kid) since they were in a relationship with Ze'mer or something like that. Since there's three of them, the option to hand each one of them an individual flower would've been nice.

I have a theory about why winged nosk took the form of hornet. to enter the pantheon of hallownest you need the void heart. It’s from the void heart we find out that the knight has a will. the knight having lost many of its friends: cloth, Quirrel, Tiso, and Myla. The knight probably cares about hornet since she’s the only bug that the knight knows properly and she’s Alive (that and the fact she the knight half siblings) The fact that the knight can read, draw maps, understand danger, knows a bug is infected or not; all arguments clearly pointing at the knight having a mind. So maybe during the pantheon of hallownest, the knight was thinking about hornet because some parts of them cares about her. Nosk is stated to take the form of someone you love so the knight clearly love hornet to degree to nosk was able to exploit and take her face. This of course is a theory so I could be wrong.

Uumuu, I wouldn't call 'infected', because the Jellyfish I think were created by Monomon with the explicut intention of using the infection as a part of their existence. I mean, Monomon appears in all the dream nail dialogues for the jellies.

A fellow from the Ori community and also I know quite well music theory, the best part of Gareth's Coker composition is the instrumentation, is awesome, surely what makes not repetitive, exciting and memorable is the mood he throws to it; I'll personally struggle to put any of his songs higher than other. He may not be top genius game musicians (out of boundaries originality, unused Technics) but made it all so good ...

I don't think Mask Maker is worth considering for how they didn't get infected. Mask Maker doesn't seem like a normal bug. There's something more to Mask Maker.

i think that the dialog suggests its someone who carry more than one nail. i only know of the 100 nail warrior who does that. but i don't know the lore that well

I thought it was zote since i interpreted his “if you’re still breathing” line as an expression of annoyance and also “hope I don’t have to listen to you again,” though those were also my thoughts. …I REALLY should’ve let him die
