@@Jewellsensei Pokémon has so many weird little monkeys and we are all blessed by every one of them (yes, that includes the Unova monkeys, even though they’re unpopular)
I’m literally doing a tier list series of each type to figure out who I like best for each. I’m only 4 videos in, big applause and appreciation for someone who loves Lantern as much as I do. Wasn’t my top of the top for electric, but he was #2.
I have three polémon that are about equal favourites for me of them all, koffing, cosmoem and durant. Koffing has interesting concept of being a balloon like creature that stores toxic and flammable gasses, it also representing air pollution is kind of cool, also I think it looks very cute and has a lot of nostalgia to me considering how it was my favourite from the first generation and I saw it in the cartoon so many times because Team Rocket group had one. Cosmoem is cosmic, I think the astronomy and universe related things are very interesting, and I do also like how it is similar to a cocoons insects have and I like that fact too. It just looks magnificent, beautiful and cute. Its the perfect design, its movepool however is sadly not perfect and it being legendary makes it hard to get, especially as shiny which looks great too. It makes me think the difference between blue and red shift. Durant is just an iron ant pokémon, and for me it does not need to be more than that. I like ants, they are one of my favourite animals and durant is a metal ant, its cool and cute in my opinion. What else there would be to say? But every time I do the list about what is my favourite pokémon of each type I am a bit sad, because I can not have gothitelle on the list because cosmoem has exactly the same typing. Also if I say what is my favourite generation 5 pokémon durant takes that place, so that would not work either. Gothitelle is my favourite pokémon after these three I did mention before, black is my favourite colour, the purple is nice too, the pokémon is also connected to space and stars, and predics future from their movements. Gothitelles have seen visions of the end times of universe, how cool and terrifying, also the pokémon itself looks quite beautiful and distinct. My favourite pokémon type is propably bug, because many arthropods are my favourite animals. After gothitelle and gothorita there are many bug types in my favourite pokémon list. Volcarona is my favourite fire type, frosmoth ice type, vikavolt electric type, araquanid water type and ninjask flying type. Also the exploding moth and caterpillar from the second generation are my top favourites, very nice that they reappeared in S/V. All these bug types are very cute in my opinion. I do also like like lileep a lot and glimmora and glimmet and carbink and diancie, very cute, glimmora is my favourite rock type, lileep grass type. Lileep is based on those sea star related animals that have existed for very long, I have seen their fossils in museums many times.
I would like to list my own personal favorite pokemon of each type. I'll order mine from my least favorite type-my favorite type. Rock: Tyranitar Godzilla pokemon who craves destruction. Simple, but I love it. Normal: Meloetta Not only do I love the idol inspiration, but I relate to Meloetta with the love of song and dance. I've even called Meloetta my pokemon sister, since that is how I feel. Using Meloetta in Scarlet and Violet just added to my love for her. She might even be in my top 20 favorite pokemon now. Ground: Cubone When I was nine, I lost my mother from a drug overdose. She was forced to give me up when I was five. However, it cut deep to lose her. No matter her faults, she was my mother and I love her deeply. As such, the Cubone story of Kanto hits deep for me. Flying: Noivern Boombox wyvern, what's not to love. Beyond that, I do love Ash's Noivern from the anime, so that gets Noivern some bonus points. Fire: Ceruledge I like edgy and boy does Ceruledge hit just the right edge points for me. Beyond that, my Ceruledge really had some great battles when I was playing Pokemon Violet. One of Claire's greatest victories was taking Hassel's Baxcalibur's signature tera move to the face while she was in dragon tera type and surviving like an absolute boss. For those wondering, I named my Ceruledge Claire after the main character in Claymore, which is a relatively older anime that deserves more love. Grass: Roserade While I do love her masquerade theme, my love for Roserade comes from my first victory against Cynthia. I'll mention the main part of this later, but Cynthia's Roserade was her last pokemon and both her Roserade and my last pokemon were on their last legs. However, I managed to pull out the win. This was a turning point in my life and so I respect Roserade a lot for being my last hurdle on the first time I beat a video game all those years ago. Bug: Volcarona I used to be afraid of bugs when I was a kid. However, when I was nine, I saw a goliath moth out in our back porch. I was scared, but I was also fascinated at how a moth could get that big. Ever since then, I have liked bugs. Volcarona reminds me so much of that day. He's also just absolutely adorable. Poison: Crobat Crobat and I have quite the history. He's been one of my go to pokemon in Johto, Hoenn, and even Sinnoh sometimes. Beyond that, there was this really memorable time from a replay of Pearl. In victory road. I got two shiny golbats back to back. It was immensely shocking. I evolved one of them and Crobat's shiny started to really grow on me from there. It's even my favorite shiny pokemon. Electric: Zekrom He looks incredible, blue glow to his tail, and bolt strike is one of my favorite moves. Pokemon White is probably the Pokemon game I've replayed the most, so that also helps Zekrom's case. On top of that, when I was going around catching legendaries in Violet, Zekrom was caught in a pokeball in just three tries with no status ailments. That was a very shocking moment for me (pun intended). Fighting: Lucario Lucario and I also have quite the history. He's basically a constant in my Sinnoh teams and my Black 2 and Whte 2 teams. As such, he's a must for my top five favorite pokemon. I also find his use of aura fascinating and his design is epic. Fairy: Mimikyu Not only is Mimikyu absolutely adorable, but I can relate to Mimikyu quite a bit. My brother was the popular star athlete in high school. Meanwhile, I was the unlovable problem child with Autism in elementary. We were in the same school because it was so small. That made the comparison even more apparent. Even after elementary, I felt like I was the shadow behind everyone else and that nobody wanted me around. This thinking only changed a little over a year ago. Steel: Empoleon This goes back to my first victory against Cynthia story. During this battle, My Empoleon was my last pokemon. He was on eight HP and Cynthia's Roserade was barely hanging on too. I clicked Hydro Pump and it connected. My 11 year old brain saw that win as the bond between Empoleon and I. I wasn't exaggerating when I said this victory was a major turning point for me. Back then, I was suffering from very severe depression. I felt like I was worthless and wouldn't achieve anything, so this win felt like it was my accomplishment. If Hydro Pump missed or Roserade outsped, things would have been much different for me. I'd either have committed suicide, or I would have become a serial killer. As such, Empoleon is one of my favorite pokemon through this. Water: Milotic She's definitely grown a lot for me in recent years. When I first played Brilliant Diamond, I decided that I would use a Milotic. Little did I know at the time that this would start a snowball effect that led to Milotic being my third favorite pokemon. It all started with the champion match against Cynthia. None of my other pokemon could withstand an attack from her Garchomp, so I sent in Akiza the Milotic. She was able to tank hits from Cynthia's Garchomp like a champion. If I did not have Milotic, I would have had a much more difficult time getting through Cynthia. Then Milotic was the first pokemon I got to level 100 in a very long time. She was instrumental in wins against the elite four too. Then I decided to use Milotic in a replay of Alpha Sapphire. Once again, she proved to be a fantastic partner in my endeavors through it. All these struggles and victories have propelled Milotic into the elite of pokemon in my mind. Ice: Chien-Pao Adorable Snow Leopard, cool backstory, awesome fangs, and all around a very helpful mon. Beyond this, Chien-Pao was the first of my pokemon to get the reliable partner mark in my Pokemon Violet run, so that also makes me feel more of a connection with the snow leopard. Psychic: Hatterene I like the witchy aesthetic quite a bit. On top of that, Hatterene feels like the pokemon of Autism to me. Really sweet, but push her senses too far and you better pray for mercy. That makes me feel more connected to her. Ghost: Sableye I mentioned this before on a previous pokemon video on this channel. I love collecting minerals, so Sableye's diamond eyes really stick out to me. On top of that, I love the rivalry he has with Gabite over who gets to feast on Carbink. Dark: Darkrai The Rise of Darkrai is where my love for him originates. Being judged for something that he did not do, being an outcast who is looked down upon, and sacrificing himself for the people and place that he loves. It really speaks to me on a deep level. Dragon: Garchomp As if this was a surprise to anyone who has seen my name and profile. My love for Garchomp stems form my love sharks. I've loved sharks and dragons since I was a kid, so obviously a land dragon shark hits so many good points for me. Cynthia also played a big part in my love for Garchomp. I could go on and on about this. However, I'll end my Garchomp fanboying here. To anyone who got to the end of it. Thank you for going through my Ted talk. You've got a lot of patience and hope your future is bright.
Thanks for giving more context to why yo like what pokémon, but I seriously hope you were being exaggerating the possible consequenses of a lost in a battle against Sinnohs champion.
@@turkoositerapsidi Not exaggerating, since my mental health state was extremely unstable as a child. Between losing my mother when I was nine, getting paddled and yelled at by my adopted mom/aunt quite often, not being able to handle the emotional and sensitivity increase that Autism brings, feeling constantly alone because of how almost everyone around me would distance themselves from me, having a narcissistic adopted older brother who bullied me through about half of my childhood, having a workaholic dad/uncle who didn't try to reach out to me that much and would occasionally whip me with a belt when my mom/aunt didn't feel like paddling me, and feeling like worthless individual who shouldn't exist, my mental health state was as black as the abyss.
