Psychology Skill of the Week - Self Compassion - Writing a Kind Letter.
Welcome to another instalment of Psychology Skill of the Week with school psychologist Dr Carla Humphrys. This week Dr Humphrys talks about Self Compassion.
It is really important to treat ourselves with kindness, however we often are a lot more critical on ourselves than others. Take some time to write a kind letter to yourself as one way to start managing self-doubt. Think about what you might say to a close friend who is struggling and being self-critical. Then write a kind and gentle letter to yourself, including the things you might say to another person.
