  • Welcome to another instalment of Psychology Skill of the Week with school psychologist Dr Carla Humphrys.
    This week Dr Humphrys talks about having fun and how it's important to a person's overall wellbeing.
    Incorporating a slight change in routine to include something fun and lighthearted, like a dress-up day, can help our brains to release dopamine and endorphins, which lead to feelings of pleasure and satisfaction.
    Of course, dressing up is not going to bring everyone joy as we are all different. Try to think of some ways that you can slightly change things up to bring you joy and fulfilment this week. It doesn't have to be big, just try to complete it regularly. "
