Richie brothers auction compressor unit startup and test run
I start up and test out my new Richie brother’s auction purchase. This 1997 sullair compressor seems to be a good unit so far. I’ll be buying some air tools in the future for this unit. Could really use a sandblaster and a jackhammer with it right now.

I’m a first time buyer at Richie Brothers and have wanted to try it out for years now. I finally downloaded the app on my phone and placed a bid on several items. Most things I was out bid on but I won this Sullair 185 with a John Deere 4045 engine. Has 1,822 hours and still runs great. The air pump also works really good.

    the description is erroneous. Muskrats and beavers had nothing to do with COLLAPSED CRAP PLASTIC DRAINAGE PIPES that were obviously bent too sharply on installation - and probably had heavy equipment run across the top of the dam - maybe clearing brush or cutting grass collapsing them even more..you can see the flattened collapsed areas.. there was barely any flow going through the pipes. ONE 30 ft x 24 inch galvanized culvert pipe buried 8 inches below top of dam on pond side, slanted to bottom of dam on creekside - pond inlet 8 inches below top of dam level and 6 feet into pond so water flow at inlet doesn't erode dam. Would have cost less than the plastic pipes - not a forever solution but probably good for 100 years.

    • @Paw95
      @Paw95 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You wasn’t here to see them do it. You just made an assumptions on what you think happened. When you got beavers and muskrats living inside them they are going to ruin them. I know what happened and you don’t.

      @@Paw95 I have beavers and muskrats in my pond too. They chew the ends of the pipes But you have beavers and muskrats that weigh several tons, and sat on the pipes collapsing them? Looks more like someone's been driving a tractor with a bush hog across the top of dam to keep the willows and weeds down or the top of the dam would be overgrown with saplings and trees.

      @@Paw95 but they're collapsed .. you can see where the pipes are flattened ... I wasnt there when they were installed but it looks like many plastic culvert pipes I've had to replace because of collapse - - maybe the weight of the top fill over the pipes heavy enough to crush. I don't use plastic anymore - - they fail alot. I just replaced the plastic I installed 10 years ago - - used it as overflow for my pond, but like yours it was collapsed ... my collapse was due to running a 300 gallon orchard sprayer with tractor over them... so I put galvanized in like at the other pond - that pipe is over 50 years old and still sound.

They just clog up with debris especially if there are bends in the coils which it appears there were. Concrete open shoot is the best bet like you say, much easier to manage and to see whats going on.
